I'd like to put forwards as a suggestion for the new Ontario flag...
https://www.amazon.ca/Dawhud-Direct-Fleece-Blanket-Howling/dp/B07JCCTM6V
My criteria:
- It's got wolves on it and I do believe they are part of Indigenous lore/history
- its' got a round moon orbiting the earth so piss on the flat earthers they don't get a vote
- it's readily available at every market, and festival at the province so it'll be easy to get everyone to own one.
- probably 15% of apartment windows in the province already fly some sort of wolf blanket as window covering so people are already flying the new flag.
It's like $40 for the entire year. No caps, good bandwidth pass through, and no logging.
You can pay with Bitcoin and Gift cards if you want to be anonymous.
On mobile so I can't post a good link right now.
Observe, fair maiden, that Old South is effectively the area known as Wortley Village. That area of town is quite easy to bike around within Old South/Wortley Village. There is a grocery store, hardware store, a number of shops and cafes in the area so in some sense it has a smaller town feeling.
See corrected bus info below. You do get a full-year bus pass as part of your tuition (Sept. to Aug.) so public transportation is not an issue. Biking is also a fairly easy commute with the multi-use bike trails. Depending where exactly you will be living, it shouldn't take you more than 15-20 minutes to bike, or 1 hour to walk, or 15-30 minutes to bus (depending on traffic).
You are close enough to some non-undergrad pubs as well, with a reasonable walk (20-30 minutes) or bike (10 minutes) commute. The bus may be less direct (again I'm not too familiar with the routes in that area).
The LTC update broke all the third party apps, and they haven't given the devs access to the backend with new, "accurate" times. There is the website, but it is literally unusable for me on my phone.
That said, I still use MyLTC, or the Google Maps app directly. Neither are totally accurate, but I know the buses I take well enough that it still works for me. MyLTC lets you bookmark stops and search by stop numbers, very useful.
This is the app I use
myLTC (Android) You can see when a bus is coming in real time instead of when it's scheduled to be there. Also a map that will show you exactly where the busses are
Here's a ride I did back in July. A good place to start for you would be the climb up Colonel Talbot at Bryon Baseline Rd, then follow my route to Old River Rd for a pretty steep climb. North of London has beautiful country roads, but very little elevation. Great way to get some base miles though. The trail system along the Thames is quite excellent, but can get busy on weekends. During the week it's OK. https://www.strava.com/activities/339198050
If she enabled android device manager she can try here to locate it. https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager otherwise for the pictures and music if she had google photo backup enabled she should be able to get the photo's online also https://photos.google.com/
I second u/picklesdoggo notion that the data may be bad. Floppies are notoriously prone to failure.

All in all, London is a pretty great city to live in. There is a healthy art and music scene and a ton of free festivals during the summer months.
Based on the Amazon pricing I suspect it is out of print:

I would keep an eye out on used sellers like BetterWorldBooks/Abe books if you want to find it.

This is maybe not the style you're looking for, but I'm constantly blown away by Eugene Lee's work on Instagram. He's at Golden Axe now too. (I don't have any tattoos yet, but I'm in the researching phase).
The London branch of Nurse Next Door is all kinds of shady. My Mom just recently quit, and was only with them for a very short time. Not once was she ever paid on time, their excuse was that they had just switched their payroll to another company.
One of her clients required her to stay on site to monitor them for I believe a 24 hour period, but it only paid like $120 for the whole job, which works out to around $5/hour... well below minimum wage, which was a contributing factor to her leaving. It's good to know her suspicions about the taxes issue were justified.
~~The CEO/Director of 8.5:1 (Adam Glazer) is the Husband of the Director of London branch of Nurse Next Door (Tammy Bale)~~ (missed where you already mentioned this), she is the one who hired my Mom. The job required a Background Check, which my Mom paid for, but was never even asked for it before she was hired. This should have been another red flag on top of the one $5/hr job.
~~According to Tammy's Linked-In account, she also works for 8.5:1. https://www.linkedin.com/pub/tammy-bale/83/aa2/211~~
What kinds of things do you like to do? There are lots of different groups depending on your interests. Meetup.com is a good spot - there are groups for crafts, finance, tech, and lots of other things. FCSSC is very popular (they play some sort of casual sport like dodgeball and then go out for beer). There are trivia nights and things like rock & roll bingo where you can probably meet people. Lots of one off networking events at the breweries and stuff, find those, go hang out, say hi to people. Lots of one-off events focused around art or community. I like hanging out at Junction (climbing gym) or any of a few different bars that have more of a community vibe than clubs or pubs do. If you're into gaming there are D&D meetups and stuff like that around town.
Never seen one before. Nothing on amazon either, except for a stuffed squirrel if you are really in the dog house and need something to calm the tides if she's into them.

