Camera Zoom FX & Camera Zoom FX Premium have a ton of customization options, and a fantastic stabilizer. (Which is good if you're like me and take too many blurry shots by accident) I've been using the paid version for a while and have found it nicer to use than the stock camera apps I've tried.
I assume you're referring to the Power; not the Power 3. Generally speaking, it's a solid phone with excellent battery life. It has two weaknesses (from my perspective):
I tested FML Lollipop a few weeks ago and had pretty good luck with the free version of Camera ZOOM FX.
Yep, the flashing process back to kitkat is the same as any custom rom - clear system, cache and dalvik and install from .zip in recovery (I prefer TWRP). I don't use Titanium Backup or anything so I can't speak to whether or not restoring a lollipop backup is possible in kitkat.
Camera Zoom FX /Camera Zoom FX Premium - Nice camera app with a great stabilizer feature. Good if you tend to take a lot of blurry photos like me.
Calm - Lots of relaxing scenes & sounds. From the same people behind calm.com.
CamScanner - Good scanner app that is becoming a little too bloated for my tastes, but still has the best post-processing options & quality I've found in a scanner app.
Checkey (Also on F-Droid, Guardian Project repo) - An app which makes checking your installed apps against virustoal.com.s databases easier. You might be surprised at how many trojans manage to sneak into the Play Store.
Clue - The best & most accurate menstrual period tracker I've found. Also tracks fertility. Best of all, the layout is not pink & super girly like most of the period tracker apps I've tried. Not every gal likes pink, and it would be nice if more period tracker apps would catch on to this like Clue.
ColorNote - Awesome small notepad app with syncing & color coding options.
Have you tried camera zoom FX. It was the 1st app I used years ago with voice control.

Have you tried a third party camera app? I bought the paid version of this one when I was running GPE: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=slide.camZoomFree
