Duet. One of those games that makes you look like a wizard to other people when playing it, and also feels really cool when you pull things off. It's also really beautifully designed with a great soundtrack.
i dont get it, you say inspired by duet, but is it not the same game? to me as a consumer, it looks exactly the same. i don't see why i'd play it over duet [link]
Can someone point me to resource on how can I get about building my first Arcade game?
I've been playing this amazing game called Duet since last night and I feel like f**king making a game myself.
Some background: I'm a CS grad and been emitting code mostly in Java for the last 4 years.
Duet! (or Android)
My cousin Tim did the sound track and it's beautiful.
Duet - Not sure if it's well known but somebody mentioned it on a thread a while back. Pretty difficult to get your head around but when you do it awesome.
For me, I find 'Duet' far more stressful than any game I've ever played on any platform, which given its simplicity is a little odd. I can't stop playing it though, dammit!
Link is here (can't remember how to format links on mobile) [link]
they did that with headphones as well iirc.
Try this game
would be intresting to see if this was an isolated incident. i had about 0.5 to 0.7 input delay when playing
I know it was released in 2013 but I only discovered it a few months ago. I finally got all the achievements this week. I honestly believe that this is the best game on Android. The free version is pretty ad infested but removing the ads is a pretty reasonably priced IAP.
Do yourself a favour and give it a go.
A little late to the party, but DUET. It's a super-polished little action puzzle game with fantastic voicework and music. Lots of levels, well-designed to introduce you to each new concept piecemeal, and daily challenges. Drop a couple bucks and unlock all the extra DLC. Worth every penny.
Duet. It's a game where you have two dots that circle each other and you have to maneuver them through an obstacle course. It starts of pretty simple but gets extremely hard towards the end. Also it apparently looks quite impressive when you play it. I got multiple comments from people watching me playing it and wondering how it's even possible. :P
The first set of levels is free, including (I think) changing daily levels and time/speed/perfection runs. A one time IAP unlocks 2 completely new level types with a bunch of new levels each. After that everything is unlocked.
I don't think I have ever played an Android game as long as this one, it just never gets boring.
Duet is so fucking awesome. But it is pretty difficult. One More Line is also pretty cool.
Thanks for your input! Isn't the minimalistic art style an okay choice? For example, Duet is minimalistic but is very popular and got very good reviews. Also, I'm not sure what I would replace the ball with. It's pretty small, so most things would be tough to recognize.
Here's a link
Duet - The objective is to guide a pair of circles through obstacles rotating the circles clockwise or counter-clockwise only
gReader - I use this to keep up with my rss feeds. It can use different services like feedly. It's been around for ages since the Google reader and is a solid app.
HumanJapanese Lite - A nice app to learn japanese. It is a very well made app containing illustrations, voice and animation on how to write the hiragana character properly.Tapping on a word pronounces it.Also there is quiz after every chapter.
Moon+ Reader - One of the nicest ebook readers around.Has loads of features even in the free versions. It also supports many different formats like epub, mobi etc.It is also very customizable.
QuickPic - The best gallery replacement currently available. It is a boon on slow phone and has been around when the stock gallery was terrible and unusable.
Unified Remote - One of the most useful apps I use.It can pretty much control all the functions of your PC.Task Manager,Media Control,Volume,Wakeuponlan,Control slideshows,Mouse and Keyboard etc.The paid version is so worth it.
Not In Playstore
Transdroid - A torrent clent remote that uses the webui for controlling torrents on your machine. It supports many programs like utorrent, deluge, qbittortent etc.Even the ui is good.
#Animania - If you like anime this app is brilliant. You canwatch or download anime.Even the anime library is pretty large. The dev has other similar apps for mangas.
TinyTunes - Search and download songs. It can also stream and preview songs before downloading.
ViPER4Android FX [ROOT] - A advanced audio control app for your rooted phone. It has loads of features that can improve the audio quality by a lot.If you are rooted give this try.
These are also awesome, while you're at it:
Duet is a great game, you should take a look.

The game looks awful lot like Duet. Amazing time sink like you said :D [link]
pretty old, but very addictive and perfect for short bursts
I feel like this [link] game here needs more love. One of my favourites from year ago
In that case, here are a couple of other games to check out which are not hurt by simple, touch-based controls:
Framed (and Framed 2)
I Love Hue
Not sure if it's what you're looking for, but it reminds me of Duet.
I haven't played in a while, but I am a fan of Duet

Duet keeps me occupied lately.
Duet is pretty fun. [link]
If you are looking for simple casual games, DUET and OKAY are surprisingly good games.
Another one I have played a lot is ATOMAS, though it might get boring faster as it is basically a high score based game.
Feel free to check them out. Here are the links to those games.
DUET : [link]
P.S. - Though it's not "Android" specific game, MONUMENT VALLEY is a great game that can keep you going for a long time, although it's not free on the play store.
It has some extra levels that you have to pay for, but the main ones are free.
Duet by Kumobius.
Duet is really fun. You can turn the music and sound off and can play in portrait mode.
Probá el Duet. -link-
No acepto insultos hacia mi familia por la dificultad del juego.
Reminded me of this amazing game!
Looks fun but it's very similar to Duet.
A few of my random favourites:
One More Line
VS. Racing 2
Thomas Was Alone
This reminds me of Duet. Also a very simple game with simple concepts, but it gets tricky.
That Level Again
The Room Two
Non installare Duet se non vuoi spaccare il telefono dopo 15 minuti.
You can pay to unlock more levels but the free part is cool enough on its own to make it worth a try.
This looks so similar to Duet. The Play Store needs to change...
Duet and the previously mentioned Super Hexagon sound exactly like what you want.
I'd also argue for Smash Hit too, but it doesn't quite follow your want for a constantly 'hard' game. Very worth it though.
Duet - if you don't know it, check it out! It's awesome! It's probably my favourite mobile game ever.
It's like the background for Duet
found it thanks, it's a mobile game called Duet:
