If anyone who is using these cartridges has a skimmer basket I HIGHLY suggest you buy these socks it saves so much from going into the paper filter

I did it with the stock filter that came with the Bestway 48 in H x 18 ft W Steel Pro Max Pool Set from Academy Sports. Them I bough this filter from Amazon
SEWANTA Pool Filter [Set of 2] Pool Filters Type A or C - Compatible with All Intex & Bestway Pool Filter Cartridge Pumps Rated 500/2,500 GPH - Replacement Pool Filters for Above Ground Pools
I assume this one would be overkill for our little pool (10ft Bestway steel frame 4687 litre)
I was a first time, complete noob, pool owner when we bought our house (with AGP) last summer. Get a test kit, or strips at the very least, along with shock - either powdered or liquid, I use both (it was really hard to find last year so I bought whatever form I could find). Also get a chlorinator - the little thing that floats around that you put the chlorine pucks in. This year I added a poolRX to the pump basket and have had more stable water than I had all summer last year.
This is what I ended up ordering. I am going to bring a 50amp line to it so I have enough juice to power some lights and such. I will run the pump and salt generator through the timer.

Looks good.
I purchased 8 of these last year
There are several sellers that have the same or something similar. Most reviews are good and some bad but I took a shot anyhow and couldn't be happier.
No wires and the batteries last a long time. They all sync up together with the remote which is nice.
The magnets are good enough to hold it to the legs through the liner but if someone knocks into one, it will fall down which wasn't a big deal to me.
As long as you tighten them properly when putting the batteries in, you shouldn't have any issues with water getting in. The design is actually nice. One sealed compartment for the batteries and a second sealed cover on top of that.
They are plenty bright, especially when you have 8 of them
We have a 12x24 and use one like this. We call it the pool boy. It's awesome.

The new pump and filter are 1 1/2 NPT. The skimmer and mew port are the same. I was able to fins couplings and valves at the hardware store.
If you need adapters to go from pipe thread to the flex style hoses that come with the pool. You'll need these:
Sorry. I was getting crazy bids, some reaching over $6k. This is a floating deck that someone did for me for less than $2k (10x10). I actually could have done it myself after seeing how it’s built. It’s not the hard but it is work. Here is the ladder. I used this one as the wheels are bigger which makes it not get stuck often. I have had mines for 2 years no issue.

Amazon is a decent resource for parts to convert with. Something like this might work, just check your diameter sizes.
This is the one I bought off Amazon which has good reviews. It is made very well with thick material. So far it's holding up!
Unfortunately I see it's unavailable, but depending on your pool size you may find a different pillow size in stock.
That's what I thought. I thought about getting this, but I set it up from the beginning with the rubber disc and it still works pretty well. The part you got looks better than the one I was looking at though, and is cheaper too. If you haven't already read them, it looks like there's a couple of helpful tips in the review section on the part that you bought about a notch to align with, and taking the gasket off the previous pump to use with it. Might be worth checking out. Good luck, hope it works out!
We got one similar to this. We call it the pool boy.

If you’re serious about hearing your pool you need a gas or electric pool heater. If you just need to add 4-8° and you have a lot of sun, a solar heater can actually work. We tried one of these small ones (about $120 at the time) and it made 1-2° difference on a good day. Then we got this bigger one and it was much more effective. It can add as much as 10° in the course of a sunny day and then your solar cover will hold a surprising amount of heat in overnight. We keep out cover on now whenever we’re not using the pool but holding heat in at night or when the outside temp drops is what the cover does best. The cover is less for heating and more for holding heat.
I’m a novice to owning a pool but I have about the same size as yours. We shock ours once weekly and have a chlorine float that we put one tablet in, that usually lasts us a little over a week. I was having some issues getting my chlorine levels in the ideal range in the beginning until I added a double dose of the recommended shock. Now it seems to be doing pretty well. We use one of those chemistry kit looking tests for our chlorine levels and I just purchased a skimmer to help cut down on the debris that sink to the bottom but I’m still waiting on delivery.
I bought these and could not use them .. Is this what you are looking for ?
