Most of these shots were filmed with a DJI Mavic Air. The trick is making sure both shots are filmed horizontally at the same speed. Then combined together in After Effects. ✌

if you fly over water, you should really have one of these attached to your drone. if the depth is less than 100 feet, you'll have a chance to recover your drone.
I think you can do it for $3K.

Total in-price of $2,500 shipped, can use the extra $500 to publish a big stack of sexy firefighters 2018 calendar using your drone pics!
Weather was also my perceived weak area, but still pasted with a 90%.
I would say to understand Stable vs Unstable air. And when I say understand, learn why it's Stable and Unstable. I think getting those understood you can then gleam a lot of different weather answers about visibility, moisture, pressure, etc.
Understand MTARs and TAFs, but those are pretty easy.
The charts in the supplement book are horribly blurry... So.... Ya. Just know that.
I used this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asa2fly.prepware.remote
Best $5 I spent! There is a whole section of just weather related questions. Keep doing that section till you can do it in your sleep.
Good luck. The whole 107 experience was very fun for me, little stressful, but fun.
Something like this with a single cell lipo battery and charger. Then you just need a 5.8 receiver/screen
I watched this video once, read through this guide twice and passed it. I would suggest updated study guides however.
The first time I took the test, I was of the opinion drones were toys and that the test was a rubber stamp formality. As it turns out, the FAA thinks drones are very serious business, and the FAA writes the test, so you need to approach studying as if you're studying very serious business. It isn't like your med school final exam or anything, but you can't flip through the book for five minutes and expect to pass either. Just a perspective from somebody who had to take it twice.
Not quite free but worth it:

There is a free and paid version. Free version is feature rich! I am surprised it does so much for free :). Lots of YouTube tutorials too.
We were just out at the Oregon coast today. Can’t wait to put all our footage together! It was an interesting day to shoot and have fun.
Gotta make sure you're ready to fly. Make sure your firmware is up-to-date. Make sure your mobile device supports the app and has had the necessary changes that allow it to read the Lightbridge signal over the USB (I had to root an older phone for that to happen). Read the manuals so you know what your drone will do, and what to do if it does something unusual. Go through all the settings, especially the ones that pertain to flight, because there might be some function that pisses you off, but you find out three weeks later that you can change that setting. There may be functions you thought you could use, but you can't until you're x feet/meters off the ground.
Visit https://www.mapbox.com/drone/no-fly/ and make sure your intended flight area is legit. Make some calls if it turns out you're going to be in a private or controlled flight area. It's surprising how many restricted areas there are, including small airports that don't really blip on a map.
You can shoot in 4K, but make sure you can actually view/edit 4K before you disappoint yourself and have to sink another few hundred bucks into a high-res monitor and some software. Like I did.
Do your regular maintenance, including IMU calibration and airframe inspections. Just make sure you calibrate the compass often, because that model tends to start dog-legging after a while, especially in high-metal environments.
Flying by FPV on your device screen is not going to give you a good sense of where you are or what's near you. The 94-degree FOV makes objects appear a lot nearer than they are, so you'll want to make sure you've got a line of sight on your drone at all times...which you should be doing anyway.
Have fun. You've got yourself a great machine.
Check out davinci resolve https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve/
It's a great editor, fx, color grading, and exporting software. Equivalent to premiere pro, after effects, media encoder, plus color grading and it's free from black magic. This will help editing in the future and give you more option on exporting if needed
I've been with the mini 2 since March, I recently added some eyes stickers to the drone and lights, that seems to be keeping the birds away, I also ordered a wrapgrade in neon orange(https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08N9FCQND/) to see if those bright colors will also make it less likely to be attacked
Prepware Remote Pilot app is basically that and helped me tremendously. They really should start paying me for how much I recommend this thing.

