My wife and I have done the same position for the same reasons. It works. Highly recommend a reading/sitting/husband pillow. Whatever the name is. Poofy pillow for sitting up in bed. Helps support a comfortable position for both of us.
I’ll put a link here just for reference since it’s hard for me to explain apparently 🙄 https://www.amazon.com/ComfortSpa-Reading-Backrest-Cushion-Heartburn/dp/B07GZB5SJZ
Heat and vibrating massage works great to help empty the breasts. These are one of the heating pads I use. breast heating pads
I have heard a lot of mixed reviews about the hands free in bra pumps like
My wife is already producing but we were looking into a convenient way to stimulate more while not disrupting her day. Does anyone have any experience with these kinds of pumps?
Look on Amazon for something like "nipple correctors"... here is a set of some different types :) https://www.amazon.com/Corrector-Aspirator-Inverted-Breastfeeding-Silicone/dp/B09W2DHPPB/ref=sr_1_11?crid=EDRRKUUBT6DG&keywords=nipple+corrector&qid=1667191841&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI1LjU1IiwicXNhIjoiNC44MSIsInFzcCI6IjQuNTQifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=nipple+correc%2Caps%2C191&sr=8-11
It won't mimic suckling, but it'll be a nice suction.
You can also buy little bullet vibrators for nipples... or a TENS unit if that is your thing?
That's so wonderful, I am so happy for you :) I started out doing this for my partner but this has improved my self esteem and my appreciation of my body so much. I think calling it an act of self love is a perfect way to call it.
This is the tens unit I used to have, actually, and I really enjoyed it!
The little top cover is cool because you don't have to worry about accidentally changing the settings while you use it, and the buttons have a lock on them too, I think. The little clippy is there for you to have while you're working and the electrode pads are cheap on Amazon too.
If you end up having questions about what settings to use, you can check out the link I showed you before in the previous comments from Breastnotes about the tens units (if I'm wrong let me know and I'll go find the page I went to that had the settings I used XD). I think they give guidance for what settings to use in there; I also think I recall the manual that comes with the tens unit being super detailed about what each setting can be used for.
I hope this helps! Have a great weekend <3

The large ARTIBETTER's work AMAZING. Be careful at first because they pull a lot in, causing blistering. They can be a pain to pop off if they are on too tight as well, but eventually as your nipple/areola size increases, it becomes a lot easier.
Yay!! I’m using this one for now. I needed something budget friendly and easy to use.
I've been very pleased with the cheaper knockoffs from China. The one I am using is this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CZZN1VX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and I bought it in 2019!

I'm about a 34H now and I use this one! Simple Wishes Hands-Free Breast Pump Bra
I got the smaller size (as recommended by reviews) and was terrified it was the wrong choice because with other pumping bras the largest size would be way too small. The size chart says I would need the larger size. But it fits great AND it has a zipper on the front so it's not a pain in my butt to get on. I love the way it holds the flanges, it's the most secure pumping bra I've tried.
I just purchased the AUVON 24 mode tens unit and I like it well enough but I ESPECIALLY love that it’s USB-C rechargeable (see it here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098JMHPFN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_8W8B33KXHAH8ZJJ9K3KS?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 ) . I went through and found the settings I liked and made a note to myself so when I go to use it I can cycle through what I want.
I’ve read so many different posts and watched different videos and nothing helped me understand how to properly latch. I’m pretty sure I was just really overthinking it. I really wanted to learn though so I ordered First Years BreastFlow bottle and although I haven’t had a chance to try latching after using the bottle, but in order to drink from it, I had no choice but to latch properly. I know for sure it’s going to help me when I latch on to my wife. Unfortunately, they’re discontinued in the store and I had to buy it on Amazon in a set.
Currently trying this, so far it has made mine feel fuller and a few drops. It's only been about a week and I dont have a regular pumping/tens schedule yet.
4) I just bought an electric pump on amazon because i needed something to use hands free and stimulate both breasts at the same time. Pumps are SO expensive but this one was only $38!! I so far have been using it on the same schedule as the hand pump. Instead of buying a pumping bra to hold the pumps, i looked online for a DIY bra using an old sports bra i have an i love it! i keep the bra, a large sweatshirt (to cover my breasts when driving or in my car), and a larger cosmetic bag with me in my back seat or under my front seat where i will only know where it is. It is a little loud with the suction sound but if i throw a blanket over the pump or muffle it, it honestly can be covered up with light music or water sounds. I have also researched places on campus where lactation rooms are available and have used the ones where i know they won’t be used in more unpopular buildings if need be. i have also put up sun and window shades in my car and sat in the back of the parking lot and used my pump(s) if i couldn’t later on. The link for the pump is below!

