If you were determined to use the AM radio, you might check out some of the short range AM transmitters and pipe over appropriate period music.
If I had the skill to properly restore old radios (from an electronics) point of view, I'd be really tempted to give it a go myself.
I'd think of this differently. There's definitely software that can help you create deco art like the example you provided... but it doesn't do it for you. The crisp edges looks like vector software like Illustrator and the texture is raster and looks like Photoshop. Last year, I made a lot of art deco advertisements and invitations. I used both Illustrator and Photoshop for the execution, but this Art Deco Pack as a starting point for the content: https://creativemarket.com/MehmetRehaTugcu/299515-Art-Deco-Bundle
For $40, it's a huge head start for whatever you want to create. It has fonts, textures, frames, borders, and badges.
you have to google art deco as it includes various features more complicated than a phrase (its a broad category)
Here is a short list copied from the short list simply websearching "features of art deco" :
Heavy geometric influences.
Triangular shapes.
Zigzags.
Trapezoidal shapes.
Straight and smooth lines.
Loud, vibrant, and even kitschy colors.
Streamlined and sleek forms.
Sunburst or sunrise motifs.
And its well covered online

You can hardly see the building from the ground due to the setback (the 'tower' was mandated to be 1/3 of the building ground layout)
I wonder what it would look like with some Fish Tank "Jewel Gravel" aka "Gravel Accents" in the bottom half. I've seen it in Amber once but Blue would work too. Hey, they've even got it in Glow in the Dark!

There is a newer edition of it, but maybe its a little over your budget. I own it and it clearly matches your search.
Definatley worth it.
Very nice. Post your thoughts/recommendations if they live up to expectations. I'm finishing up the the slightly dry but informative book by Alastair Duncan right now.

I would also recommend a catalog with Ruhlmann's work. A true master when it comes to art deco interiors and furniture. I did get to see live some of his work at the Musee des Artes Decoratifs in Paris. A must go for any art deco enthusiast. Here is a book about his work, but it's pricey..

This 2001 book is really fantastic, and I highly recommend it. It's a 200+ page coffee-table book, with tons of great color photos.

If you're doing eBay searches, beware - there was an earlier book (same title, one of the same authors I think), from 1980 -- here's one on eBay...
The 2001 edition is twice as big, WAY more pictures, much higher-quality printing. Seems to be available used (on Amazon) for less than $80 -- but if you can ever score one on eBay or something, for $60 or less, it'd be worth every penny.
My wife and I vacationed down there in about 1998, and loved all the Deco -- which we tried to see as much of as we could.
I found it on Amazon while browsing faucets. It installed easy & works great, but am now fearing longevity after some people remarked that it's from China. I'm hoping it lasts but if it doesn't, I'll definitely replace it with something of higher quality.
I've had this book on my coffee table for a while
I haven't read it all the way through, but so far I've found it pretty interesting. It also looks nice sitting out.
