My only bad crowd experience was on the Wednesday at Dua Lipa. Being pushed from all sides. The guy next to us shouted at me and my boyfriend for dancing because we were in his “personal space” even though we were barely moving and no one had any space anyways. Another guy was moving around us the whole time as he was filming the whole concert instead of just experiencing it. I think this day was really dangerous with having no act on at Freedome at the same time. But Sziget knew this and knew that the best marketing pictures come from a really packed main stage. Apart from that I tried to stay out of the busiest areas, especially at MainStage. I thought it was ok at Freedome. I was worried after the first day but usually after that if someone pushed accidentally they’d always apologise and it felt like Sziget again
Stromae, Woodkid, Rufus du Söl (lame crowd in front tho, just waiting for Dus), Clutch, Fran Palermo, MEUTE, Myd, Sigrid, La Fleur (Colosseum in general had better music this year than the Ticketswap arena imo). Jungle are always great, but I think the venue was way too small for them this year. Anyways, I liked most of what’s been in Freedome. Next year hopefully we can make it to some smaller stages as well, as some of them sounded awesome!
Also: Abba Tribute Band💘
Fyi, the only place (apart H&M vip area on the main stage) I've found to actually benefit the music experience was Colosseum - you can enter the construction and be almost next to the dj
Ticketswap vip is the meh-est. Freedome VIP is really nice to just chill, buy drinks, use clean toilets.
Check these out, chronologically:
Baits (Europe Stage, 16:00)
Felicia-Lu (Light stage, 16:15)
Kid Francescoli (Freedome, 17:00)
Sigrid (Main Stage, 17:30)
Palaye Royale (Freedome, 18:30)
Badbadnotgood (Freedome, 20:15)
Tame Impala (Main Stage, 21:15)
No Money Kids (Music Box, 23:00)
Other interesting names: Anne-Marie, Caribou, SYML, Jon Hopkins
There will also be Rock Disco every night at Tribute stage at 02:30, but I guess there will also so be other rock parties every night somewhere close to the Disney+ Sziget Eye, as there were last time too.
A38 is one of my personal favorite places in Budapest (see ). They organized the second(?) biggest stage of the festival for years.
Freedome seems to be the new name of that stage. I'm still not sure if A38 is organizing it, but based on the wide range of music there, I guess so.
I recommend getting a bottle like this one https://www.amazon.com/New-Wave-Enviro-Eastar-Bottle/dp/B001U8L1Y0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1500624707&sr=8-3&keywords=water+bottle+big I have one myself and love it. And also take a little spray bottle with you like this one https://prostylingtools.com/supplies/52-the-wet-spray-soft-spray-bottle-10oz.html you can fold them and use the handle to hook it on your fanny pack (if you wear one) ;)
