After 4 months of on and off work, I finally completed and released my small game Spider Pit! Any feedback is welcome, I'll do my best to improve! Thank you!
You can find it on Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyeseepixels.com.unity.template.mobile2D
After several years of in and out game development and several failed projects and prototypes, I've finally finished a game and I'm very happy about it. I would really appreciate it if you could download the game and maybe leave a rating or review :)
You can download it on Google Play Store
Currently only the first world is completed (every world is represented by one color), but if you want to test the game now, you can download it from this links! Thanks for playing :)
I showed the first version of my game in Feb when it was called Are You Roady?, a remake of a Flash game called You Are the Road. It was more a time killer than a game at that point and all the feedback confirmed that. It also confirmed that players really liked the idea.
I tried quite a few concepts before finding something that I think works as a game. The main difficulty was to make “being the road” challenging. With the unique camera angle it took me a while to find the idea (you need to pick resources that force you to turn and risk losing the cars) and the right implementation.
Hey All!
Today I found my game featured on the App Store in "Incredible indie" in Australia and New Zeeland.
I would like to share my small achievement with Reddit community and say thanks to everyone who helped me with ideas, suggestions and other things while creating the game.
I started making games last summer and have released 3 games so far (1 game is Android only and 2 games IOS + Android).
Zombie Puzzle is my third game and took 5 months to create.
Before releasing the first two games I filled out all possible forms to be featured on Google Play and App Store but it never worked for me.
For the Zombie Puzzle game I didn't do anything in terms of requests to be featured.
On May 17 I got an email from Apple:
"Your app, Zombie Puzzle: Save the Chicks, may be featured on the App Store"
They asked to provide some artworks and pointed that there is no guarantee that my game will be featured on App Store. I've provided all needed assets and after a week of waiting I noticed an unexpected activity from users from Australia and New Zealand. After changing the store I was glad to see my game in "Incredible indie" on the main Games tab!
Btw here is a link to the game:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/zombie-puzzle-save-the-chicks/id1562323515
And android version can be found here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playrea.zombie.puzzle
In a few days I will have detailed statistics in the console and can share the results if you are interested.
Please share your experience after your games got featured in the Stores. What boost did you get in downloads?
I really like the tower stacking mechanic but most of the mobile tower stacking games I found seemed a little low effort so I made my own! Dave is stranded and you have to build a tower to help him reach his ship
Thanks!
i dont get it, you say inspired by duet, but is it not the same game? to me as a consumer, it looks exactly the same. i don't see why i'd play it over duet https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kumobius.android.duet
Hi guys! I just released my first game, it's a third person shooter. You have to survive enemies waves. Here is the link to Google Play if you want to give it a play. It's totally free :D
This game took me 3 years to develop on my spare time while learning to code and 3d design,
i got pretty attached to it and i want to think it can do better, here are the links
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.CausticFun.RelicsUnderSiege
IOS: https://apps.apple.com/bo/app/relics-under-siege-td/id1510409465?l=en
Should i improve it, make a simpler/more-casual version or just start a new project?
i'll really appreciate the feedback.
If anyone want to tried out, please give us your feedback:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.parrudogamestudio.timebreach
For anyone interested here’s Google Play Link and App Store Link . Have fun and tell me what you think about the game.
Thank you for your feedback! I'll try with other types of fonts or tweak this one to be bigger and bolder like some people are suggesting.
Btw, the game is called Leap: A Dragon's Adventure and you can pre-register for free on Google Play and App Store.
I made the camera on the right go up the closer the player is to the next platform, would love to hear more feedback that could improve the depth perception of my game!

Hello r/playmygame !
Some months ago I posted a video to a game that I have been working on as a hobby. 6 months later, the project is evolving (quite slowly).
I'm glad to let you know that our game ISOMOVERSE is in public beta with many features, like leaderboards per level and cloud saving (as long as more levels and debugging on the way !)
The goal of the game is to place the planets in positions such that they are at a good distance from linked planets (a red link means the planets are too close, and a blue line means they're too far away). The game is entirely developed with Unity/ARCore.
The game is in AR and trackless, meaning that you can play it wherever you want, without having to put an anchor in the world (like playing outside, etc). The choice of AR in this game is to let the user play with 3D geometry, some puzzles are just impossible to do in 2D !
I would be glad if you tried it out in Google Play.
Please, ask any question about how the game works, or any other question anyway :P
Whatever, play my game ! :-)
Hello everyone! We have release our free logic game.
Memorize the location of the colors over time. Open the right color in the right place. Complete 72 levels in two game modes.
- Google play: Memorize Colors
Enjoy the game to everyone :)
Yellow!
After quite some time we're ready to share our cute little game hoping it can help you have a good time and make you smile a bit! It's currently free on Android with optional in app purchase if you wish to support us!
We plan to add more content in the future as well as localise the game in various languange!
For now you can try it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=games.tinycloud.tinyshop
Any feedback will be hugely appreciated!
Thank you very much for your time! May you have a nice day!

