Maybe I'm remembering it wrong but it only seems to have like 3 levels of fire-power upgrades. I was looking forward to seeing my tiny plane spew forth a barrage of fireballs like in the real war. :(

Danmaku Unlimited 2 has some vast customization for a bullet hell. As you play through the game, you gain XP based on your total accumulated score and said XP will help increase your rank, which in turn gives you Upgrade Points. You have 3 firing modes (Spread, Focus, and Homing) that you can use your points to either upgrade or obtain (for example; having one point on each will have your ship fire all 3 at once), you can also use points to upgrade the starting number of shields and extra lives. Also the music is awesome.
