'One Tap Youtube Module is an add-on for "One Tap Video Download" Xposed module:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phantom.onetapvideodownload It enables user to download or play a Youtube videos using other players.'
I also recommend this module: YouTube Background Playback,
http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.pyler.youtubebackgroundplayback
In combination with both modules you can have a blast with hearing the song you want directly from the YT app and download the music from it.
Sorry to bother you with another question but I think I saw somewhere that Samsung has a feature like this xposed module.
Am I hallucinating or is it true?
The problem is you can't really "override" the built-in viewer if the app won't make regular video app call.
Just had an idea: If you are rooted and Xposed framework installed, this may help.

I can recommend the following xposed modules related to watching and downloading (Youtube) videos:
These apps are superior to OGYoutube imo.
I love this module! I really like the floating window interaction (resize, reposition, play in background). You can also download any video in any quality available. I do think the notifications could improve by being less invasive.
Another similar xposed module One Tap Video Download handles the notification better (but doesn't pop-up as convenient). It can play videos in your own player of choice.
Lastly, there's OGYoutube, which is nice for it's official app modifications enabling background play (screen off), pop-out video (no resize) and download (any quality). Downside of this app is the more involved installation.
All three serve their purpose. They all download videos reliably, but they differ in other features and implementation.
Watching reddit videos while browsing the comments? Or automatically queuing youtube videos in an ad-hoc playlist? > Awesome Pop-Up.
Longer videos (youtube or otherwise) fullscreen HD in MXPlayer? > One Tap Video Download.
Search in native youtube environment, browsing recommended and reading comments? Playing music while screen off/background without youtube Red? > OGYoutube
Bonus little xposed module: Youtube Swipe to Seek. Adds swipe gestures to the official Youtube player.
Basically any Chromium based browser (Chrome, Tuga, Samsung, Brave etc) + this (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phantom.onetapvideodownload). You need Xposed though, so you can't be on Oreo. What this does is provide a heads-up notification whenever it detects a video with options: Download, Play, Open or something like that. If you choose "Play" then you can select MXPlayer.
Personally, since the sites I use all this for are not exactly on the up and up, I prefer to use Yandex browser. You can basically side-load ublock origin in it (you download the chromium package from ublock's github, unzip it somewhere and then in Yandex you go to chrome://extensions and there you activate dev mode and select manifest.json from the ublock origin folder). Ublock origin beats even Samsung Browser + Adguard or any integrated adblocking in my opinion. You can also load Violentmonkey in the same way and then set up this: https://xuhaiyang1234.gitlab.io/AAK-Cont/. Only thing I don't know is how safe Yandex is. I only use it for one thing though and never for any regular web browsing or, god forbid, banking etc. Also, I think I only give it permission to store files in the SD and not for contacts, location etc.
I also like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=codes.simen.l50notifications to customize the notification (place on bottom, have it always expanded so the Download, Play options are always availabe, change colors etc).
Do you have any idea if One Tap Video Download or Flipster work?
I'm also worried about Min Min Guard, because here it says that works with "possible freezing". Also PinNotif and WifiKeyView appear to be not working either an I'd love to have those.
Do you have Xposed installed? If yes install this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phantom.onetapvideodownload
if you need the download feature and have Xposed framework installed, I recommend One Tap:
