I got this dress on amazon and I LOVE it. For normal me it would just be another dress but for pregnant me it is a godsend!! I wear with leggings and boots and it feels like I am wearing PJ's all day! It is so comfortable and doesn't put any pressure on my belly.
If anyone wants to get one for themselves here is the link: dress
Eek! Try taking some zinc, which is safe during pregnancy (as long as it's within the daily recommended dose) and proven to shorten the duration of illnesses!
Also, just a quick note that getting the flu shot will NOT give you the flu! . It's an inactive form of the virus and it's impossible for it to "activate" and infect you. If you do end up with the flu despite getting a shot, especially soon after a shot, you were going to get it anyway since the shot takes about two weeks to take full effect .
Got these bins off Amazon and finally putting them to use! We will see how long this system lasts (lol), but it’s making me feel a little more prepared so it’s worth it! I love that they have a clear slot for a label and they are good quality —>

We got the Britax 2017 B Agile & B Safe 35 Travel System on a black friday deal. I was looking at the BSafe seat anyway, so the combo was pretty much a no brainer. I went with this one because it had good reviews on amazon and other sites, was supposed to be easy to use (and idiot-proof) and I think one of the princes used it, so it seemed like it must be good (that one was mainly icing on the cake, but amusing).
Happy dance!
I ordered a backpack diaper bag from a Facebook Co-op right after I found out that I was expecting. I loved it in the pictures but when it arrived I just didn't care for it. Wasn't my style, not quite big enough, that kind of thing. It really stressed me out because I hate to waste money. It was only $30, not enough to starve us but not nothing either. I've been feeling so guilty about it and I was thinking about just sucking it up and using it. Then I found this one on Amazon and I just love it. It's not fancy or high end, those really aren't my style, but this one is exactly up my alley and even matches the little backpack I use for lunch and stuff when I take my daughter on picnics and hikes. I put it on my registry, but on Christmas day there was a promo code from the manufacturer that took 20% off, so I snagged it.
Then I felt really guilty for having paid for two diaper bags. Today I posted the one I didn't like on the b/s/t page for the co-op, and it sold within just a few hours. Money is in my PayPal and my husband is dropping the package off at the post office first thing in the morning. I know it's silly, but I have such anxiety about selling things online to people I don't know, I always think it's going to be a nightmare. I'm so relieved it was so easy and I recouped the money I spent. It's funny that something so small has made me so happy, but there it is. I'm celebrating.
I registered for kits on Amazon!
Fridababy Bitty Bundle of Joy Mom & Baby Healthcare and Grooming Gift Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01J8C1VVC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_DQjBAbFVJK7H5
Little Remedies New Baby Essentials Kit- Featuring Both Boudreaux's Butt Paste & Little Remedies Products, Safe for Newborns-6 Products Included in Gift Box https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075G6XMSF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_zSjBAb1K2P15T
I figured these will cover most things. And whatever else I'll need I'll buy.
I’m in the same situation as you and my work pants have metal hooks instead of buttons so it was hard to find a way to keep them closed! However, I did buy this belly band off Amazon because I’m not ready to buy maternity clothes yet and it has been pretty amazing. Plus, the feeling of my pants being tight around my gut made me sick to my stomach and now it’s no longer a problem lol.
The ergobaby 360 in dewy gray is even further discounted on Amazon today at $93! I canceled my Black Friday order and reordered it. Yay!
But now I have to go to work. Boo.
I have this one and LOVE it. I have a long back, and the other more conservative ones really don't give me enough support back there.
It seems like overkill at first, but it's really not. I just finished a 7 day road trip across the US and the days I wore it I had 0 hip/back pain from riding hours in the car.
My advice: If you or someone you know has Amazon Prime, find a couple different ones with free returns, then pick the one that suits you best.
I'm 32 weeks as well for the tailbone pain I go to a chiropractor twice month since my body is going out of alignment due to the baby , which helps a lot. I also bought a seat cushion from Amazon for work. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KG6RX3O?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
That description also sounds a bit like round ligament pain: https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/pregnancy-week-by-week/expert-blog/round-ligament-pain/bgp-20111536
Have you tried anything to help with the constipation?
Guh, I'm sorry you're feeling miserable too! Luckily the nausea has finally left me for a couple hours. I've been stuffing my face for fear I'll never eat again lol. Try something bland! A piece of bread got me started, then potatoes, then chili for dinner.