You could try the hubsan x4 with fpv camera. It's $150 on Amazon. It's the copter I would recommend learning on, but the fpv version. I just have the h107, personally but that fpv setup looks cheap and dirty and would be a good start for learning how to fly outside of line of sight
Hubsan X4 Quadcopter with FPV Camera Toy https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GSNWB5K/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_C6kKvbM0ARMDQ
I am using the Icom IC-A14 VHF Air Band transceiver (amazon non-affiliate link) but I'm unsure of the range as I haven't had anyone verify it in an actual situation yet. I can pickup local chatter to listen in very well though.
Hubsan X4. Cheap, can be had for $25-45. Relatively easy to fly, can be flown indoor and outdoors, cheap replacement parts readily available from popular vendors (amazon etc), and cheap batteries.
For around $100 you can get them both a drone and 6 extra batteries that will keep them both flying for about a half hour. The multiport charger that come with the extra batteries takes about 45 min to an hour to charge 6 batteries.
I've bashed these little things around with kids forever and they last. If you decide on the X4 pick up extra rotor blades, 5 packs will run like $10 or less. Hope this helps you.
I just ordered the flymore bundle on Amazon for the standard $999. But this bundle comes with 3 filters. They aren’t polar pro, but it’s a start. I spent about a week sorting through all the packages and different options and ultimately, this was the one I settled on.
Ordered it late Saturday night, will be here tomorrow, and that’s standard shipping without Prime.
There are other bundles that offer various accessories like the “VR headset” which is literally just the $3 goggles you put your phone into, and a couple with a memory card that reviewers are saying isn’t fast enough to record in 4K, not worth it, IMO.
I ordered the kit linked below, and a 64gb card separately.
DJI Mavic Air Fly More Combo, Onyx Black (2018 Version), 3-Filter Set, Landing Gear and More (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CYN61Q3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_5anmBb65MFXYW
Check the aeroweather app, gives both metars and decoded, so you can switch between and see what each bit means used it for my PFCO here in the UK, link for play store (sorry, not an iOS user, but I know it's available) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lakehorn.android.aeroweather
Polar pro has an app that recommends which ND to use based on the Auto shutter speed and frame rate your drive uses without a ND filter on.
You enter the shutter speed and fps you're using without any filter, then it spits out which ND filter you should use to get cinematic video. You have to go back into your drone settings and switch to manual shutter.
If you want to start out cheap with the imaging, DroneDeploy offers a (I think) free product demo from your desktop where you could upload photos to create an orthomosaic on which you can place their suite of analytic overlays (NDVI, eNDVI, etc) which make use of NIR data embedded in the EXIF, iirc. You can also perform some basic photogrammetry. Here's an example i did over water (which i should not have done): https://www.instagram.com/p/-pMIDeKdGk/
wud this work for me? have been looking at them but wont buy them if they dont work. Again i wud like to use a fatshark mushroom
There are a couple of different models of Zino all with similar sounding names. AKA hubsan zino 2, hubsan zino 2 pro, hubsan zino 2 pro plus. I am not hugely familiar with the Zino lineup, so I would make sure I am comparing apples to apples.
Unfortunately the EXO website you linked does not seem to be very unfront about what model zino this is and does not seem to list a ton of specs. My best guess is that it is the Zino 2, not the 2 plus. I assume this is to prevent people from comparison shopping. When retailers use this type of tactics, I am very disinclined to use them.
The same thing is available from banggood for like $100 less. It may take longer to ship, banggood isn't known for their speedy service, but they are pretty reliable.
My advise is pick a drone like FuriBee F36 and read the reviews and watch youtube. That's how I buy my rc aircraft. and the FuriBee F36 has great reviews. As for yours I checked a few reviews and you get what you pay for. I say look into building a drone, it's not hard to do and better quality parts. RTF cost far more.
As you have never flown a drone before, I would suggest you try and start with something cheap to learn on and see how you get on. Learning can be accident prone, so start with something like this: http://www.gearbest.com/rc-quadcopters/pp_594360.html?wid=21&lkid=10390316 . If you feel confident enough this is good: http://www.gearbest.com/rc-quadcopters/pp_350741.html?wid=21&lkid=10387591
Do yourself a favor and buy some nanoquad under 50 dollars. That's more than enough to get a feel to flying. Cheerson CX-10 (around 17 dollars), for example (recommended to buy reserve propellers).
