The app you created has pretty much been done here by this guy. It shows the tweets from irish rail and also shows the delays well.
But you app definitely has potential. If you made the Map interactive it would definitely be unique. For example if you could click on the station on the map and see the current trains.
The "Next Train Ireland" app works pretty well for me. It does a nice colour coding of orange when it is a few minutes late and red if it is over 10 minutes late.
