Yes. Install one of those apps that help you find one another and it's up to you when you go seek the other out/try to sneak up on him. When you post photo proof that you've 'won' I'll take away a trophy from the loser and the winner gets two trophies.
My wife and my mom have this app hooked up. Works pretty dang well. I think we end up using it very rarely, but it's handy to say things like "hmm, I wonder if mom's made it to the theater yet, oh yeah she has, okay let's go in and find her" or "I thought my wife was on her way home, where is she? oh, looks like she's stuck in traffic".
Find My Friends. Some reviews complain it's not very powerful without IAP.
There are a bunch of 'where are my kids' apps around too, but those are only one way monitoring I think. This one has the best reviews
There are lots of apps out there that let you find the location of someone. Glympse is the most popular one, but there are others (like Family Locator, and many more). I've tried several, but they all have the same basic flaw: they require you to "confirm" your location when somebody requests it, which kinda defeats the point: I want it so that I can know where my wife is when she's on her bike, or vice-versa.
I'm currently trying one called "Find My Friends" that supposedly lets you pre-approve certain people, and not need the confirmation, but I want to see how much battery it uses.
When I used to take the subway I used Tasker to send an automated SMS when I was near the subway station, between the hours of 5PM and 7PM. That worked well for that particular case, but it's not as easy for a bike.
The solution that definitely works for us right now is Cerberus, which is a crazy amazing app in general for finding lost or stolen phones. You log in to the Cerberus Client, and you can immediately see (and track) any of the 5 phones on your account, and it's light on battery unless it's being actively used to track. This does exactly what we want except 1) it might be against the terms of service for Cerberus as they have cut people off if the app is used for "tracking people" and 2) it's annoying to have to log in every time you want to use it. However, it does have the benefit of having a web app as well, which is convenient.
So yeah, the tl;dr is that Cerberus works pretty well for this, but I'm still trying out Find My Friends to see if it works better.
