One of the reasons I suggested to try AutoNotifications first is due to the increased risk of of incompatibility when running several xposed modules. For example, on this device, regex matching in Xnotifications is less reliable than NotifyClean.
I don't believe there's any differences beyond that that are outlined in their respective descriptions for Xnotifications vs NotifyClean.
If you're looking for just simple regex blocking, then perhaps try NotifyClean first as it's post management may be easier. You could always try both and then decide which one suits your needs better.
I don't think any normal app is capable of doing this directly from the notification drawer.
However with xposed such a feature is possible. XNotifications claims to be able to do it. Obviously you need root and the xposed framework to make it work.
This already exists as an app (with xposed module). Does not have this pretty UI, but you can longpress on notification and select Snooze, then desired time.

This is fake. It's the XNotifications module (requires Xposed).
Android doesn't^[1], but Windows Phone did (does?).
[1]: unless XNotifications.
If you've got xposed you can do that with xnotifications. (gPlay / xda)
>Lets you create rule based on any combination of: Notifying app/s, notification title, notification ticker and notification text.
So if you've got a contact named Joe who you don't want to receive notifications of if he writes in a group, you set a rule if the app is WhatsApp, the title is [group name] and the notification text starts with "Joe:" to hide this notification.
Edit: Here's an Example image from gPlay with exactly what you want: mutes a specific person in a specific group.
