Mobile Performance Meter is a total passive money making app out of your cellular service. It collects data on how you use your cellular service in the background and gives you points everyday for redeeming gift cards. I like it because it's passive, and non-intrusive on my phone. You get around $5/month depending on the kind of service provider you use. Do monthly survey and other surveys to amass points faster.
If you have spare Android phones, you can run Yolotto on it 24/7 to earn passive money (max 5 phones). Tap the "Watch and Earn" button and it plays ads continuously and accumulate Yoobux. You can cash out Yoobux to PayPal or Amazon gift card. Feel free to use my referral code 8Y8VUZ after confirming your account email and it will give you a cool 10 Yoobux to start with.

We're no startup but there's a great work life balance. The current app that's in the store is not the greatest but we have a pretty huge update coming around performance.
As the current (and sole) Android dev I can tell you I am passionate about being great software and hope you are too! If you have experience with RxJava, Dagger, or unit testing with Roboletric+Mockito that's a huge plus. Consider applying or please send me questions :)

Watchville has a great internet-time feature. Use it along with a spreadsheet in Google Drive to keep track of things if you really want to get detailed.
My preferred method is to set it to atomic time using Watchville, and check it a week or so later to see how it's changed. Divide by the number of days it's been and there's your average loss or gain/day.

I recommend you Feedster (Play Store). It has dark theme, view modes for news feed, subscriptions category, comments publishing, rating and other. Feedster contains ads but it's only in news feed, does not detract from viewing and no pop-ups with timers or other inconveniences. And here you can connect another sources, such as Reddit, Twitter and other (if you need it)
Feedster - News aggregator with smart features. Google Play. Reddit
Predator for ProductHunt.

I can recommend Feedster app. You can subscribe to the necessary sources of news on Twitter, YouTube or others and after that add the social networks to the Feedster. All news will be shown in the general Feedster list.
I´m using Wecast. Loving it,got it for €0.10 some weeks ago,it goes to the point, the UI is beautiful, the dev is a nice guy,the only handicap is not having a good discover section, but in terms of use,my favorite. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nostalgictouch.wecast.paid
