Run for Your Lives is really fun and silly. You're being chased by people dressed as zombies. Of course, these zombies get tired, too, so they usually stand in the large path and try to grab a piece of fabric tied to your waist. It's a 5k (just a bit more than 3 miles), but there's enough obstacle to give you a break from straight running. It's really not that hard.
Rule #1: pace yourself. Start off running slower than you think you'll need to. You should be able to hold a conversation while running.
Set yourself up with Couch-2-5k (lots of apps out their phones). It's a great building block to get you running which starts off with some easy run/walk intervals. I love it. I went from barely being able to run a block (titanium femur) to being able to run a straight 5k. You can also zombie-fy your run with some great running-based zombie games, like "Zombies, Run!".
I made my own. First I already had a quick release handlebar mounted phone holder. This one I bought but others would be fine. The phone holder mounts with a ball and socket joint so it rotatable and you can adjust the angle. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085DMV7XD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_1wX.FbGGDKKPD?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Then I cut a piece of wood to be relatively phone shaped that would fit into the phone holder. This is the wood "puck". It's larger than my phone so as to take up as much room in the phone holder as possible. Sand the wood to give it a smooth edge and contour it to fit the phone mount as needed.
I bought a clipboard, and some hardware. I drilled a matching set of holes in the clipboard and wood puck.
I used 3 bolts (2 or more inches long), nut inserts (to be hammered in the holes at the bottom of the puck), 9 washers and 6 additional nuts in order to mount the clip board to the puck. I used the nuts to create an inch or more gap between the puck and clipboard.
Now I have a clipboard mounted to a wood puck and that can be put into the phone mount when I want to hold a map rather than a phone. Add bungies or bulldog binder clips to secure you maps.
I have a handle bar accessory extension which I plan to move the map board more forward and keep it from covering the other handle bar accessories or shifters, etc.
I can give more detail and photos if desired.
You are young enough that you could eventually develop an enormous aerobic base if you train correctly. Emphasis on correctly, not necessarily "hard enough", because the biggest thing that ruins endurance athletes is trying force too much too soon and burning out. Correct training takes place over years, not weeks or months. This involves putting in a lot of time running/biking/paddling slower than you think you need to be going, with little bits of faster stuff once in a while to push your speed. This book is mainly geared towards mountain runners and skimo athletes, but the science and training principles that it gets into can be applied to any endurance athlete with huge success, since it relies on the core principles of how aerobic fitness is developed: Training for the Uphill Athlete, by Steve House, Scott Johnston, and Kilian Jornet. These are famous names in the ultra endurance world for a reason, highly recommend. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VN6HGZG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_khcyFbVNRDJTH
I believe this is the model I use. https://jet.com/product/detail/85414650809244b8bd781ed0e398723f?jcmp=pla:ggl:gen_home_garden_a2:business_home_security_security_safes_a2_other:na:na:na:na:na:2&code=PLA15&ds_c=gen_home_garden_a2&ds_cid&ds_ag=business_home_security_... I did also see a master lock model at Walmart.
The ones I use are very small and have no straps. They don't seem to snag at all. There are lots of options, but the ones I have are similar to these:
The Thrill of Victory The Agony of My Feet is a good book with a bunch of classic AR stories. https://www.amazon.com/Thrill-Victory-Agony-Feet-Adventure/dp/1891369547
They blend together after a while if you try to binge read it but they are fun to read in bites.

I believe I have the version prior to these. They're perfect for any terrain and grip very well in mud. Ran the Bone Frog Challenge in these, and will wear them for any future Tough Mudders as well
I've seen these recommended a lot. I use my cross trainers, but will probably be picking up a pair or trail runners in a couple of weeks.