This is an excellent website to learn programming : http://www.codecademy.com/
It is very important that you learn how to learn by yourself, because that is the most valued skill a developer can have.
Some might think this is overdoing it, but there are a lot harder ways to learn about the cold than a little reading first. In winter, the weather forecasts will give you an ambient temperature and a wind chill temperature (i.e., feels like) that can be significantly colder. Be prepared to dress for that colder temperature, deep cold combined with winds can quickly lead to frostbite and hypothermia setting in faster than you think it might.
Wind chill index - https://www.canada.ca/en/environment-climate-change/services/weather-health/wind-chill-cold-weather/wind-chill-index.html#table1
Temperatures in London in mid-winter can reach -10C or colder with an added -10C with wind chill. As an example, see the temperature graph on this page for December 2016. keep in mind the data shown doesn't include the added cold of the wind chill, which affects both daily highs and lows.
https://www.accuweather.com/en/ca/london/n6g/december-weather/55489?monyr=12/1/2016
I was with them since they were Wind. Not on them any longer, but I didn't have any major issues. There were some dead spots, but nothing terrible. Data speed was slower at the time (but this was about 3 years ago, and I hear it's better now). I do know that Gammage Superstore is a dead zone... but that's for ALL cell service.

I know Samsung Galaxy S-model phones include an FM receiver. You need to plug in headphones to use an antenna, but I've used the NextRadio app and it works great.
I bought this 25-pk on Amazon, it's been fantastic so far. Easy install, no smudging/clarity issues. Cheap as hell.
This is only App I know of that specializes in Yard Sales but I believe it is not free and has a subscription. As well, from what I remember it just gets its data from craigslist.

That's because the LTC's Google feed does not include live arrival data, only schedules. The apps all scrape arrivals data from the LTC website. I recommend https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.frasermccrossan.ltc rather than OnTime. While I cannot speak for the person you’re responding to, I think they were referring to this well know fact:

I use my motorcycle lock. It can wrap around many parts of my bike and solid infrastructure. I have never had a problem, BUT and thats a big BUT, i do not live in the east end where the 10 speed gremlins live.
I second that. A lot of times, people just need to be treated like fellow human beings. That was really part of Carl Sagan's point in Pale Blue Dot, so good on you OP.
u/loongo, if you're looking for something that is perfect for beginners, I suggest binoculars designed for stargazing. I recently bought these: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0007UQNTU and have been very impressed. One thing of note: you will need a good tripod.

My wife ordered a baby scale off amazon.
pretty sure it's this one:
Something like this is probably what they used, commonly called a "slim jim" or a "entry kit", use them all the time in my trade for when either we, or customers lock theirs keys in their car. If you've had a little bit of practice, you could have a car door open in under 30 seconds on probably about 80% of vehicles on the road today.
My feet are rock solid on the heels and I use a sock type treatment that I got off Amazon which is a mild acid and moisturizer. It doesn't work all that great because of how thick and dense my skin is but it might work for you.

It didn't peel like I thought it might, but that's a good thing for me.
I've had this one (but the V2 version) in my car since 2017. I had the V1 in my car as far back as 2014, but it broke and the company sent me a V2 free of charge. My wife has the dual camera A129, I'm still a little jury out if the rear is absolutely necessary, but it isn't hurting anything.

We've both used it now, she was minorly involved in a pretty bad accident last year and the police used it to determine fault on the other driver who ran a light but was trying to blame it on the other car that he slammed into before he ricocheted into my wife. I used mine to determine fault when the garage door to the parking garage in our old condo fell out of the rails after opening and smashed onto my car (the building was trying to blame me for driving through the door).
Definitely a useful investment. Plus you capture all sorts of other entertaining stuff.

It's usually an essential oil they add. You just have to make sure it's food grade. Here's an example: https://www.amazon.ca/Viva-Doria-Bergamot-Essential-Undiluted/dp/B07S5YL7LD
If you want to get it locally, I'd see if Bulk Barn carries it. Or call around to health food stores and see if they sell food-grade oil. There are some non-food grade oils meant for topical use or perfume -- don't consume that obviously.

