This is their current Play Store version.
This is their website where you can purchase it outside of the Play Store. This is their recommended option because they're also violating Samsung's terms by publishing this app. The key occasionally gets disabled and the app removed from the Play Store. Then you get stuck waiting for a new one and possibly have to re-purchase it. They might restore your license on the new version.
All that being said, it hasn't been removed from the Play Store in a while now. Samsung might have given up.
The rule should be:
com.chrome.beta|*|53
You just have to change the package ID to match the app. An easy way to find the package ID is to look the Play Store url:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chrome.beta&hl=en_US
The closest alternative to Adhell 3 is Adguard. It's an Ad blocker with a firewall. Only issue with Adguard is, it's reported to drain battery. Nothing significant, but apparently it does.
Try it for a couple of days and see the difference for yourself.
Adguard: https://adguard.com/en/welcome.html
You can also try Blokada or DNS66. But they don't come with a firewall.
3.1.1 is the current version. i think firewall being disabled is no big deal. you might want to add other host source so you block more ads, like this one https://adaway.org/hosts.txt it has like 40k domains
I've never had good luck with PDP, I did find this app to disable apps, and it's been wornin great: CCSWE
For blocking ads, I just use the private dns feature built into the GS9.
A good replacement to disable apps is CCSWE App Manager
And use the adguard for a private DNS to block ads.
I miss adhell since it was all 1 app, but this solution is working well for me.
If you just used it as a package disabler, there's Package Disabler Pro on the Play Store that can do that. In fact I'm using that to disable some apps.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.elmklmsamsung.batteryaddon
I used this to find and blacklist the url but the ad still pops up
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.antispycell.connmonitor
Edit: to anyone in the future, I never did manage to solve this issue, even when blacklisting all the URLs
I just purchased the pro app eventually because it was only that app, nothing else
