You can set the cache to be deleted after 1 hour as min. and 3 monthes as max. Also check if the cache images and comments options are on. (All that is found in Settings -> Cache).
Also, if you want to clear the cache directly you can download Fast Cache Cleaner which is 30 KB in size and clears the cache when you just click it from app drawer (it has no UI etc.. so it's the fastest app that does that).
It'll be cool to have clear cache on exit option though.
Both Fast Cache Cleaner and Tafayor Cache Cleaner work well and can sort your apps by current cache size for easy purging.
Yes there is. On my p10 lite there is a system app that came installed with the phone and it's called "administrator" and it's icon is like a shield. Once you open it it has all sort of things to manage cleaning of the device, virus, etc. Looks like this:
Anyway, yours should have some kind of manager like mine, if not, your phone should have a option to do this on system settings - memory and storage. There you'll have an option to free space too.
There are also some apps on the play store and if you want one I'd recommend this one :

It's very simple, no options, just click the app icon and it does it's work, plain, simple and effective.
But keep in mind that you'll have to disable the pin code request upon phone restart or you'll have to press power button to turn screen on and enter your pin code. That way I'm almost sure that the finger scanner will unlock it.
Also, you can configure the finger scanner thing to " learn" more than one finger. I have scanned 2 of each hand just in case. And yes when you do it for the first time for the system to memorize your finger print, it reads your finger in various positions, upper position, sides, etc so you'll have a more relaxed experience upon using your fingers and therefore unlocking it fast.
When finger print scan is finished for the first time it will warn you that's done.
If you think that somehow it didn't scanned well and you wish to repeat configuration of the same finger, you can delete it and start again. Works pretty well I might say though.
I use this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.snowlife01.android.cache_delete No interface. It simply only clears cache. No GUI or anything. - Therefore I only need to tell tasker to open this app.