Sadly, it’s only a single. But it was cheap, and it gets the job done. (Not as quiet as advertised though.)

For pumping and nursing or just nursing? If just nursing, I'd save money, just wear a tank top to bed and whip out a tit, sleep topless, or just lift a shirt. That's assuming she doesn't regularly wear bras to bed. If pumping and nursing, I bough 5 or 6 of the exact same bra and I wear them daily.
The straps are adjustable so I can criss-cross the back when I wear tank tops.

These are better but are a bit ferocious. Lack of patience will almost certainly cause blisters and that is not what you want. If you are experienced in nipple suction you will likely know all about this. If you are a newbie, err on the side of caution and use low vacuum for about 30 minutes until you find what is safe yet comfortable. Permanent enlargement requires many months of doing this as much as possible. Low vacuum for 24/7 not out of the question if you are careful. Few have the patience! For the price get both sizes if you have virtually no nipple even when erect. If you nipples are "erasers" already I'd suggest the large. The Nipplette clone suggested is OK but you will fill it virtually straight away. When the cup is full the vacuum just works on a very small section of skin and this can easily cause a blister. Been there done that. Photo proof if needed! I've done it with the ones I suggest too so do wat I say not what I do! I have hormone breasts.
I followed a slightly accelerated version and only stayed on the birth control for 3 months instead of the full 4.5 and I honestly regret it because my volume is not as high as I would have liked. For the first 3 months I took a combination birth control (estrogen and progesterone - Yaz) and domperidone 80mg per day. During that time I did not use any form of stimulation (no pumping or tens) or any additional supplements. When I stopped the birth control and started pumping I pumped or my partner suckled every 2-3 hours (8 times a day) for about 30 minutes (with a double electric pump - or 30 minutes per side for my partner with massage halfway through). I also started taking these supplements 3x a day (Motherlove More Milk Moringa... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZF9D47M?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share). I got drops of milk the first day I started pumping and was getting ounces within two weeks. Now I’m about 3 months in and I have topped out at about 8-12oz daily.

This is the one I bought but they have this same style in 17mm as well if the 15 may be too small for your nipple/areola
I know this is a minor thing in the grand scheme of things, but these bras worked well for me. I cut holes to make them a pumping bra and worked well.

Thanks!
No herbs or supplements. I eat oatmeal for breakfast every day (and have since COVID lockdown back in March). Oatmeal is one of my favorite foods; I was delighted to see that it can encourage milk production.
I currently telework full-time, so I have relative freedom with my schedule. This is what has been working for me so far:
What's your routine?
It’s OOS on Amazon right now but here’s the link: Bellababy Pocket Double Electric Breast Pump Come with Hanging Lanyard Storage Bags and Adpaters Bottle Thread Changers https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TD4P8DS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fab_dVdDFb7VBJJNZ
I paid $84 new from Amazon last December.
There’s another Bella Baby pump on Amazon as well, a brick style, and it’s a little fussier to use (more buttons/options) but also has much stronger suction than a typical entry-level Medela or Spectra.
Me too! SO calls me "Ferret" because I love searching for and hoarding information.
Here they are. This is the best deal on Amazon. They're the same brand we use in the clinic. They stink (lol) but once it dries it's not noticeable.
Yay for social distancing inducing! I'm also using this time to induce! Its something my husband and I have been interested in but haven't in the past had time to put into it. Have you ever lactated in the past? I breastfed both our children but its been over 2 years since I dried up. We've been suckling once or twice a day since my husband is still working. In between those sessions I'm pumping also with a spectra. I've done a lot of research that says hand expressing is second best to a suckling partner. But UGH I hate it! We've been at it two weeks with no production but obvious breast changes. I had to use Dom when I was nursing my son because of supply issues but I'm not going to take it for inducing. I did just order a supplement from amazon. I'm hoping that'll help get the milk flowing!

This tiny little thing right here >> https://www.amazon.com/TechCare-Massager-Lifetime-Management-Rehabilitation/dp/B0722Q9F6Z/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=techcare+tens&qid=1573136720&sr=8-9
Unlike other TENS units, you can't control the pulse length and speed with this one, but it has a variety of modes, a couple of them with faster/slower/longer pulses, so if one mode becomes uncomfortable after 3-4 minutes, there are a few of the settings I swap between.
I use this one. Program 2 feels like suckling and will actually make your breasts bounce while you use it.

There's little silicone inserts you can put in there to reduce it to as little as 15mm. Doesn't specify it works with Avent, but I don't see why it wouldn't.