I got these from Amazon! I hope they ship to Canada! Also they say they're sour, but they're really not. :)
We got this one from Amazon. It's nothing special, but it has good reviews and I love that it has locking wheels if I ever need or want to move it. :)
I searched “loose dresses” on Amazon and found some super cute options. I now only wear dresses+leggings+black boots to work. If you’re so inclined, a cute scarf or necklace dresses it up even more.
This is an example. I ordered a size up to accommodate the bump and it works perfectly! There are tons of options on amazon!
I work on my feet and lately I've been having really bad problems with round ligament pain. This has been helping me tremendously. Not completely, but it's making my shift a little bit more tolerable.

We put this on our registry and are hoping to get it. I figure having her in bed with us for the first few months saves us the trouble of trying to find the space for an actual bassinet and it keeps the dogs away from her.
My in-laws bought us this Fisher Price bassinet for our baby shower. I hadn’t originally wanted a bassinet but now I’m glad we have it. It fits perfectly next to my bed.
I'm a professional hip surgery patient (6 before getting pregnant and #7 tentatively planned for about 7-8 months post-pregnancy) - you want a pillow that can go from crotch to ankles AND doesn't compress easily. I recommend this one.
I do 2 of them, one between-ish my legs (sometimes a little more forward and supporting only the top leg) and one that I kind of hug/roll-forward onto, so that I'm not stacked shoulders and hips vertical, but partially rolled toward (but not on) my tummy. I've ordered another because I'm noticing I sometimes do roll onto my back at night, and end up awake because of either GERD or the inabilty to breathe properly (thank you uterus for selfishly smushing all my internal organs out of place and up into my lungs.)
I tried a snoogle, as well as one of those giant U-shaped pillows and they just didn't provide the same kind of propping support I've found with these.
https://www.amazon.com/MONISTAT-Complete-Chafing-Relief-Powder/dp/B000FKLKXQ . <- only stuff that works. Little shorts and stuff never help under my dresses, but this stuff. And it offers relief. I got some for Disney awhile back and it has been a serious lifesaver.
I LOVE MINE SO SO SO SO MUCH.
I have a homedics one that's no longer a current model and for some reason listed at like $159 dollars on amazon...and we paid like $30 for it, so what's up with that? The new version is fancier than mine it looks like with a digital screen: https://www.amazon.com/HoMedics-Sleep-Relaxation-Machine-HDS-2000/dp/B00EREC7VA/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1516631154&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=homedics+deep+sleep&psc=1
My daughter has this one in her room now: https://www.hatchbaby.com/pages/rest
I have some white noise saved on spotify as well for travel so we can get it on our phones, which has been a life saver. My daughter has hearing problems, and I had to do a lot of testing with her asleep when she was younger, and I couldn't have gotten her down so easily without my handy-dandy portable white noise.
I don't like using the phone at home because I hate the screen and the speaker isn't as nice. I love ours because it's easy to use, has a timer (which we never use) but most importantly, lets us mess with the tone. Because sometimes after you've heard the same white noise for awhile, you start hearing some weird, crazy things.
My daughter's hatch baby rest has been awesome. I really love it because of the bluetooth and scheduling. Every night at 7, the orange light and noise comes on and all I have to do is drop her off. It sounds super lazy of me. Maybe it is. But I really love the thing. Their customer service has been awesome too (the speaker died on my first one). I've had it since the product first was released this April and can't recommend it enough.
I bought a 3 pack of these sleep bras because the thought of trying to figure out my ever changing size was too mind numbing to bother with. They work perfectly. There's not much support there, which can be frustrating, but it hides my nipples when they're at attention and I can stick nursing pads in when I'm particularly leaky.
They're comfy and accommodate my boobs at whatever size they happen to be on any given day lol.
Other than clothes and tolietrees for you and hubby....
Hair ties AND bobby pins. You'll get wispys and rebraiding your hair before you push won't be an option!
Slippers
Cheap, plastic flip flops like from Old Navy (for the shower!)
Camera if you have one!
Get always disposable underwear if your hospital doesn't provide. I didn't wear normal underwear for like 2 weeks :)
Snacks for dad and you - things like chex mix, etc. especially for after
Things to do - iPad or computer with Netflix, Hulu, etc.
And it's a good idea to bring your own pillows! My husband slept on a sleeper couch (what my hospital has) and had his own sheet (he has a thing called a cocoon: https://www.amazon.com/Cocoon-COCO-01-Cotton-TravelSheet/dp/B001DX803W) and pillow
I must be blind or maybe I need to try on my laptop instead of phone. This is what I see.
