I had the same problem, I clicked "start" in steam and it closed real quick and I walked through the support options in steam. No luck.

BUT when I tried to launch it in the install folder: "D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Another Brick in the Mall"

"api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll" was missing.

I updated in windows update (apparently SP1 was not installed....) and then used this link: https://www.smartftp.com/support/kb/the-program-cant-start-because-api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0dll-is-missing-f2702.html

to install "Visual C++ 64-bit"

AND IT WORKS!! :D If you get the same error, try it out
