I could talk out of my ass like I actually knew something about game design other than the articles I read and the videos I watch, but instead I'll recommend you to play Hardcode VR with a controller. I find it one of the best games out for Google Cardboard right now, and it's only 2-3 levels long.
In case you don't mind the aforementioned ass-talking, I think 3rd person games allow us to create amazing games using the concepts and techniques we've learned over decades (3D platforming, mostly), and apply them in a VR environment. This maximizes a game dev's existing knowledge, lowering his barrier to VR development, and caters to an established market of gamers.
In the long term, this eases all parties into VR in a virtuous cycle of market growth that should help our infant industry take off. (academic resource: my ass)
A good multiplayer vr game is Hardcode. It is fun to play and works flawless. It requires a bluetooth controller, but you can get some for under five dollars https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farlenkov.vrtps

There's one more game called VR girlfriend. Google play has removed that game from the store multiple times. The devs keep bringing it back under different names though. It's a very nice girlfriend simulator if you're into that kinda stuff. That games Dev has a different girlfriend game on the store right now. It's not a VR game though so if you wanna know tell me..
You'll need a Bluetooth controller to really enjoy all the games mentioned above. I have one and I really liked all the games above including VR girlfriend.
Hardcode
Installed once on a older phone, had some visual bug. Have to try it again on my P8 Lite.
Hardcode is what I think you meant, and I agree it’s a good one.
> Hardcore VR
Did you mean Hardcode VR?
