> Additionally, can you name any threat made in twitch chat that was criminal or can you name any channel that was shut down because of their chat's behaviour?
If that's your idea of the Twitch community, it sounds like Twitch doesn't want to be associated with it either. Note that PCF does not really say anything about the chat, because they trust us to do the right thing for them (and DWB!)
> This is wrong. You donate it to PCF, whom gives you a salary. It's effectively become just a lovely scam.
Professional fundraising at our scale and efficiency is almost unheard of. If none of us were making money, GDQ would still be a tiny event making a tenth of what it does now. It makes very little sense when you think about it to take issue with paying for effective fundraising. None of us are making huge paychecks (you can even call our charities to confirm). We operate in a way that will make our eventual transition to non profit smoother. But if we weren't paid, we'd have to work elsewhere, with little time left to run GDQ. Also to be clear, charities pay the company, not the staff.
The charities not only understand the value of events like ours, they absolutely love it. We are the largest single fundraising event globally for both charities!
