I used to use World Scribe
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.averi.worldscribe
It's fairly decent, especially if you want to do things away from an internet connection.
Personally, I'd recommend World Anvil if you don't mind about having it all stored online instead of locally. There's no app at this point but the website works fine (for the most part, there are a few layout issues) on mobile.
There's also this which was posted on here quite recently. Looks like a great organisation tool (credit to the dev), but is on android only.
I use the crap out of World Scribe, developed by /u/MarquisDeBlade. It's super-easy to use, looks clean, and is pretty great for quick, on-the-go entries that can be linked. Pretty sure it's Android-only, though I could be wrong about that.
World Scribe is a decent tool. It's similar to World Anvil, though much more basic and fully offline (though Google Drive backups are available).
There's not much in the way of cartography software on Android, you may be better off using a desktop computer for it.
Very similar to World Anvil: https://www.notebook.ai/
It doesn't have all the same features, but the core is the same.
**Oh, just remembered this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.averi.worldscribe&hl=en World Scribe is an Android app in a similar vein.
World Scribe is a free android app that lets you write notes about your world and organize them into different categories. You can't make a map on it and there isn't a forum, but its a program I highly recommend and can be used to easily organize basic concepts, places, people, etc in your world.
Create a custom form you can fill information about that can be used over and over again about object, place, other that can be linked to other elements and searched. For example, build a form called "character" and put things like Name, AGE, Gender, RACE, Species, History, Location, Blood type..etc. Then I can fill information about characters of the world. Then I could create another form called LOCATION with information about place size, popluation density, any buildines, weather, ..etc, Then link the forms together so I can look up and see what characters are in what locations..etc
A PC version of world scribe would be fantastic. Have it sync with good drive to share anywhere.
My personal favourite is WorldAnvil, assuming you don't mind other people seeing your world, it's pretty good. It's got plenty of templates to keep you going and an interactive map system as well as the article linking you mentioned. There are a few features that aren't included in the free accounts such as custom CSS style sheets, private worlds and Patreon integration but the basic service has plenty enough to keep you going.
If you have an android device I might suggest World Scribe. It's free and completely offline. It's a little limited but is useful for keeping notes.
I've also heard some decent things about Miraheze, it's free and open source and is styled after Wikipedia. I haven't used it myself, but it looks pretty good.
World Scribe maybe? (Also available on F-Droid here)
Something like a good wiki program and world scribe android app fused together in a PC program.
Did you see this post about this android app that u/MarquisDeBlade made? It is basic, but pretty amazing. I am really hoping for a computer version to be released. I want the app and wikidpad to basically get together and have a baby.
Notion is a decent wiki type app for note taking. Worth checking the privacy info though if that kind of thing is important to you.
I think maps is a little harder on mobile due to the resources required. Neither Inkarnate or Wonderdraft have mobile options but perhaps other Redditors are aware of more options.
World Scribe (Android) is an app which allows you to complete World Anvil style templates for world building.
Writer's Companion (Android) is a similar world building app which also has functionality for authors to plan chapters etc.
Character Story Planner 2 (Android) - does what is says on the tin. Allows for the crafting of stories within worlds.
I don't have much knowledge of ios.
Hello, r/fantasywriters!
Myself and a few other talented individuals are currently working on the successor to the Android worldbuilding app, World Scribe. As the new app is still in the early planning phases, we thought it would be helpful to get input from other worldbuilders and writers on features and enhancements.
If you are a current or past user of World Scribe, you can fill out this Focus Survey: https://goo.gl/forms/3VAhRuAajgBKmXyY2
If you have never used World Scribe, but use other writing/worldbuilding software, you can fill out the General Survey: https://goo.gl/forms/UHOG6xY8ItBLQKBE3 . Current and past World Scribe users can fill it out as well, but if you do, make sure to talk about something other than World Scribe in the long-form answers in order to avoid repetition ;)
Thanks for your time, and I look forward to reading your responses!
Have you tried World Scribe?
Link for World Scribe, really handy app.
If you're an android user there's always World Scribe.