Hello everyone, This is first puzzle game made by me. If you can spare your time and check it out, it would be nice.
Thanks for your time.
Hey everyone,
So, I quit my job some time ago and decided to learn Unity and make my own mobile game. So here we go: The 8 is a math puzzle where you have limited time to pick the option that will turn the given number into 8. Answer fast and without mistakes to earn more score, and the questions are endless and get more difficult over time.
iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/the-8-number-puzzle/id1532866553
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ibgames.The8
I'd appreciate your feedback! If you encounter any errors, also please do let me know, I tried my best to check everything, but it's my first game, so maybe something slipped through.
We made this game based on his knowledge of Rome. You're the Head of an important roman family, and you get to choose your own destiny based on the events that you get. Get it on playstore We would like to know what you think of it. Thank you all!
Nice job, I admittedly took a lot longer for my stuff because I was learning how to program in the meantime haha. Here's a link to my first app link I spent around 6 months on and off making it. It was a clone of a lesser known game released for PSP Homebrew a long time ago.
Hi! Sorry for the late reply, you can follow @raxterworks (or me @raxterbaxter) on twitter or like https://www.facebook.com/raxterworks on facebook
I can't work on this project full time so updates are intermittent. But if anything happens I post to those three places.
I like the idea of chapters! I'm also thinking of something like the Manufactoria (http://www.kongregate.com/games/pleasingfungus/manufactoria) level progression whereby you had a choice of 5 or so tutorial levels and you have to finish those to unlock later levels that use then concepts you learn.
I like the story of building something large up over time and you are doing it in parts, really think it's a theme that'll match the mechanics well!
Haha, this is amazing! I just added a fanart section on the itch community, would you like to share it there too or could I post there and attribute you?
You just made my day a whole lot better, thank you! :)
I would love to get some feedback on my turn based strategy game, Vengeance Trail: Tactics. It's kind of a mix between Final Fantasy: Tactics, FTL with a Minecraft-like aesthetic. I made a post about it in this sub a while ago:
http://www.reddit.com/r/playmygame/comments/21cmyc/alpha_my_two_year_passion_project_is_finally_in/
Here is the link to play the newest version, which adds a lot to the one mentioned in that post:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzzCmWpMBFSHcExhdE5XUk1NUTQ/edit?usp=sharing
To play it, just extract the .rar and run the .exe.
This is an awesome idea by the way, I hope your channel takes off! I've already subbed!
I just want to say that you are the man, thank you so much for taking the time to give feedback it really means a lot.
As for the jumping, I know. It has been on the list of things to do from the beginning. I have had many people tell me the jumping "feels wrong" and they are right. I am working on fixing that as we speak.
I also agree that some of the animations need work. Some of them are the same animations from the start of development, and we have improved our skills so we will improve the animations.
As for the controls, Z and X are currently the special attacks, but what if I made C the alternative to click? Currently the return key is the alternative to click but that doesn't work if you want to play with the arrow keys.
I would love to give feedback on your game, I believe in give and take as well :P http://www.indiedb.com/games/the-legend-of-the-artifact-remastered/downloads is that your game?
Thanks again for the feedback, you are awesome :D
EDIT: I am currently on Linux and the Linux version downloads the Mac version. Then I tried the Windows version to try and use wine and it crashed :P Can you help me out here?
Thanks for the feedback! You can follow the progress on the Unity forums: http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/android-free-ninja-throne-wars.389391/ I will be posting in that thread as I update the game.
I also have this trello board, where you can see what i'm currently working on: https://trello.com/b/V3C0VGsY/ninja
I'm posting here as we're looking out for people to playtest our game. A quick bit of information - Insilentium is a mobile CCG - though we will add in trading (so it will become a TCG in the future).
The game is for both iOS and Android and currently has the deck builder, cards, and matches working fine (pve/campaign will come later - we are still in development afterall). What we're looking for from the testers is to know what they think of our core mechanics especially as we're adding a few 'less than typical' features (such as hand being shuffled at the end of every turn, defeated cards are sent to your deck so you don't loose by running out of cards, and ofcourse the 3x3 playing field - forcing you to fight for control of the middle row).
If you are interested in helping us test the game and giving us your feedback, do just let us know here or join our discord server and we'll happily hook you up.
Join the Insilentium Discord Server! https://discord.com/invite/qpjRzHMe9K
I believe this game would work a lot better with tilt controll instead of on screen buttons.
Tried it on 2 devices: on my S3 it runs, in an Alcatel Ontouch ??? it doesn't, but it should. Had same problem with an Unity project, its a bug with versions 4.6 and 4.6.1. After updating Unity to (at least) 4.6.1p2 it worked. You should update your Unity and rebuild the game before you start to get negative reviews from users who can't run it.
Thanks for the comment and useful feedback TheMoonIsFurious. I agree that the gameplay needs a few more mechanics to keep the player engaged for the whole game. I also like your idea of speeding up time at a higher risk to the player, and adding more control to the player.
Before Sonar Strike I attempted a platformer where you play as the bushranger Ned Kelly in the art style of Sidney Nolan, using his head like a boomerang. I spent a about a month on this before I realised the mechanic wasn't reliable enough to use, and the project was way beyond my abilities and time.
The thing about Sonar Strike I'm most proud of is coming up with a simple game idea that I could complete within a few months with the limited skills I have.
I would definitely love to come back to Sonar Strike. Having learnt a lot since starting the project, I would probably go back and redesign a lot of the system so that it is easier to add and remove gameplay features and different game modes etc.
Next I'm thinking of working on a puzzle game, but I also entered the IndiesVsGamers Game jam recently and made Stray Cat Survival http://gamejolt.com/games/stray-cat-survival/80678
What helped me get through making my first game was releasing a prototype early and getting feedback and encouragement at the very early stage. Also I would take a few days off from making the game every now and then and whenever I came back I had a new energy and passion for getting it finished and appreciating the hard work I had put in previously.
Thanks for the questions, new friend!
Our game Ghostory, a pixelart adventure based on solving hard puzzles finally came out on Steam after over 2 years. Check out our launch trailer! :)
Hey, thanks for playing. I programmed the backend in node.js; the frontend is HTML5 and Pixi.js. I mostly used Adobe Animate CC to create graphics.
Thanks for the art-related suggestions; I'm not a great artist so it's very helpful.
The floating red balls are supposed to be "Oni" - Japanese demons
Do you think the enemy doesn't look close enough to those images?
Had to stop myself from killing all the DOM elements on this page so I could reply! Fun stuff.
Here's a dumb idea: remember Firefox's 3D DOM view? https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/3D_View It would be cool (and probably way more work than it's worth) if you could turn any Reddit thread into a 3D capture-the-flag arena. The map would transform as people comment, upvote, and downvote, and thus the location of the teams' home bases might change as well (not sure what the mechanics of that would be).
Anywho, feel free to disregard the dorky ramblings of a webdev only half a coffee into his Saturday morning ;) Congrats on launching!
I know there are a bunch of clones already out there hehe. But I made it just to see if I could nothing else :D If anyone wants to try it out then here's the game: Squid Game
What's up, fellas?
Happy to represent the game I'm a dev team member of that might be interested in many of you here :)

