Thanks for that, so few games have demos that I didn't even bother checking for one. It's been on my wishlist for a while now. Here's the link if anyone wants to try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playdead.limbo&hl=en
I didn't mean to trash your accelerometer controls.. It's an interesting control mechanic and has a lot of potential.. I guess I'm just biased towards the swipe/screenjoystic since it makes the phone feel more like a game controller, using both thumbs without the need for visual or tactile feedback..
I would recommend at least trying Limbo or my game(runs best in Chrome for Android) before you dismiss it completely.. There's a lot of potential using any combination of swipe, tab, long-tab, multi-touch etc.. You can adapt the sensitivity by allowing longer drag distances before hitting max speed.. For jumping I usually use swipe up, but tapping can work just as well if you have no other actions like shooting.. Using both thumbs it probably a must for this kind of game..
But as I said, the accelerometer controls works just fine, and if you like it then by all means stick with it and perfect it.. :) I used quite a lot of time on perfecting mine as well.. ;)
I wish you the best of luck with your game.. :)
Does it support controlling using an external keyboard or using a gamepad?
I've already beaten this game on PC, and I believe a physical controller would be the best input device for such game. It would be a shame if it didn't support.
(yes, I know, there is a demo available)
