Google some stage voice techniques, those can be incredibly helpful with clear dictation, articulation (god my director would drill that word into us, you’d slur a little during practice and she’d be like “what’s that??? Huh?? Where’s your ARR TEE CUH LAH SHON!!!) and volume! I’m glad I am of help, and I had similar stuff too, English is my second language and until I lived there for a few years I’d always go up a pitch when speaking English haha. Try do some loud reading of some texts, 30 minutes or so a day should get you far. Speech is like any other thing, practicing and honing it will eventually make it become like second nature!

Can't tell if its mold, water damage, or a burn. If it's one of the first two, cut it out (with a razorknife, nothing that's gonna got too deep and possibly hit electrical wires) and fill with drywall putty. They also sell small patch kits, such as this. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HVJ1R3M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_8OsDFbPH1J9R2
Something like this is a small premixed kit that should fit your needs for the patch itself.
Saxx boxer briefs, I prefer the ones with the extra-long legs, too. They're not cheap, but they don't ride up, they have a little web that keeps your balls off your leg, and they will last forever. I used to drive 60-70,000 miles a year and underwear that works well driving is hard to find. These worked great.
You will never regrets spending money on good underwear and socks.
They last so long Amazon tells me I haven't bought any since 2017 and the link isn't still good:

Get this guy. $18 solves all your beard trimming needs. Once you've grown your beard in a little, the long hairs will serve as a sort of "wall" that you can shave your neck right up to with your regular razor.

Hi u/curlyak I just finished shaving and had a few thoughts on my process. Shave in the shower with a fog less mirror. Wait a few minutes with the steam/hot water to soften your beard before beginning. Once the initial beard is removed, I hand feel for stubble and run the razor up against grain of hair. Nothing better than a clean shave where you haven’t missed a spot! Hope your week went well shaving.

Your results may vary, but if you can get hold of it, one book that really helped me with my temper was The Art of Happiness, by Howard Cutler and the Dalai Lama. You can sort of reprogram your mind to be grateful for the adversities you encounter in life, because they give you a chance to grow.
Forget the rice. That doesn't actually do anything. Get yourself some silica gel. That is what comes in the bottles with your pills in either a little cloth packet or a little plastic barrel shape. That's a desiccant which pulls moisture from the air.
You can buy it on Amazon here. If you live near a Home Depot, they have stuff too.
Turn the phone off in the meantime.
You can be introverted and still learn to mingle with people. I'm just going to put it this way: don't be afraid to break the ice. That just means put yourself out there and introduce yourself to people.
Start with your name and maybe where you are from depending on context. Having a hobby can help make friends that can lead to more. For example.... me and girlfriend had our first conversation at the bar about our love of coffee and being a barista. Her friend apparently was trying to talk to me but I basically ignored the friend to have an engaging conversation. I truly did not notice at the time. When you can relate to somebody or you miss how the feel you will know you like them.
BREAK THE ICE is where you need to start. Smile at people. Be genuine. A smile is worth 1000x any bad face or blank expression. Also I have a book you may like it is a study of communications.
As for PB, you can get that at most automotive parts stores. Ask the guy at the counter.
There are a LOT of parts to an AC system.
I ended up about $1000 to fix 3 separate problems. 1 was the condenser, 1 was a release valve that ended up thinking the system had too much pressure and kept venting the refrigerant, and 1 was a control chip that kept turning the condenser on and off. The last one was likely the culprit in breaking the other 2 components but the least visible problem.
Refilling the refrigerant is cheap as fuck. You could recharge it yourself for under $100 at the high end getting it from an autozone.
Oh, and your vehicle doesn't use freon, it uses R134A:
So the question is the $550 just to recharge the refrigerant, or is it to fix the problem?
Size is important. I recommend nothing larger than a 14" screen.
How expensive are the ones you're looking at? I've had to purchase quite a few over the last couple of years and honestly find the following to be really good price/performance for anything other than gaming:
I've been using the Flex series for about 5 years now.
Hi! Mom jumping in. If you do use the slop sink make sure you use a washing machine lint trap. You do not want lint clogging your drain. Something like this: Lint trap or you could use old nylons/panty hose/knee highs (if you have any).
There is a book called The Gift of Fear that I liked. It reminds you to trust your gut. If something feels off, you don't owe anyone an explanation or even politeness.
You did the right thing here and you should always keep up with this practice. If you just met someone, stay in public spaces. Don't go somewhere to be alone with him until you are ready and know him well enough. If something feels off, trust your gut and move on. There are plenty of other people to meet and not enough time to waste on people who don't feel right.
Expounding upon this a little bit as far as dad advice for traveling with important valuables that cannot be lost or cause major disruptions.
Carry only what you absolutely must in your purse or pockets. An undershirt valuables pouch for things like your passport, cash holdings and emergency credit cards will make it much much harder to pick-pocket. Purses and pockets are not secure to adept thieves.
Something like this that is worn under your clothes. Have paper copies / backups of important docs in your wallet or purse, but keep the real deals secured at all times.
Okay, you're looking for something like this.
Research it, I haven't used one, so I can't really recommend a brand. Look for one that's highly rated.
https://www.amazon.com/Beaquicy-TDIDVKZW-Indoor-Flexible-Clothes/dp/B098WCNSZ8/ref=sr_1_11
Make sure you empty it often! Will be a fire hazard if you don't.
Honestly ramps are preferred and safer. It's not hard to drive up them if you take your time.
But if you do want to get a set you'll want something like: https://www.amazon.com/Torin-Hydraulic-Trolley-Stands-Capacity/dp/B0028JQYQA/r
Okay not ideal but use something like these toggle anchors. Regular anchors and drywall can not take the strain. Actually in your case the drywall just doesn't have the ability to hold that kind of weight. Especially since I suspect that your mount has a swing arm which amps up the strain on the wall.
I've only worn these for the past 5 years and I can't imagine living without them. Keeps everything in it's spot even after a 10 hr day in the kitchen.
It may be a bit late for this trip but here’s my agvice:
It’s extremely unlikely it’s the electricity; if the electricity was the problem you would have other issues like lights dimming and flickering and it would most likely be frying other sensitive electronics like televisions, computers and your Wi-Fi routers. However if you want to check you can get multimeter like this one and test the outlet. But like I said it’s very unlikely that’s the problem. What your describing sounds exact like a bad compressor; it’s a common problem. My guess is you apartment complex bought many of the same units that have a defect. They are probably playing musical chairs with them hoping you won’t complain. Basically they owe you a new refrigerator. You are paying for a apartment with a functional refrigerator/freezer it is the landlords responsibility to make sure you have a functional unit; do not be afraid to complain this is 100% reasonable on your part.
Well unless you want to ensure your face is yanked into moving machinery or get strangled by some deranged individual for no apparent reason. I wouldn't tie a secure knot on this set up. I would get a break free barrel connection or something simular.