We're planning to use ad revenue to help support the project. Once we release, players will enable Hints/Smart Racks by watching an ad or being an Addagrams subscriber.
Oo! Thanks for letting us know. If you got it from the website you're playing the right one. Turned out the package name is case sensitive so we had to move to all lowercase: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nosenfield.addagrams
Bingo! You nailed it.

Hey guys! I just launched a new puzzle game and would love your feedback.
As an owl, you move through the level to find your way home while avoiding the enemies. You can always deduce where the enemies are so no guessing is involved. There's also power ups like a torch and armor to help you out.

Time zones. I added this post a late night, so now we have morning :D
Sweet! I will write this to the idea list. I have "space" in the game for feedback features. I wanted to create different rockets, more powerups (but it would take more time) .. so, I waiting for players inputs like yours.. this release is now as MVP :)
.. for example, my other game Trump Space Invaders had the same beginning. After feedbacks, there is a wall, other spaceships, NKL, atom bomb etc.. :D
Hi guys!
I love the doge meme. So, after the latest situations with dogecoin, I started creating the game Doge Moon Launch and it is just live at Google Play and App Store.
With this game, you can make your own prediction of the value, that dogecoin will reach.
How to play:
Doge makes his own rules. You can fly on the chart to right and also to the left!
-Touch the right side of the screen to go right with the doge and his rocket.
-Touch the left side of the screen to go left with the doge and his rocket.
Rocket also needs fuel from dogecoins. You must try to find and collect dogecoins to hit the best value.

