Hey all, after months of really hard design and engineering work, we've finally updated our app for Material Design! Would love to hear what you think, and any feedback is welcome. By the way, this is an ongoing project and we've only started to put in the animations. Feedback on that front is also welcome.
Here is the design page: https://www.behance.net/gallery/24942269/Photo-Editor-by-Aviary-(Android-Material-Design)
And here is a link to the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aviary.android.feather&hl=en
Stock Android is all about being a really clean and simple canvas for running apps. It doesn't aim to implement every feature that can easily be handled by your choice of third party apps.
It's a different strategy than that of most OEMs who cram in everything until the device is a laggy mess.

This is a great app for what you're wanting to do.
You might want to say what features of skitch you actually want. I uninstalled skitch once Aviary added the stickers with arrows, pointers, circles etc. you can draw and add text with aviary too. Killer image editting app.
How does it compare to Aviary (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aviary.android.feather) ?
I really like that app, super simple to use and incredible feature rich. You can even download more filters/borders/stickers/patterns...
Aviary - picture editing, some prefer picsart, but this app gets the job done quicker, less complicated
CCleaner - cleans cache and stuff off phone, recommended alongside wiping all cache through recovery, i use this app when i dont have the time
Transit app - uses your location and tells what bus stops are near and how long itll take each bus to reach your location, i use this in nyc, veryyy useful
Spotify - music app, wouldnt be useful if i didnt have the premium, i take the subway so offline listening is amazing
anddd Reddit is fun
I use those:
Aviary is pretty good imo.

Is this a copy cat of Aviary?? Looks a loooot similar.
If you summon Assistant (hold Home), you can swipe up and hit "Share Screenshot." It takes a screen without the status or navigation bars, and lets you immediately share. It doesn't provide an easy way to edit the screen before you share it, however, so here's my suggestion:
-Install Aviary, a fantastic and lightweight image editor.
-Using the method I gave above, share the screenshot to Aviary.
-Edit your screenshot, hit Done, and you can immediately share wherever you want!
EDIT: Here's a quick video showing you how it's done: https://youtu.be/ZaW5iw_Hzd4
Now, there are *some apps which create a button in the notification tray to take a screenshot, immediately edit, and then share. The downside is that they might slow down your device since they have to constantly run in the background. (They also tend to be super-duper ugly haha.) If you **really* want your G3 method, however, here are a few well-reviewed apps which are still getting regular updates:

Check out Aviary. Very functional, plenty of features. 50M downloads

I think I remember doing that with this app. Not sure if it's everything you'll need, but it's a place to start I guess
For cropping screenshots there's many apps that'll do this, and I simply took a screenshot here, clicked the Share menu and opened/cropped it with Aviary.