P3A here is on sale for $580, mega deep discount from $799 regular price. http://www.gearbest.com/rc-quadcopters/pp_173536.html?lkid=10199552 with a coupon code (GBDJ3A). It will be hard to find it brand new at this price anywhere else. I'm thinking of buying one myself. DJI is the "Apple" of the drone world so to speak. It's not just a starter drone, it is one of THE top AP drones you can buy.
Hello! Thanks for the attention! There are indeed nanos that have a camera and FPV - Meaning First person view, the "live feed" you were talking about.
Go for the Cheerson CX-10 series, one of these (more specifically the CX-10W) has a camera and feeds through wi-fi to an app on a cellphone, though the quality is 0.3 Megapixels (a.k.a. potato camera. haha ;D)
I got myself one that has a camera, but doesn't live feed. It records to a Micro SD card and i have to say, it's watchable. My next acquisition is definitely the one with the Wi-Fi feature, to see myself crashing the drone into a wall live.
Thing is, nanos are cheap. They last, but it's noticeably the lowest prices. I don't know if your husband would mind noticing the price or anything. Also, buy some spare compatible props, (it comes with an extra set, but...) you're going to need them.
I have the link to the drone right here: http://www.gearbest.com/rc-quadcopters/pp_363426.html?wid=21
And also, don't keep yourself from watching a bunch of tutorials, they may be helpful as you help him fly.
See you, good luck and have fun ;D
1) I would highly highly suggest doing alot of research before jumping in. Your question of starting out with a drone is all wrong. You start out with which industry do I want to be in, then what is the best drone for the job, not the other way around.
2) PE&RS June 2016 edition has a great article on software titled A Statistical Examination of Image Stitching Software Packages For Use With Unmanned Aerial Systems. A link to the research is here https://www.researchgate.net/publication/303559305_A_Statistical_Examination_of_Image_Stitching_Software_Packages_For_Use_With_Unmanned_Aerial_Systems
3) Precision ag......This is a better question to ask as opposed to what drone. Precision ag has different segments: detection and spraying. Both require different drones. With the new Part 107 that just came out and that will go into affect in August 29th, I would suggest spending time and focusing on what your business plan looks like in light of the newly released regulations. Here is a helpful link to resources on the topic of the FAA's new Part 107 drone regulations. http://jrupprechtlaw.com/faas-new-far-part-107-drone-operators-need-know
Not sure if there's a way to "reset" trim on E58. Normally trim gets lost every time you turn off the controller (at least on the quads I've used, which are mostly inexpensive quads).
The MJX Bugs 2W is a pretty great all-around drone. It's a bit more than $200 but less than that sometimes on sale. It's got GPS so its "return to home" feature actually works (unlike most drones without GSP that claim to have the feature), brushless motors (fast and long lasting), decent range, decent flight time, and a decent camera. Not as good a camera or range as a Spark - and no camera stabilization - but significantly cheaper. There's a similar quad called the Bugs 2C which is usually cheaper and lists the same camera specs, but the camera on it is noticeably worse than the camera on the Bugs 2W (and the Bugs 2W broadcasts the camera to a 5G-capable phone or tablet as well).
You can try something like MJX X800. First of all it is a hexacopter, so you get more power. Moreover this particular model allows tuning of the remote (this you need to achieve a stable hoovering).
This is a rebrand of the FQ777 954. Which you can get for $35.: http://www.gearbest.com/rc-quadcopters/pp_279060.html or http://www.geekbuying.com/item/FQ777--954-WIFI-FPV-0-3MP-Camera-4CH-6Axis-APP-Control-MINI-Quadcopter---Black-358963.html
Not sure what your budget is, but this kit is great - everything is 'connecterized' (no soldering), appropriately sized, and you will have a hard time outgrowing it.

Current offer on Banggood. 20 props for $3.19 with code MCR11
I ordered my Xiaomi Mi Drone and two extra batteries from Banggood. I had never ordered from them before and was a little hesitant, but did some research. After placing the order they shipped both the drone and batteries within 24 hours. The package is coming from California via FedEx. They also have a live chat that answered some of my questions about the shipping. Like requiring a signature when dropping off.
If I need any replacement parts or any more batteries I'll use the same website. You can see here they provide nearly every part. The shell, controller, propellers, motors, gimbal, motherboard, etc are all available.
http://www.gearbest.com/rc-quadcopters/pp_93460.html this guy. it's really well made and cheap for a small fpv multirotor. AND its pretty rugged so it will survive the crashes you will inevitably have. also you can upgrade the motors pretty easy once you have the hang of flying it. http://micro-motor-warehouse.com/collections/all-motors/hubsan-107c-d be warned tho, those "dark edition" motor upgrades are fast as shit
Bigger kahunas than me. The air turbulence so close to the falling water would make me nope out even sooner than you did. BTW nice find of a good interesting/scenic place to film that hasn't been banned. Since this is out of Baltimore I thought it may have been. Keep up the good work and you'll be making awesome videos everyone will enjoy. If you're interested check out the map of where you can't legally fly map . Check it often as it does change so as to not be one of those pilots who ends up on the news.
Hey guys, nice interview.
AgEagle is a very close partner of ours and they're doing great work and are very successful in the agricultural space.
Our software is enabled on AgEagle's platforms and you can purchase a unit that is "DroneDeploy-ready" directly from them.
If you aren't an AgEagle user, our app is compatible with DJI (Phantom 2 Vision and up - Inspire support coming soon and we just got the P3 in the mail this week to begin integration!).
You can check out our website (http://www.DroneDeploy.com) to see the different plans we offer. Different plans geared towards different users.
Thank you so much! I was looking at that one actually. Would you recommend the combo or the other one??

I bought this one it does the job. But there are a lot of good ones out there. Just find one that had a high review count. More trustworthy.
Surprisingly I still fit everything into that bag that comes with it, but if you want a lot more room yea you'd need a bigger one. I have a backpack specifically for cameras and drones if it comes to it. Its a lowepro, similar to this:
Lowepro LP37099 DroneGuard BP 250 - A specialized drone backpack providing rugged protection for your DJI Mavic Pro/Mavic Pro Platinum, 15” laptop and 10” tablet,Black/Fractal https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XGMZL8W/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_RRBQPVG4N9RK88TDWGZB

And get liftoff on steam ($20 but maybe it goes on sale sometimes) I just got it working (it’s easy) and am learning to fly smoothly (it’s hard!) in a consequence-free environment (well there’s the consequence of spending so much time doing it but otherwise consequence free 🤷🏾♂️🙃)
Dji mavic mini. Would be great for what you want to do. Around 500 on amazon. Thousands of positive reviews. https://www.amazon.com/DJI-Mini-Fly-More-Combo/dp/B08JGX61H7/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=mavic+mini+2&qid=1619311240&sprefix=mavi&sr=8-3. better deal

Here is what I’m talking about. You’ll probably understand what I’m talking about when you see the product.
Nope not at all, although i will say if you could save up 600 you could buy a brand new mini 2 with a fly more package.
I got you! Fstop Labs Lens Filters for Mavic Air 2 Camera Lens Set, Multi Coated Filters Pack Accessories (6 Pack) ND4, ND8, ND16, ND4/CPL, ND8/CPL, ND16/CPL https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087RLHHM2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_KicdGbN7G3GPE
I bought this book, studied it for a few hours, watched this video in a few pieces, and passed the test.
The first time I took the test, I had barely glanced at the book. I deserved to fail because I was unprepared. I still viewed drones as toys. What I failed to consider was that the FAA wrote the test, and they take drones very seriously, right wrong or indifferent.
