I believe in order to have a script run without a user logged in, the account that runs the script needs to be granted permission to Log on as Batch: https://www.smartftp.com/support/kb/how-to-give-a-user-log-on-as-a-batch-job-rights-f2691.html
Ok enough jokes. You're missing a dll file which is obviously quite a problem when Windows is trying running Maplestory. Usually you can download individual .dll files from websites but I advise against it. From what I know of runtime errors, I think its usually related to outdated, corrupted or nonexistent visual c++ packages(different program, but potentially caused by the same root issue).
I can't say I have a direct fix for this problem because I only know of it from a friend of mine. I would suggest looking on the official forums to see if anybody else has encountered it. For now, I would reinstall the visual c++ packages and restart your computer.
It looks like it has something to do with visual c++. Maybe you are missing a windows update or something got screwy when installing skyrim se, it thinks you have it but actually don't? IDK this was a quick google search
FileZilla or BitKenex for free and ugly.
I think SmartFTP may be what you’re looking for. It appears to have thumbnails and possibly work nativity inside windows file explorer. They would need to back up their not windows 10 devices to one that has win10. Mobile file back up might be a bit clunky still, even paid.
Try just download the visual c++ redistributable, currently at: aka.ms/vs/16/release/VC_redist.x64.exe.
It worked for me anyway.
I found this fix on this steam Page: https://steamcommunity.com/app/289070/discussions/0/340412122409654528/.

For sure!
What you're looking for is FXP, not FTP, which allows for remote to remote transfers. I don't have any experience with it at all unfortunately, and it doesn't look like FileZilla supports it.
But it looks like SmartFTP does: https://www.smartftp.com/en-us/support/kb/14
Hopefully that gets you pointed in the right direction, sorry I can't be of more help.
You should check your firewall, or there are some other suggestions here:

FTP sam pre izbegavao jer nije bilo photo thumbnail-a. Naleteo sam sad na SmartFTP i ima thumbnail i brda drugih stvari. Transfer speed vrlo blizu maksimalnom DL. Nije free, al patch je odradio svoje.
The Universal CRT (part of the Visual C++ Redistributable 2017) failed to install:
Check out this site: https://www.smartftp.com/support/kb/the-program-cant-start-because-api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0dll-is-missing-f2702.html
The problem is that the KB2999226 (Universal CRT) which is part of the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 failed to install. So you need to install that again through either windows updates or by installing it yourself. Check out the link I posted.
https://www.smartftp.com/support/kb/the-program-cant-start-because-api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0dll-is-missing-f2702.html <-- it seems you have some different problems. Try what they are suggesting in this post. GL
I had the same problem, I clicked "start" in steam and it closed real quick and I walked through the support options in steam. No luck.
BUT when I tried to launch it in the install folder: "D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Another Brick in the Mall"
I got this Error on my screen: http://prnt.sc/d8sibh
"api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll" was missing.
I updated in windows update (apparently SP1 was not installed....) and then used this link: https://www.smartftp.com/support/kb/the-program-cant-start-because-api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0dll-is-missing-f2702.html
to install "Visual C++ 64-bit"
AND IT WORKS!! :D If you get the same error, try it out
I hope this helps!
For a different program, but the solution is the same, you're missing system files, nothing wrong with your Skyrim install. If you have a 64bit CPU you have to download the 64 bit version.
Found a solution, worked for me anyways.
Tried running it in Windows explorer first and said I was missing "api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll" - which is C++ Redistributable.
I already had that installed in the control panel so just uninstalled and reinstalled it and restarted. Downloaded from here since windows update wasn't recognising C++ as missing.
Works for me now.
Edit: Running windows 7 x64
This is caused when a certain windows update (specifically: KB2999226) fails to properly install. Starbound is not the only program affected by this. See this page for fixing instructions.
You talking download or steaming? And keep in mind that mega bytes and mega bits are not the same. Because I have wired set up with a good gaming computer. And my traffic is traversing a router (1gbit) and a bridged router (1gbit) and I still have 1080p with 60fps.
I highly doubt that. FileZilla have a great long-standing reputation, heck they're even the top result on Google for "ftp client". If you're unsure about it then there's plenty of alternatives, such as SmartFTP.
Edit: There's even a guide on the forum of the particular host you showed interest in here - they recommend FileZilla too.
