> I’m going to look into TickTock now!
Just to clarify, it's TickTick, presumably named after ticking things off your to do list.
Not to be confused with that other similarly named app that all the cool kids are using lately.
Perhaps using a sync method other than Dropbox would help? Reminders seems to have some kind of CalDAV support, but I haven't tried it... http://www.2doapp.com/kb/article/which-sync-method-should-i-use.html
Evernote isn't great for task management, but I do create a lot of meeting notes and other items I want to follow up on. I created an IFTTT workflow that takes tagged notes and creates tasks to follow up on them in Toodledoo. That, in turn, syncs to 2do.

Since you're all Apple, you may also want to check out NotePlan. It also has the advantage of making all of your tasks and notes available as Markdown files as actual external files, so if you ever want to switch to something else it's pretty simple to move everything somewhere else. They also have a subreddit at r/noteplanapp
