I use Plex for movies/music/pictures. Basically, all my media sits on my computer, and I use the Plex app to access all my files over wifi.

Also, you should look into a Chromecast for your TV. You can stream Netflix/YouTube/Plex to it, and control it from whatever device you're using.

If you still want to connect your computer to it, you could use Wifi Mouse to control your computer with.

I had tried a couple but the one I ended up playing with was the free version of 'Wifi Mouse'. It requires you to install the server on the PC you're targeting though FYI.

There's probably a better version of a remote trackpad out there for all I know though.

I'm looking for a reliable app that can be used to control a Linux computer remotely (not ssh, something that can move the mouse pointer).

I tried Wifi Mouse ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.necta.wifimousefree ) but its not terribly reliable. It connects ok initially, but after a while stops working unless I restart the daemon on the Linux computer.

It is very good remote control APP which could works as wireless mouse, keyboard and trackpad for PC/Mac.