I took my test prep more seriously the second time. I still didn't invest weeks of constant studying into it. It isn't necessary, but you do need to study the material. Know the rules. Know how to read a sectional chart(the majority of my questions both times were about airspace restrictions and authorization).
I struggle to see the value in a paid for course to learn something that is ultimately as easy as the part 107 test material, but we all learn differently at different speed and with different methods. It's going to cost you about the same money to pay for a class and take the test once than it would to take the test twice, so if that is a strategy that has a better likelihood of working for you, then go for it.
Amazon seems to have the 2+ model cheaper than EXO. Prime shipping if you have it.
No no Im talking about the mavic air, from 2018. https://www.amazon.com/DJI-Mavic-Combo-Arctic-White/dp/B078WR2TZT/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=mavic+air&qid=1610063539&sr=8-4
I can see dji released a firmware update, around dec? but the original air wasn't included, that's what makes me think it's outdated
If I had the money, I'd get the air 2 over the mini 2 for sure
It's a bit on the pricey side but it feels very secure. I am able to store my P3A, all my phantom accessories, with a DSLR with a medium size lens attached (24-105mm), and a spare lens comfortably.
Manfrotto MB BP-D1 DJI Professional Video Equipment Cases Drone Backpack
Reviews mention the 4 fits just fine.
Amazon is sold out but adorama has it right now
I wish I was looking for a professional model. Looks like with the extra battery it's 1000 dollars on amazon. So I'd say that's a pretty good deal for what you are selling. My budget is about 500 so I'm looking for a standard model. Here is the link to the same drone on amazon and the price comparison if anyone was wondering.
Other than that I don't know diddly shit about drone value and depreciation.
I bought hte Syma X5C it's just under $50 with one battery.
I've been using it for a while and crashing it a lot to train. It's really durable. Plus the camera can take some shots to get a feel of what they might look like on a more expensive quad.
From what I've searched on Amazon there are a few different places to get the batteries but none that are "better" then the stock ones. But from a set I picked up for my X5C all of the sudden don't hold a charge anymore.
There was a brand that came directily from Syma that was on amazon here. One of the reviewers said that was the one that the factory makes so it should work alright. I haven't' bought it myself though.
Best bang for your buck cheap drone most people seem to be suggesting is the Syma X5C. Runs ~$50 at amazon.
There's lot of variations on it and even the bigger version in the X8's etc.
Yup it's the hubsan X4 Amazon link that someone here recommended as a great starter that won't break on the first crash. And at 30 bucks I picked up two so I had spare parts for when I eventually destroyed it (which I did)
So much fun!
Sure thing, okay so... I started with a hubsan x4 from Amazon.com it was 40 bucks. Then I got a pack that had spare batteries and propeller blades for 12 bucks. Took it to a park on a non-windy day and flew over the grass a bunch. The right control stick clicks in to switch between "beginner mode" and "expert mode" I think expert mode was actually easier to learn in.
Flite test has great videos for beginners, this one helped me immensely to practice flying: https://youtu.be/6btEFJJD4_o
The goggles were about 100 bucks on Amazon
The little FPV camera was 50 (I already had a battery for it, that's something separate you'll need if you go this route but I might have done it differently knowing what I know now)
If you want links to more stuff on Amazon or YouTube. Lets me know I've got lots!
$64 on Amazon, works perfect.. can hold the drone, 2 batteries, controller, blades, etc with room to spare plus it's modular so you can use it for photography gear or anything else:
Save up some money, so you can afford the drone that will do what you need. If youre pressed on time or youre simply impatient, then amazon has a good drone for $89 with prime that flies good, really light, and is durable when crashing it.
https://www.amazon.com/U818A-Drone-Camera-Headless-Mode/dp/B00X9JDPYC
Check out the video reviews so you can judge if its gonna do what you want
This is a little outside your price range ($230) but it's so much better than the Syma X5C (I've owned both drones). It has a lot of the features found in drones 5-10 times as expensive, with an actual return to home function that uses GPS. The Syma X5C isn't heavy enough to resist any sort of wind, while the Hubsan's GPS capabilities and added weight make it more capable of being stable. This is really helpful for a beginner. The Hubsan also has a built in live video feed which is really is a big part of the drone experience. There's many more features that I could go on about but you can read the amazon description.
