Yeah dude was wondering why in my Phonograph music player app, it said no equalizer found. I'm using this app this guy recommended it is pretty good, no ads https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.pinpong.equalizer&hl=en
Use this. Material Design based equalizer that I've been using since I cant seem to get Viper working correctly recently so I said fuck it.

I used this App but bass boost is not working at all. And it's the same for all European OP7 phones :/
That's why I need a workaround.
Phonograph doesn't have any equalizer built-in so I guess you don't have any equalizer installed.
That button runs the default equalizer on your phone, I have a Sony so it runs the ClearAudio+ interface.

Try to install this and it should run when you press the "Equalizer" button in Phonograph.
the one in GPM is used for more than Just GPM. I'm not sure if the details, but there are 2 ways to rout audio in android...one is the default way, which GPM uses, and then apps can handle this on their own and bypass this method.
any app that uses the default metod will benefit from the EQ in GPM, anything else (I know pandora bypasses it) will not change at all to your EQ settings.
I used this one the other day and it worked fine...its pretty much the same thing as the built in one, just looks better and gives you an icon to open it.

This one works okay and looks really nice
