Beautiful! The facets kind of bother me because I'm expecting a more uneven, organic texture. But that's more of a stylistic aesthetic choice than a critique.

As others have mentioned, play with backgrounds. Consider making the texture more dull, and have you considered making your background a light source? Check out this Android live wallpaper as an example of what I mean.
