Get the app RTA Smart drive. It's an offline GPS enabled navigation application for your android \ IoS devices . It has the map for all the emirates.

A good friend of mine recommend the app & I no longer get lost in JBR\JLT\JVC\Or whatever starts with J .

Google Maps like every has said, it has very good voice commands so there is no need to look at your phone.

I'm not sure how well Google Maps works with its offline maps but RTA have an official app with full offline mode
