If you're looking for a browser that's not Chrome, Firefox, or Opera, give Habit Browser a try. It's got the most customization I've seen from a browser. It supports custom search like the Chrome's Omnibox, which you can customize for different sites, gestures, PIE controls, and many more for only ~4MB file size.
Habit Browser! As customizable as it gets I think, there's really too many unique features to list here.
Some highlights for my use:
Do you mean remember the scroll position when the app gets kicked out of RAM and the page ends up reloading or
when you tap a URL in a page and then tap the Back button on the new page?
Anyway Habit Browser works in both cases :D It has a 'Fast Back' mode, where it keeps navigation history cached and never reloads the page when you go back/forward/or return to app after it is kicked out of RAM.
I just checked and it worked in both cases auto-scrolling to the last position the webpage was in.
Habit Browser has a plethora of options. I have Fast Back mode set to Normal, Cache priority set to Maximum and "Save tabs on browser crash" turned On.
Link.
If you install Habit you can more or less make your own browser layout and design.
Here's how it looks on first install: http://i.imgur.com/63S1tzz.png
You can then move just about everything around in settings, change which buttons show, and where, add gestures to them, etc, etc.
It takes a while to get right, but you can do just about anything if you are willing to put in the time.
I copied this from my post:
I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the best browser. It blows a certain aquatic mammal out of the waters. Yes, there's a built-in ad blocker and other fancy features you haven't realized you wanted yet . . .
For ultra customisability, try Habit browser. Takes a fair bit of setting up, but you can pretty much put together your own browser, decide how it looks, what buttons you have, where it all sits, gesture controls, etc, etc.
Sorry, forgot the link
No; I use and love Habit Browser. it's extremely customisable. I especially love the customisable Action Toolbar, which i have set to be on the bottom for easy one handed browsing, and the inverted Rendering, which I toggle with an Action Toolbar shortcut (I wish the colours were customisable though; I prefer a black background).
I have tried pretty much every Android browser, and I keep coming back to Habit, because it's so fast and versatile.
That said, Chrome deserves respect for unfucking shitty mobile site formatting. :P
I use and love Firefox on my Linux desktop, but it's a heavy, laggy mess on my humble Galaxy S3 (CM13), which is not the case with Chrome or Habit. I wish this weren't the case, as Firefox Sync would have been nice. I'm looking into syncing Firefox history and bookmarks with Habit.
I always end up coming back to Habit Browser
Tried Habit Browser? Native ad-blocking and a ton of options without feeling too bloated: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.ddo.pigsty.HabitBrowser

Not sure about the features you want but this is my browser of choice lately: Habit Browser.
Given your current browsers, maybe try Habit.
Habit Browser also has adblocking abilities is overall a great browser.
The Linkme not screwed up - current link to Habit is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.ddo.pigsty.HabitBrowser
