Someone recommended Snaplock last week and I love it. The music widget on the lockscreen alone is fantastic. It features the album art in a circle that rotates, making it look like a vinyl record.
For people with older phones who prefer a better lockscreen with similar features to Lollipop:
I have a Galaxy S3 and tried a bit with some lollipop roms but they are not really fast and smooth. So I downgraded to a Touchwiz 4.3 rom called Revolution S5 or something. Only thing about Touchwiz is that I hate the lockscreen and this app fixes it for me. I tried other Lockscreen apps, I even own the paid version of Widgetlocker but none of them really compare.
Sadly, even this 4.3 laggs horribly when some applications are open. Chrome is a pain to use. If anyone has any rom suggestions for my i9300 Galaxy s3 I'll try them out :D Tried Blisspop 5.1 btw for lollipop before, not very smooth aswell.
You can try and use Snaplock as a lockscreen alternative if LG allows you to disable their default lockscreen altogether. I use it daily and its especially great at handling notifications.
I don't use a passcode so I didn't think of that.
I tried two other apps that were in this thread this week, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wandoujia.roshan&hl=en and https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.next&hl=en
I prefer them over AcDisplay.
Snaplock: The most prettiest and useful lock screen that I found. You can select the time of clock (theres about 10, 12 options), you can drag the clock in different positions. The music player is nice (the album cover keeps spinning like a LP, it's a nice touch), you have some options if you swap to the right (wifi, launch some apps). It's the best lock screen, for me.
Gravity screen: using your proximity sensor to wake the screen. Remember to leave all options off, except "Turn screen OFF by proximity" and "Turn Screen ON by proximity". I have the pocket sensor in 40º. It uses about 0,40% prom my battery everyday with these settings.
Nova Launcher: best launcher.
HeadsOff: remove the heads up notification from Lollipop and uses the ticker status bar notification. But whatsapp is a bitch and it wont work with this app, still shows the heads up notification. The others app are fine.
Today I'm trying Snaplock to replace my stock losckscreen, it's great so far
Oh I forgot I used snaplock but the font I use is the HTC sword art online font.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wandoujia.roshan&hl=en It's a lot like the android lockscreen layout with its extra features
Thank you! I used Snaplock for that
I use Snaplock https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wandoujia.roshan But it doesn't have a whole lot of customization options :\
Check out Snaplock.
Use another lock screen. LG fails hard at every aspect of android. I liked SnapLock when I had my G3.