Good luck and fly safe!
Probably not too many people have owned both, and I certainly haven't.
Here's 220 reviews on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Yuneec-Typhoon-Intel-RealSense-Technology/dp/B01HHVLDQO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1516306204&sr=8-3&keywords=typhoon+H
Yuneec Typhoon H has positive reviews for core functionality with high wind resistance and added peace of mind that you can take a prop failure in stride unlike a quad, and people seem to be quite happy with them, even though they are bulky and don't have as far a range as DJI's insane range ("only" 1 mile, but that's still pretty far away if you think about it, and anything further is really beyond visual range which the FAA frowns on).
Software and feature-wise, people also seem to like the DJI more as its more intelligent at things like "follow me" feature, which albeit very cool for some uses, I can't see being anything you would ever use as a firefighter anyway. A downside of the DJI though is its nanny-software may prevent you from flying where you need to in an emergency, if you're within 5 miles of a helipad or airport or something, which the Yuneec is not going to bother you about.
The downside though I could maybe see for firefighting is how quickly you can get the unit out of a bag and into the air. That might be something to investigate is what is the realistic time from "unzip bag" to have full GPS locks and be ready to safely fly, if this is meant for really time critical deployment. Either way, to me it seems way safer to get a product specifically designed with a supported thermal camera option than getting a 3rd party hack, and Yuneec customer service should be much more helpful than DJI's notoriously bad support, and the "team mode" so one guy can do camera work while the other does the flying is nice.
It's like $69 on Amazon ($79 + $10 coupon). You won't know for sure if the thing is truly operational until you use it with a controller. Just buy your own new one and have fun!
https://www.amazon.com/DoDoeleph-Quadcopter-Control-Altitude-Function/dp/B01M1LJNJK
I dont know if they make ones for mavic pro, but I got the neewer six filter set off amazon for the p4p and they worked just fine and were 46 instead of 190.
There are different products like this out there that should give you some assurance. I use a similar solution with my Mavic Air. amazon product link
I got my refurbished fly more combo on Amazon for $389 from [here](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D9J8HSB/ref=twister_B07D9HZ8FK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1). It was from the DJI Amazon store.
I know nothing about Newegg. If that one is from dji then it is a good price, but if someone else is selling it I would go for the one on Amazon.

^(Bonus points to me for getting a Hogans Heroes reference.)
This is a product sold on amazon. OP didn't distort it at all. https://www.amazon.com/NiGHT-LiONS-TECH-Channel-Quadcopter/dp/B0799H22BG/ref=sr_1_11?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1531120286&sr=1-11&keywords=drone&refinements=p_36%3A1253564011
Newbie here, but very happy with my Spark so far. App/wifi setup can be a little tricky, buy flying is dead simple and so much fun. Fly more combo just over $500 at Amazon.
Ah yes, that's a valid concern! Having to ship internationally for service would suck... In that case you probably want go with the M2P since you can most likely get service over there. Too bad though because DJI needs competition and the EVO is seriously great :)
$900? that's really cheap. I guess that what I get for only looking at Amazon lol. I paid $1099 for this bundle which I highly recommend. It even showed up a day before it was supposed to.
You'll get 1 extra battery, a micro SD card, and the bag which is awesome, I can fit everything I need, charger, cables, extra sd cards, nd filters, paperwork, my home made sun blocker, plus 2 extra batteries (so 3 total with the one already on EVO).
Good luck!
I recommend these:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asa2fly.prepware.remote&hl=en
was great for studying, don't waste $ on anything more expensive. That app is not %100 of everything on the test, you will need to study more. There are tons of free guides online.
Be able to look at this, and know what it all means: https://skyvector.com/
Another drone with something like this attached airdrop hook
Drop a line with a hook at the end on either the drone or a nearby branch. And just shake it down :-)
Here is the drone.
I also checked whether you can use generic batteries in drones though my sources are quite shitty. Overall, you might be able to find generic batteries that would work but it's not recommended. Plus this drone is 40 bucks, I wonder what the price for the batteries would be - it just might not be worth it. Hope this helps.
This one is pretty good. Still plastic but the straps are good and it hasn't fallen apart after a year.
this is the only toy drone i have any recent experience with - pretty basic, doesn't do flips or anything, but it flies ok for what it is: https://www.amazon.com/Potensic-Quadcopter-Altitude-Function-Beginners/dp/B077N3CXZY/
They picked shitty grey so you can't find them. I can see our Air 2S comfortably up to about 800ft unless the sky is the same s***** grey then I can lose it at half that. I wouldn't recommend props or too many attachments. Just get an orange skin. Black works well too.
Good case and a tablet adapter for the RC. Assuming you have the standard controller.
SO SWEET!
OK, here's my plan. Film the drone in the sky with your crappest camera and show her. Say that you saw it last week, but it was there again today. Let it sit.
Do it again the next week. Make it look a bit better. Same place, same time. This just happens to be the time you'll propose.
At the time you'll propose, have her come to see it with you. The drone comes in (she'll obviously get that it's a drone at this point), give her the ring and she's smitten.
There are some very alien looking drones, the egg comes to mind (https://www.amazon.com/PowerVision-PowerEgg-Panoramic-Camera-3-axis/dp/B0758DLRBV), but don't stress. You're not looking to fool her, just make her know that you care and tried hard to make this moment special.
Buy this book.
Then study and memorize EVERY practice question. Take the exam. PASS.
This was my exact method.
Thanks for the info!
How about this Ruko F11? It says the original price is $380, but on sale for $240. It states to have "follow me" and "return to home" modes.
Fingerless gloves or Norwegian army mittens with the removable trigger fingers.
Reflective safety vest.
Lens cleaning kits.
Bottle of Loctite for replacing screws.
Spare propellers.
Canned air for blowing sand out of the motors.
Head lamp for looking for drones after dark.
Reflective tape, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZJ5CBMH
Permethrin to treat clothes against ticks.
Label printer with outdoor weatherproof label tape.
Scarf.
Wicking helmet liner beanie.
Beef jerky.
Here's a link to some payloads. If you buy a discontinued drone the price is better than the 'latest and greatest' especially considering your use case. https://www.droneblog.com/drone-payload/
Here's a link to a drop kit: https://www.amazon.com/Professional-Release-Fishing-Delivery-Activities/dp/B07JR7RLYD
There are cheaper drop kits at around $50 but they may be limited to 14oz payloads.
Given the tone of this post, I think we all need a reminder to be prepared for confrontation while flying. For anyone with a 107 - I can't recommend this vest enough. It stops most people from bothering you with the writing on the back, and has a pocket for the 107 license just in case.
With drones becoming incredibly common, it's more important than ever to do things the right way unless we want more restrictions and negative interactions with authorities.
No matter who is right, always be EXTREMELY polite with law enforcement. There's no upside to upsetting a cop, especially in the US. I call them as soon as anyone bothers me or tells me they've called the cops on me for flying - in general, they really appreciate dealing with a professional explanation so they can ignore your typical irate HOA board member with nothing better to do than bother us.
I hope more people will earn their 107 - you'll have a lot more confidence and knowledge about these types of situations. At some point, I think it will become a requirement for drones beyond a certain performance level.
how does the stack you mentioned compare to this one? the price difference isnt huge with the current sale on it. but this one is the f7?
