Hi Pyraloid,
Thanks for the shoutout! For the sake of scalability and in the spirit of open source software development, we chose to use the "Don't Fly Drones Here" project from mapbox. We'd like to invite everyone to contribute to this map, so it can then be utilized for free by anyone who wants to fly safely :)
However, they have been a little slow pushing out international map support, so we may fork the project and create our own map with international airports as the starting point for No-fly zones.
Hover was built for you all, so we'd like to get your feedback regarding what features we should have, and where we should take the product from here. Also, we'd like to remind everyone that we are available on Android as well.
Cheers, Dan

General Tips: Don't fly over streets, or highways or where people congregate. Stay in line of sight. Don't fly over 400ft. Be aware of heliports, airports, heavy winds.
all those tips come with asterisks but seriously do your research and use good judgment. don't put yourself or others at unnecessary risks.
happy flying!
First there are tons of legal issues you need to read up on. Some of the best legal experts in the UAV industry are on facebook are particpate in the UAV Legal News & Discussion group. Do not fly commercially without consulting with a lawyer that is very familiar with the current legal situation with the FAA. Also please take a look a the following websites below.

Next it does not sound like you have any experience flying a UAV aka drone aka model aircraft. Get a flight sim for your computer that includes quadcopters. Learn to fly with all the GPS and compass features off. You can NOT count on those features to work 100% of time. You need to know how to control your aircraft when things go wrong. In just a few seconds a quad can crash through someone's window or cause the loss of eye or worse. Use this summer just to learn to fly in an open field. Keep a log of all your in flight time. Get the hover app, link is below.

The phantom 3 at that price is the "standard" which is great for learning to fly. However you will find the camera is lacking quality compared to the other versions. After you have spend a few months learning to fly spend the money to get one of the better versions.
Your price is way to low. As a rule of thumb most of your time as a business owner is spent trying to get more work. As a result your price needs to be high enough to support your non billable hours. Start with figuring out how much you want to make in a day. Now double that number to cover your costs for taxes and other fees, which will vary from state to state. Also you need to figure only 25-50% of your working day as billable. Count your time as a cost. Do not treat your own time as if it is free. 50% of your price should cover all of your expected costs. 25% of your price for marketing. Plan to save the last 25% to reinvest in your business or college. Setup a meeting with a CPA.
Both CPAs and Lawyers will often provide a free consultation. They don't charge because they are essentially applying for a job, and you are interviewing them. This is your chance to learn from them. Don't abuse the time and be upfront about whether or not you intend to use their services. Don't meet with just one lawyer and CPA.
Web hosting is cheap. Rebuilding a website is not. Keep your website online year around if you're going to really treat this like a business. Don't forget to get business cards.
