Neuroshima Hex is a great tactical game with challenging AI. Plays well on mobile devices (ios for myself) and the digital implementation is faithful to the board game.

My go-to game for android has been Neuroshima Hex!

It's fast paced and matches don't last long but it is also very random and has no online multiplayer so it is definitely not everyone's cup of tea.

This might be out of left field, but if you're into board games I'd take a look at Neuroshima Hex.