Im hoping to start filming downhill longboarders doing some of the mountain runs here in central CA. Most of the people I’d be filming are doing about 40mph (roughly 18 m/s), but since theyre going on windy roads i could probably get away with slower speeds as long as i take the drone straight as the crow flies. Another big factor is distance / length of the road. When theres a spotter at the bottom looking for cars, a typical run is like 3km / 2 mi, but i would probably sit in the middle of the run somewhere to only need 2km transmission.
Im seeing this Bwine which is about $530 but doesnt show the max speed
As well as tucok for about $560. issue with this one is it only goes 26 mph.
It's probably JST SH-1.0, but I'd need to see the connector it plugs into. https://www.amazon.com/Keszoox-Connector-Pre-Crimped-Kit%EF%BC%8CTotal-Connectors/dp/B09F3TMG52/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2JK5T5OVQ0PS1&keywords=jst+1mm+connector+kit&qid=1665684263&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIxLjkxIiwicXNhIjoiMS4zNyIsInFzcCI6IjEuMDAifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=jst+1mm+connector+kit%2Caps%2C109&sr=8-3
Dji recommends these. It has 160 MB /s write speed. Not sure what the one you posted has. Are you using the card in the drone, then putting the card into your phone to view? Or are you viewing the video that is saved directly to your phone when you use the app to fly? The latter is often jerky. Also it could be that the transfer speed when mirroring your phone is not fast enough to keep up with the footage you have recorded.
As far as I know it's 40 questions instead of 60 and has no sectional charts and weather stuff. Looks like you can also take it online!
Here is the Pilot Institute 's page on renewing your license with current info.
I used this Guide but it's unfortunately outdated now ... ):
Hey all,
So this was very scary. I was flying with friends, and as I was inserting the battery into the slot of my Mobula 7, the battery violently catch fire, burning my finger and drone as a result. I was lucky that we were flying outdoor, and didn't potentially catch anything else on fire. But now I'm afraid, because the battery didn't look swollen or anything, and I used it the night before just fine. Upon inspection, my friends and I agreed that a film that separated the leads within the battery was damaged, and squeezing the battery to push it into the battery slot was enough to get them to touch (or at least get close enough) and ignite. I don't know if it is Gaoneng's fault, but if it is, I want them to answer to their faulty battery construction. Now I'm terrified that any battery can just spontaneously combust as I try to plug them in. What do you all think I should do about this?

One thing that found helpful is placing some strips of prism tape along the back side of the arms and across the battery door of my Mini 2. Can definitely see the sun glint off of it during the day and it helps with directionality since I only put it on the rear side. I use this from Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B5H44Q1B. It’s the perfect width so all you have to do is cut it to length.
Looking for a recommendation for an easy to use inexpensive drone with camera for my 5 year old
I want him to get practice using it so that I can later buy a DJI or something. I want one with a camera for fun.
I found https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RZ3K67L?psc=1&ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_product\_details on Amazon but it drifts a lot.
I'm hoping for something around $50 bux. This is just for practice as I'll get a nicer one later.
Mini SE is $299. You can also get them "renewed" for $272. However, I would just spend the extra $20 for new if it were me:

https://www.amazon.com/DJI-Mini-SE-Improved-Resistance/dp/B098XMSQ3P?ref_=ast_sto_dp
I have a Mni 2. You will be REALLY happy with a Mini SE. They're extremely similar.
They have diopters at varying strengths you can get to correct for vision impairments.
If it's a newer drone you are going to want to upgrade your device. There's a lot of communication going on and if your device is underpowered it will work too hard, drop battery like a brick and easily overheat. A hood is the best first attempt. You can probably find a small battery powered clip-on fan somewhere.
This is the one I bought:
The only drawback to this unit is that it comes with a remote control, which means you have to be within range of the transmitter. I had a drop device with my Mavic 2 Zoom and that one worked off the LEDs on the drone, which means you activated it through the DJI app and therefore had a lot greater range (ie, 3 or 4 miles)
It needs to be:
V30, A2, U3
I have never had any problems with the Sandisks.
