This is an 8 year old video though. And haptic feedback isn't really anything new. It's the same thing that makes your phone vibrate a bit when you touch a button on the screen. In fact here's an android app from the same company that lets you feel it on your phone.

LG partnered with a company called Immersion, who helped them develop a haptic feedback system throughout the UI. Immersion is also responsible for the haptics on the Nintendo Switch.
I can't remember if they mentioned what style of motor it has, but they supposedly got UI elements to feel "pretty cool". Like taking a picture somehow feels like you're clicking a mechanical button, and sliding sliders in the camera feels like moving an actual slider.
They also have an app for some examples. I'm interested to feel how it compares to my current phone, because my current phone feels like crap on those examples lol.

There is an app on the android play store that uses haptics paired with TV advertisements to show how they effect immersion levels.