What if the answer was "yes"? Would that make you less snarky? Or are you one of the "We ShOuLdN't LiVe In FeAr!" people who won't wear a mask even if everyone had to wear one regardless of the activity, because, despite people more knowledgeable than those of us who are NOT scientists or medical professionals suggesting it's a good idea, it goes against "MUH FREEDOMS!"
EDIT: I designed a mask recently just for you actually, so if you DO decide to wear one you can have a holier-than-thou attitude about that too: https://teespring.com/you-re-welcome-mask?pid=972&cid=103980
I don't know what lessons are available, but two tools that immediately come to mind are Duolingo and, if you have a library card, you can use Mango for free. I actually just started using Mango to learn Mandarin yesterday so I can't attest to how well it works, but I like it so far.
I use Duolingo to practice my Spanish and French. I have learned some German with it, but I don't know how good it would be to truly learn a language from scratch.
My data on 4G is already over twice as fast as my cable internet at home. I get that future-proofing is a thing with technology, but I really don't see what kind of content people are going to be consuming on their phones in the foreseeable future that requires a gigabit data connection.
Unless there is a very dramatic change in the pricing model for data in Canada, then nobody will be able to realistically use 5G speeds. Even if there was some kind of content that you could consume on your phone that would benefit from 5G speeds, then a typical 8GB data plan would max out within (assuming my math is right) 64 seconds at 1Gpbs.
So yeah faster download speeds are a "benefit" per se, but it's an expensive benefit that doesn't provide any real value right now (or in the foreseeable future).
> you're not going to convert a significant number of drivers to cyclists
As you can see from this easily digestible presentation the focus of the report is on creating cycling infrastructure that people will feel comfortable using. Painted line lines, while better than nothing, are still too exposed for many riders.
I may be naive, but I think if people are given a safe option to cycle to work that many will do it. When I talk to people that are open to cycle commuting, the reason they don't do it is almost always that one stretch of their trip that scares the hell out of them. Until we have a proper network of lane separated lanes, those people are still going to get in there cars.
You're absolutely right that if we declare a climate emergency we need to act. Roughly 48% of our emissions came from transportation. Cycling is a relatively cost-effective way to put a serious dent in that number, while also having the halo benefit of increasing the health and well-being of those who do it.
TIA?
I bought one on Groupon in the summer when it was on a super sale for $10. Might go down again in price.
I have yet to try it however.

Depending on your vehicle you may need some help with installation and a fuse piggyback kit.
I also face a battle taking our kid to school, but instead of a parking lot, it's an icy path (up a steep hill, nonetheless), this path is not part of school property. Also, the path is clearly marked, "not maintained in the winter". But it's so much faster to go that way, and everyone else takes their chances too : ) Seen some pretty nasty falls though, mostly parents.
I purchased something like this https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07ZJP9GG4 only mine are chain style, but these look more reasonable. Mine are only good if you have snow/ice for the entire walk, otherwise you're walking on these cleats on pavement. And they're not exactly attractive. For me though, totally worth it.
You said you don't walk with a cane, but have you considered one of these? My grandmother used to carry one - she couldn't walk long distances due to arthritis and vericose veins and would need to sit periodically. She upgraded to a walker with a seat later on.
Maybe you'll find carrying that around just as embarassing as sitting on the floor, but I thought I'd mention it in case you haven't seen these before.
Im not so sure your allergies are from the neighbors woodstove. It could be many things including psychological. Unless your neighbor is burning exotic wood odds are its indoor particles coming from within you're own home causing your allergies to trigger. Make sure to cycle air in and out your home every so often if its well insulated. If wood stoves are not properly vented, they can give off particulates but this is a problem usually inside the house the stove resides in; low chance to effect you "I am in a constant state of allergy hell " this much. anyways the link provided talks about other common sources. Maybe ask your neighbor politely to clean the chimney if they havent done so this year already, it should be done 1-2 times a season. (could be very dirty)

Depends on the airline. Usually tickets that are non-refundable are marked as such, and there may be a cancellation fee, or the airline may only be willing to give you credit towards a different flight. Some airlines will also offer you trip cancellation insurance when you buy your tickets.
You don't have to use a travel agent, but if you have a lot of questions or are unsure about the process it might not hurt. Personally, I just use ITA Matrix (https://matrix.itasoftware.com/) to find the best price tickets and then buy directly from the airline. It's much easier to get a refund or deal with customer service that way as opposed to using a site like Expedia.