I decided to create this game to be "very crypto" .. chart, whales, highs and lows .. even the dogefather!
My intention was to connect this game to the doge crypto community and bring more fun with good doge.
So please enjoy, have fun, be good, and if you have dogecoins Hodl!
Many thanks
Feedback from Galaxy S10, Android 11:
The core idea is interesting, but the button hitboxes absolutely needs fixing. Once that's fixed, I could see the core gameplay being fun.
Ideally there'd also be some kind of progression, whether that is leaderboards, XP and levels, unlocking new themes, etc.
Check out Wordiest for my favourite "optional multiplayer" implementation ever.
It is a 2D game that i worked really hard on, i posted several times for feedback in this subreddit and i received a lot of love everytime, i hope i can receive the same love again. thanks everyone. Please check it out, it would mean a lot to me and make my ,day ,week month and everything. Thanks

Piece together clues from their messages, photos, social media and more. Get your police team to help investigate evidence. And bring in suspects to interrogate. There are 6 episodes in Season 1.

AznHC's Revenge is a 3D adventure/escape game. As an escape game lover, I found 2D mobile escape game not much interactive. Basically spam the screen everywhere to find items/hints. I wanted to bring something more interactive, make the investigation more interesting, that is why I tried to develop a 3D escape game.
I also found that most of 2D escape games was just about puzzles without any back story. Here again I wanted to add a plot to the game (it is really a selfish game, I just wanted to make a game that I would have liked to play to).
For the story, I will let you try the game by yourself :).
I disabled the UI for this video as it looks better, so I'll explain some of the stuff about the game. The point of the game is to go fly into the little portal thingies and the green rotating cubes are coins which you can collect to buy cosmetics in the shop. The trippy effects are a new feature which I added to reward progression and they can be turned on or off.
I have been continuously working on my passion project, trying to enhance it as much as possible based on feedback and opinions I get from you guys, I've put lots of hours on this, I hope you will have some fun. It's now available on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.AfterglowGames.IntoAbyss
I’ve update my simple Math Game and added a Free game mode and 2 unlockable game modes.

Hi Guys! My game previously had all the in app purchases and stuff but I decided to just make the whole thing free because the original one (just called "Drifter") I played for TI89 was also free! Literally all content is free you just have to level up by racing.
This game is based on the original game for TI89 made by Eric Burgess. I just modernized it onto android and added more mechanics in the modern mode. The game is in portrait mode so the track is cut off in the gif. There are multiple modes and speeds, the gif shows the fastest speed setting. Hope you enjoy!

Just to help you out - wanted to link your game so that people could find it easily. Unfortunately i do not have an android device anymore otherwise I'd give it a shot.
Congrats on finishing a game!
I think your game has a great concept. The minimalistic style and the ability to switch between dark and light modes are what I find very interesting. This is a fun game.
Some things that can be improved:

I thought it was similar at first but after playing it, I realized it is pretty much a ripoff of my game. The core gameplay as well as the graphics.
The gem graphic is straight up lifted from my game.
More things that are similar:
the 2D lighting coming from the left top
the end of game screen with the encouraging messages
the dissolve effect when the player dies
moving triangle and rectangle obstacles
color theme unlocking (even the unlock price is the same)
the jumping particle
the jumping spin (it's just reversed)
the jumping sound is exactly the same
the pickup sound is exactly the same
the scoring mechanic
And of course, his "turn off ads" purchase is double the price of mine.
Hi ev1lch1nch1lla. Hope you will still get round to covering 9 Letter Jumble (?), but I'd like to also request a review of my friend's game. I think it's right up your alley. :) We're in a support group for solo indie devs. I've told him about your channel, but not sure he's contacted you yet...

I had to Google the name just to get a link since I'm on desktop, it tried redirecting me through fb etc.. Just use simple links in the future.

This game is good, I really love it 9999/9999 lol. The art style, the UI, the sounds (except when the wizard is firing, there are no sound effects) are so perfect. What did you use to make this game? How do you make your sprites and sounds, what do you use? I really want to learn more about developing games. Thanks
Here is my first game, feel free to try it, I would love to hear a feedback from a good developer like you, thank you so much.

I am not into this kind of games, because playing this kind of game with friends can be chaotic hahaha. Anyways, in terms of the functionality and design of the app it's perfect. The UI and the art style is so clean and neat. The randomization of categories and letters is good. What did you use to make this game?
I've also just published my first game, fee free to try it and give your honest feedback, thanks :)

Hi!
As mentioned by /u/electrithm, the controls are what also made me quit the game.
Since it is a platformer, everything is about the controls, so the controls needs to be super tight and polished.
I would recommend to download and play through the best selling and most downloaded platformers on the Play Store and try them out, copy the controls and then continue from there.
I definitely think that you should have the controls as other platformers on mobile, with left and right buttons on one side and jump on the other side.
The movement is also very floaty and requires very precise input, which is very hard to perform with the controls that you have now.
There are games that do platforms controls in different ways as well, take a look at this game:
They make you jump by touching both sides of the screen instead.
Also, add music!
But anyway, great job on your first game, and I wish you the best of luck!
I love this game, it feels like a retro kind of arcade fighting game because of it's sound fx and art style. The art style and animation is so good. I like the SFX especially the announcer, but the in-game BGM is kinda off, it doesn't have the action feel that suits the game (well that's just my opinion). I'll play it until I reach all the free levels, I'm still having a hard time beating the kite :) Very nice game, full version with 10 levels and co-op mode is definitely worth the price.
I've also finished and published my first game, it's not as fancy and good as yours though. But It would mean so much to me if you could give it a try and give your honest feedback.

Very nice and smooth game there. Still need improvement though. - Change your UI, there are too much text in it. - I love the music and sounds, I can really feel the rush. - Add a restart button in the gamescreen, instead of going back to main menu and load it up again. - I love that there are unlockables, it keeps the players going. - Improve spawning, caues I've experienced couple games where it took so long for the coins to spawn. Overall very fun game, just improve the UI and add more features or game modes.
I've also made a game, and it is my very first game. I would really appreciate it if you give it a try and give your honest feedback, thanks.

Nice game, but my phone can't handle it, it so laggy. - Make it more darker/dimmer so it would be more creepy. - Add laughing clown sound effects, hahaha lol. - Remove the 1 hit from clowns, add damage so there will be a chasing factor and it could give more suspense to it. Very nice game inspired by IT and clowns lol :D Feel free to try my game, it's not as good as yours though. I would appreciate any feedback, thanks

Very nice platformer game. I'll be waiting for it's full realease, hopefully all levels are free lol :D
PRO - Nice art, very retro and cool. 10/10 - Very good and balance level design - Sound effects and music suits the game. CONS: - Text are too small (the dialogue one) - Animation stops on first part of the game
I'm just curious, where or how do you do your sprites/ arts? and also the sounds and music?
I'm new to game development and I'm not much of an artist, but I really want to learn what people use when making their art for their game. It would really help me a lot if an experienced game developer like you would rate and give honest feedback to my game. It's okay to be harsh as long as you're being honest with your feedback, I really want to learn more.

This is a very nice game for your first game. Don't be nervous on promoting your game, you've worked so hard on it, just spread and share your game, don't be anxious on what would people say. Anyways, your game is good but too easy, maybe speed it up a little bit or add some other features that could make it more challenging. The text inside the game over menu/interface is hard to see, because it's too dim. The sound and graphics is nice. Overall, this is a good game, add more features to it, keep it up.
I am also new to game development and published my first game, it's not as good as yours though, cause mine looks awful because I'm not good at arts lol :). Feel free to try it and give your honest feedback. Thank you very much.

Very nice puzzle game. I can say that this game was really well developed. The graphics/art style is very simple and good, even though it's very colorful, it's not irritating in the eye. Having 50 levels on it's first release, that is dedication. My only concern was the UI buttons on the menu screen, it's too large, or maybe it's just me. Other than that very nice game, I'll be waiting for more levels.
I've just finished my first game, I would really appreciate it if you give it a try and give your honest feedback.

Hey there, we're aspiring developers who just launched our own game and will be looking for feedback just the same.
Firstly, fantastic look to the game, i think the artwork is really spot on.
Instructions are clear, and it was quite fun to play. Once you get the hang of it though it becomes too easy. I have the 15K score, there was no pressure to keep going as the "energy" bar was't rolling back quick enough. I ended the gameon my own terms.
Apart from that I think you've done a fantastic job.

Hi nomadthoughts,
A few friends and I just released a game not to long ago on Android and iOS called Don't Pop! Dungeon. It's a 2d sidescroller where you have to fly/float through endless sets of randomized dungeons, while fighting enemies and bosses. We would love some feedback if you could play it. It will run best on a newer device though with our newest update. We added a lot of stuff.
