No problem. It's a little awkward seeing everybody claim the thing is full of must-have IAP when it's very obviously not. (Preparing for more downvotes for saying that, though. :P)
I know the inclusion of a store (or a leaderboard I didn't even realize was there) is a knee-jerk revulsion reaction from some, but there are plenty of incrementals known for being generous with premium currency and totally F2P in practice (games like Endless Frontier come to mind, which is one of those that most people like) and I don't think this game is getting its fair shot at proving itself.
For example, I just spent 750 gems (all gained without store purchases) to unlock one of the characters I liked, and was pleasantly surprised to find it's just cosmetic. I'm not even disappointed it came with no mechanical boost, because the art is nice and I didn't need those gems to do anything else with, plus the fact that it's only cosmetics that were put behind the character gem wall at all is nice. Up to Phase 10? 11? or so now, and still not feeling slow or walled off.
I think a lot of the negative reaction is people not expecting what it is - a casual clicker with cute art and fun things. There isn't really a hugely in depth mechanical unlocking system with layers like ITRTG but... that's not necessarily a bad thing. Not all games need that. It's fun to see the potion art update with each stage--the mechanics admittedly don't change much from Phase 1 to Phase 10, but the nice art IS the unlockable here.
Though yeah, I have noticed the tastes of the commenters in this sub (generally speaking) don't lend itself to that sort of thing (by which I mean cute, casual, discovery, art, etc.).
Edit: If anything, this reminds me of Potion Maker more than Cookie Clicker. The aim is discovery/progression to get new cute art, not NUMBERS GO BIG.
It was a nice distraction for an hour or 2 but got boring fast because all you do is tap endlessly and the english was pretty broken.
It is an adorable little game. Really simple and easy. Basically something to do while you wait in line or something. The graphics are 11/10 and way better than the screencaps lead you to believe. It was the first game to take advantage of Live2D

Not sure if you're interested in mobile at all... but Potion Maker and Merchant were similar to what you're describing. Not really incrementals in the purest sense of the word... but they to gradually ... uhm... "increment."
You're a shopkeeper in both. In PM you do quests and make/sell potions. In Merchant, you craft better and better gear to sell, hire classes to get materials for you, gear them up, etc.

Reminds me of potion maker, only in 3d.
