You're on android, correct? What version does the play store says you have? You might have to reach PB on support via email or message them through Facebook to figure out what to do next if the "update" button doesn't show up for you.
Choices, Stories you play on Andorid, and presumbably Iphone might work.
there is also Choice of Games though you might have to preplay individual titles before you make a decision. Also note that Choice of games has an explicit policy on allowing the protagonist to be gay or bisexual. The stories arn't sexually explicit mind you, but do include romantic relationships. Some stories have the option of having no romance at all, but again this is a reader choice.
Maybe this will fill that void of yours: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pixelberrystudios.choices
And other games like this. Genre is Interactive Stories. Also there are Visual Novels.
gay high five!
my recs:
* we know the devil - pretty dark and horror-ish even, has three wlw characters one of whom is a trans girl. it gets serious and it's first three endings are good but upsetting (you pair up two of the girls together and one always gets left out and things go down). the true ending is beautiful though.
* little lily princess - yuri reimagining of frances hodgson burnett's little princess. 100% innocent, the loveliest thing i've ever seen (especially since i loved the book as a kid)
* once upon a windswept night - a short free visual novel made during yuri game jam, lovely art and nice atmosphere
* life is strange - i know, it's not a visual novel or a strictly romance game but do yourself a favor and play it
if not for the game itself then so you'd be able to enjoy
* love is strange - an adorable fan-made vn including the main love interest from life is strange and also some other girls you meet in the game. 10/10 would recommend
* kindred spirits on the roof - a lot of people know about it but in case you don't, it has tons of high school lesbians that are actually quite well developed characters. it's pretty relatable and fun, but has some nsfw content (it's tasteful though)
* flowers - i found it hard to make it to the end of this one, it's simply too long and slow, but the art is gorgeous
* the mobile game choices - it's one of those annoying games with microtransactions that will make you spend way too much money if you're not careful, but this one actually has a lot stories with f/f routes. in my opinion the best one is 'endless summer'.

I'm a big fan of Choices. It's basically a collection of visual novels (although generally much simpler than your typical VN, and more linear). There are a diverse collection of stories to choose from, including mystery thrillers, fantasy adventures, paranormal stuff, as well as a healthy dose of your typical female-oriented YA school/romance fluff. You generally make a character, and then tap through the story, occasionally making choices that can have short- or long-term consequences. Some of the stories even have metagames (e.g. having a certain amount of 'heist score', obtained through smart decisions throughout the story, will improve your ending in the heist story).
Here's some gameplay of a typical Choices story to see what it's like.
The writing is generally decent, and some of the stories are real gems. While I'm not a fan of all the genres (the recent bout of marriage/pregnancy/bachelorette crap has been a little grating), there are enough good choices to make it worthwhile. Even some of the more romance-oriented stuff is kinda interesting (I'm a big fan of Courtesan of Rome, which takes place in the gladitorial arenas of, you guessed it, Rome). It's also quite free to play friendly, so long as you're not planning on binging entire books, and don't care too much about love interests or your character's appearance.
The other thing to note is that there are a bunch of, dare I say, 'copycat' apps like Choices. Most of them are a lot more trashy and poorly made, but there are a few decent ones. Originals is in beta I believe, and while light on content, it's really damn good, considerably better written and more mature than Choices. Will have to wait and see how it shapes up since there's only a handful of stories now. Storyscapes was another great one, which used real properties like Titanic and X-files for its stories, but sadly it got shut down, much to the dismay of /r/storyscape.
It looks like it could be apart of the Choices mobile game, here's a Google play link. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pixelberrystudios.choices