Is the projector damaged or does the lamp just need to be replaced? Lamps burn out after a certain amount of hours (usually 2000+ hours). You can buy a new one online. Here is one after a very quick search on Amazon:
I did not advise anyone to skip the permitting process. I explicitly mentioned that as a homeowner, you have the right to do your own work, under your own permit, that is to be inspected by the governing authority.
If a homeowner wants to do their own work and make it up as they go, that's on them. But I have not said that it's ok to do that, so please don't make me out to be some guy that's undermining every single trade.
And yes, years of experience of training is required to be a licensed electrician, but I've had licensed electricians do work in my own home that was incorrect.
Many people turn to DIY because some licensed professionals don't give a shit because it's not their home and they are just looking for a quick buck. The uneducated homeowner is oblivious to that.
Obviously not the case for every tradesperson out there. But do research. Adding a circuit for a room and a switched overhead fixture is not complicated and that is likely 90% of what every finished basement will require.
If you follow the permitting procedure, buy a code book and get it inspected properly, you can confidently say it's been done correctly after it passes inspection.
I noticed a lot of places only sell them individually, the basic set can be found on Amazon

Do you by any chance want to buy a kayak for really cheap? I have an inflatable one that I bought off Amazon a couple years ago and it's still in the box. :)

Also please look into a light (both front and back) as others commented. When I was a cyclist I got mine on amazon. It’s best to have a siren or something too.

tvdsb (and all school boards in Ontario) have been hosted out of a company in Kitchener called D2L for many years now
If you're cleaning it frequently and have a pressure washer, you could get an attachment like this:
It can really help keep your line free of small roots. I clean mine out every 18 months, it's just part of the game here in Old North.
It's hard to understand why they would use this cruel and torturous method. Pigeons are a common problem on apartment balconies, and recommended remedies are usually deterring and blocking off nesting sites (netting, spikes, etc.) Reflective tape and pinwheels also work well as deterrents.
Northview REIT aren't the only ones who have been accused of poisoning pigeons. Remember Centurion's The Marq with the windowless bedrooms? They also own this building in Toronto where tenants reported suspected poisonings.
There are biking masks, they have a valve that lets the air out unfiltered, and they close up when you breathe in. Since we're trying to contain our own droplets, the valves just dump your exhaust.

The reason that I got one is that I was sideswiped twice in the same section of Wharncliffe over about a 6 month period. Drivers not checking their blindspot. No one 'came out of nowhere' and both times were in the middle of the day. They just decided to drift lanes without looking. I was driving a Buick at the time, so it's not like I was driving a tiny vehicle which they couldn't see very well - not that that would be an excuse, but still.
> Does the rear cam see the passengers in the car or just out the back window?
You mount it yourself. I guess technically you could put it somewhere closer to the front of the vehicle so that you also record the people in the rear portion of your car. But you wouldn't see the traffic behind you in as much detail as I'm sure that you/your insurance company would want. It's meant to be mounted to the ceiling immediately inside of your rear window.
The rear camera is a separate, small camera. It's about a 1.5cm x 1cm x 1cm cube which has a wire that you plug into the main camera mounted to your windshield. When the rear camera is plugged in, the recording is 85% the front camera and there is a picture-in-picture image of the rear camera in the upper-right hand corner. If the rear camera isn't plugged in the video is 100% from the front camera.
I could give you a list of its features, but here's the Amazon link to the camera that I have and you can see for yourself (not an affiliate link or anything shady). Current price is $60.

Like this one from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Military-sticker-Compatible-Wrangler-RUBICON/dp/B014BYBQ1C
That is a unique looking jeep though. So that may still help to identify it?
Hope this helps - good luck getting your garden tractor back. Thieves suck.
Apparently Amazon has it... Interesting read I got my copy years ago from Crimethinc when shipping cross border wasn't so expensive.
Expect Resistance is also worth checking out.
They would then be classified as limited speed motorcycles like a moped, but that classification is for vehicles that can reach 90km/h, like those 125cc Hondas.
Your reasoning is arbitrary and not thought-out. My son therefore needs a license and insurance for his Power Wheels Jeep Wrangler by your logic.
And what about mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs? My poor grandmother and has had two hip replacements. she's already struggling on her pension does she really need to start paying some insurance company to get around town? Do you work for Desjardin?
i highly recommend this keeps me pumped up all day
Why you need VPN ? there are loads of VPN service for different aspects such as streaming, gaming, torrenting etc.. PIA and IPVanish is great to use at you can read reviews of VPN.
I really like TunnelBear
I think I'm coming up on 2 or 3 years of subscription. The PC, Android, and iPad apps are all very simple and fool-proof interfaces with easy change the country, turn on/off options. And they have bear animations so they're cute too.