We got our daughter (25 months when new baby comes) a doll and stroller for Christmas. She had already been putting her stuffed animals to "night night" but now she is doing the same for Baby, as well as feeding her and whatnot. I think we'll get her a carrier for the doll this spring so that we can wear our babies together. We've also told her the name of her baby sister, and she will often point to my tummy and say her name. Of course, she will also point to my husband's tummy or her own tummy and say it, too, but she's getting there. Also if we're telling someone the name, we say, "What's your baby sister's name?" and she tells them.
I've been reading her these books. There's 4 in the series ranging from pregnancy to playing with your new sibling. They're pretty open ended and non-specific by design, so I've been replacing my daughter's name for "you" in the book and her sister's name for "baby" in the book. My daughter really likes the stories and she likes to answer the questions, and we talk about the things the new baby will do. I don't think she 100% gets it but so far she seems excited.
I'm pretty sure she thinks we're full of shit because I tell her her baby sister will be here soon, and we'll need her help to take care of her, but she has no idea what "soon" means. We might as well be telling her in Jupiter time.
We have the crib & dresser in our room. Baby's room has the boxes with the carrier, car seat, and frame stroller that I bought on Black Friday. And a ton of my crafting supplies and hubby's toy drone because it just happened to be a convenient room to store things. :x
My friends have been discussing baby shower for next month, I'm holding off on buying anything else (especially decorative stuff) until then. From my own experience attending baby showers, people like buying cute stuff - you probably can't coerce them into buying the car seat you really need instead of another dozen pairs of baby socks, but I'm hoping cute sheets, storage baskets, wall decor, etc. might be more enticing. I'm also looking into getting this playmat and having it double as an area rug, maybe consider something like that. :)
The changing topper was separate! It came with screws and such to attach it, but I just bought nonslip shelf liner and put it under it and it doesn't move one bit! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MFAL4TC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&th=1
I have a belly band which I wear with pants that are not too tight in the hips. It provides limited support. Last weekend I ordered a pair of these "support underwear" and they're great. Not at all related to keeping pants up, but supports my bump which in turns helps my posture and reduces hip/back issues.
Try out something that you aren't going to dump a lot of money into first - that way you can try. That and my $30 one has gotten the most use out of anything and I love it to death: https://www.amazon.com/Hip-Baby-Wrap-Toddlers-Honeycomb/dp/B01HKL6PQY/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1512405271&sr=8-3&keywords=hip%2Bbaby%2Bwrap&th=1
I have that color, but there are others. I tend to buy this for all the new moms for baby shower gifts.
We bought the Storkcraft Beckett 3-in-1 Convertible Crib for $40 thanks to a friend's Kohl's cash.
We also picked up the Colgate EcoSpring Ultra II when it was on sale.
Edit: I can't insert links correctly...
Amazon might be able to ship you some soup mix.
I am waking up 5-6x a night in discomfort. I fall asleep just fine but waking up so often is frustrating! I have a body pillow PharMeDoc pregnancy pillow from Amazon (sorry, not great at posting links) and have tried sleeping on both sides and back and just can’t get comfortable and end up tossing and turning for a while. Anyone else having this issue?
Sure!
I have this type of robe in a few brands, but this one is the best. It has pockets which is awesome for sticking a cell phone in.

I had it in a larger size for maternity - I'm usually a S/M but had this in L/XL so it was roomy with my larger belly and then comfy for the hospital and PPD. I still wore it while I wasn't pregnant too and it was super comfy.
Yes! It IS terrifying! I'm right there with you on the body weirdness and feeling huge because you're used to being small. I preemptively bought full-belly maternity jeans just in case, and then I ordered maternity jeans from a brand of regular jeans I like on ebay to see if I liked them. I'm still camouflaging the bump at work, but it's not going to last for long. Definitely look into adidas active underwear. I'm still in my regular underwear because they're super comfy and forgiving. I'm so sorry you're having a rough time :(
I am usually super rushed in the morning, so this is my go to protein shake Nature's Bounty Optimal Solutions Protein Shake Chocolate, 16 ounces https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007ZP1JGM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_TayN1ZsjnNfdj I use coconut milk because I love chocolate and coconut. The shake also has tons of vitamins. And it's pretty cheap as far as protein shakes go.
This is the one I bought. It's not available right now apparently, but I'm sure similar ones are just as good. Doesn't go flat on me, and the cover it came with is soft and a little fuzzy which I like.
> Baby Story app
For Android, there's this one.. I just downloaded it and it looks pretty cool for both belly photos and, well, really anything.
