This is going beyond what an app should be able to do. I don't remember this app asking permission to access other apps on my phone - especially core Google apps. I would expect that this kind of malicious activity is against Google's policies. Do yourself and everyone a favor and do what I did. Scroll down the page where the app is located and REPORT it! I'll paste the URL. You can also report it on your phone via the app's details page... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xfinity.cloudtvr&hl=en

Yeah coz the phone n tablet are not showing the video thru a HDMI output but directly to the device display, which the Android boxes obviously do not have ...and yeah need to be subscriber or have a shared acct
So hopefully someone with good modding knowledge can figure out circumventing HDMI check

Hi u/jb_bryant,

You can access your channels and lineup using this site while on a PC. Or you can download the Xfinity Stream app from the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store or the Amazon App Store for smartphones and tablets. This way you can still access Starz since it's apart of your subscription. Here's more information about the Xfinity Stream App requirements. Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
Works fine for me using the XFINITY TV app
