Kui juba sõiduplaneerijate teemale läks, siis ise kasutan enamasti Trafit, Google Maps ka tänaseks väga hästi Tallinna ühistranspordiga ühilduv
Trafi is an incredible app for all types of public transportation in Istanbul. Just type in where you wanna go and when, and it gives you several alternatives, indicating which one is cheaper, which one is faster, which one involves fewer transfers etc.
BiTaksi is good if you don't wanna deal with scammy taxis or carrying cash.
If you need to ask somebody, it's better to ask younger people. If you speak Russian, then it's older people.
If you want to use public transport, I recommend to use app called Trafi. It's available in English, and it will save you time. Just type in streets names, and it gives all the info you need. Even taxi phone numbers, and prices. By the way www.marsrutai.lt serves the same thing.
Beer is cheap. From 1.5€ euros at bars in the center of Vilnius. Similar beer everywhere. Alynas (adress: Jogailos gatvė 6) is a great place (more just a quiet place to have a beer). They even serve home made mead, you should try it out. A must beer is Varniukų dark. It's very popular, but oy found at bars :(
Trafi helps you navigate with public transport.
Here Maps offers voice navigation in Turkey, if you will drive. It also allows you to download maps, and use the app offline, without using data.
Ferry and bosphorus tour tickets are available at the quays. They almost never run out of tickets (especially if it's not a Sunday).
6) Download https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.trafi.android.tr for public transportation, students get 50% discount on all tickets. Order your Lithuanian student card when u arrive here. Your Uni can help with that.
Ir tāda lietotne Trafi, parāda visas pieejamās opcijas kā ar sabiedrisko tikt no vietas x līdz y. Var arī dot piekļuvi savai atrašanās vietā un tad tikai jānorāda kur gribi tikt.

m.Ticket works only for lithuanian phone numbers. Try Trafi https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.trafi.android.tr&hl=lt&gl=US
I stayed here last year. The neighborhood is pretty safe, no scary robberies or suspicious person at night. Don't go out that much so I never really know which place are unsafe (my office is 5 minutes walking and groceries are 15 minutes walking). Bear in mind half of the main road accross the area, TB Simatupang, are being closed for MRT construction, so the traffic can be maddening.
Jakarta have the equivalent of EasyCard, the biggest two are BCA Flazz and Mandiri e-Money. Trafi is great for navigating the public transit. Uber is available, there's also Grab and Gojek with similar services.
Try trafi if u use android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.trafi.android.tr
Trafi is your friend in Istanbul.
