Lens Launcher. Simple app grid of your apps, you can hide ones you don't use, change their size and sort them by alphabet or color. Also it makes a fish-eye zoom effect when you are choosing an app. To me it's perfect.

Thanks, i followed the instructions in your comment but i was wondering if i could take it one step further.
Have a button, that when you held down brought up the lens launcher, which is basically one fancy folder. Do you know if there would be any way to do this? It's basically having a launcher on a launcher
I use Lens Launcher, it's just one screen of all your apps that zooms in when you touch the screen. You also have the option to sort apps manually, by name, date downloaded, and even icon color. Also you can hide apps and customize how it zooms in and acts.

I'm using Lens Launcher but I'm still on the fence if I'll keep it as my daily driver
I'll mention it since nobody did, try out the Lens Launcher.
Lens Launcher Is this what you're thinking about?
Lens Launcher does this too.
As far as minimalizing the smartphone UI goes, I have gone as far as anyone can, in the direction i have chosen.
This is my Home-screen, it functions like an apple watch, with the icons magnifying where I touch.
The first row consists of apps that i use multiple times a day;
The second row consists of apps that are used once a day;
The third row has once a week type of apps;
Everything below that is stuff that I very rarely use, if ever. some of it is just there in case i need it, like uber and recorder, some of it is on the cutting board.
With all my apps on a single screen arranged in the order of usage, it becomes much faster and easier for me to access the programs i deem important, and lets me know which app i'm using how much.
but most importantly, it lets me know which apps to let go of.
The launcher I used is Lens Launcher for Android
And the ICON pack used, Delta.
P.S. - After posting this, I felt the compulsion to delete all the useless apps, and thus i deleted about 20 apps. hooray.
Point taken. But if you look at something like lens launcher https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nickrout.lenslauncher
Or that ad15 launcher they are pretty much just as crazy
