And I'm just saying all you're missing is the app, unless nobody is doing PayPass terminals.
If you start buying phones without NFC in them, then you're missing the app and the hardware.
EDIT: TD Bank provides Tap and Pay for Canadians if you have their credit cards.
EDIT2: Hooray! Tim Hortons, your national food service and US invasion force also uses Tap and Pay in their app.

Well, provided the user absolutely does not do any mobile banking. Otherwise mobile banking malware is able to capture both.
Also using SMS limits things to pretty much login-time only. With better protocols you could require a tap on every transfer.
In general I agree though. For PC banking it's better than nothing. There's just so much more they could do.
Funny how people mention this app, and it's just been redesigned and updated today: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.td
I used to use this app, and would mark it as the worst app I used daily. Then again, I stress 'used to'. It was so bad I had to uninstall it. Perhaps this new version is an improvement?
TD has an app (not ugo shit). works well (and have been for the past year) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.td
