Yeah, there's a couple of apps like that. The problem with isn't really with the apps though, it's the availability of the taxis.
- It's probably the "best" out of the taxi apps. It works with most dispatch systems in Vancouver and gives you a fare estimate as well. I don't think you can pay through the app though.
- This one is dubbed the "Uber solution" by the taxi companies in Vancouver, but it's never worked for me. This one you can pay through the app, but I've heard of people getting charged for taxis they hail through the app that never show up.
- This is a private black car service with an Uber like app. It works well, but it's very expensive.
