Wife and I use HomeBudget. You can sync cross-platform on multiple devices as you enter transactions, which is really nice. Mac, Windows, iOS and Android versions available.
I know you probably have been inundated with advice but I would really recommended the "home budget" app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.anishu.homebudget.full). It is compatible with Android and iOS (just another thing spouses can't agree on) and is a do it all budgeting app. It was a one time purchase of maybe 5$ on each device and then you just have to sync them with a code once. My wife and I have very different styles with money but this is a quick feedback on where you stand for the month on any given category or on the whole. It makes impulse buys easier for her to know it is covered and good for me because I like to plan and there is fluff I can move around to cover my DIY project or unexpected car repair. The app offers reporting that I review annually, but it also acts as a record where if we have a couple months of overage in a category we can dissect the issue and help determine the root cause and counter measure wether budget or behavioral. Generally my wife and I have an agreed upon limit that we have to talk to each other anytime a purchase or expense would exceed.
I like Home Budget, Not as good as the app I had when on iPhone but still does the job. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.anishu.homebudget.full&hl=en_GB