Look ex exterminator here ants are one of the most difficult to eradicate. You have to #1 remove any and all food availability. No crumbs no inside garbage. # 2 step up your ant killing game. This is a war, there can only be 1 winner.. so ypu need to get the colony not the ants you see net time you see a trail before spraying it, follow it, see where they are coming from then place the grants outdoor stakes below all around. Then also stop spraying the ants inside the house instead place the terro bait stations (,link below) all around where there is activity. You want to see lots of ants at the bait stations as they will take the poison and go back and feed it to the colony. Then you stay on top of it when ever you see ants put out a bait station. You should make sure you have a plunger at your house. Don't get one of those old-school ones like you see in cartoons. They don't really work well. You need one that can really push the stuff... like this.
You can try a plunger, but most of the time when you plunge, it just gets things to move just enough to go down with the gravity assist of water.
Do you have a snake?
Something like this is cheap and readily sold at hardware stores for a couple of bucks.
This might be your best bet of trying to snag the gauze and pull it back up...if it's not too far down.
For sure that would be great. Right now I'm doing a mix of things, math on little workbooks or from scratch, we also have a couple apps that are pretty decent "Fun mathematics and Bedtime math
Let me know what you recommend.
Stretch your hamstrings. And get up and walk around.
Also, tell HR to look at something like this. They’re relatively inexpensive. I had one that worked for me. A Varidesk thing and a padded mat to stand on. So for getting a sense of just general numeracy and what in education they call number sense I like Kitchen Table Math though I've only ever used book 1. There's a lot of math "games" and ideas that I later saw were really useful that I just don't think about. Like a game of I say a number and you tell me the number that adds with that to make 10.
After that I think the Art of Problem Solving Books that starts with Beast Academy and continues from there. Right now they're still writing the 1st grade curriculum, but everything else is fantastic. I really like the online version even as the problems then change numbers if the kids don't get it right and I'm not the one telling them they're wrong. Their later textbooks are also fantastic.

I would highly recommend getting shoes that are very comfortable to stand in. Sounds like you'll be doing a lot of standing. My absolute favorite dress shoes were dockers! Something like this : Amazon Link
I purchased them a few years ago at Costco, absolutely loved them and wore them out. The ones I had also had the Gel inside, so it was nice and soft. :)
This works the best for keeping your shirt tucked in.
47 year old dad here.
In the past year I've dropped nearly 40 lbs. It's never too late to get in better shape (knees still suck). Eat better, move more, and drink lots of water...and moisturize (I use this)
I live in MN in an urban area.
I have a 30" and 18" SnowPlow shovel
I also have a Toro snowblower. These are great shovels because you can actually treat them like plows and shove the snow mostly out of the way before you clean it up with a little bit of lifting.
Toro makes fantastic snowblowers that'll last 1-2 decades. You'll want a single stage version because they are lighter, easier to maneuver, and frankly you don't need anything bigger. It also won't have any issues with your 40cm of snowfall.
Yes, they are expensive, but they do a hell of a job.
It's very possible that you only cleaned the surface dirt/oil/grease/whatever, and the remaining stain cane up to the surface. You could try degreasing soap like simple green or Dawn, then use the carpet cleaner after.
Cleaning tip, we detailers use a hand drill and a brush to scrub fabrics, especially small spots like thoss.
I'd add to this: if you can afford it, get a little inverter generator like this or similar that you can put on the patio and run a cord inside to run a space heater or even your TV/DVD player or music, as well as your refrigerator.
These are small, portable, and quiet, and take relatively little fuel.
Mapping out the outlets and lights in your home based on breakers is such a useful thing to do even beyond Christmas. Also, swapping out bulbs for LED in your regular fixtures where you can will reduce the load on your electrical system so there is less draw overall.
Remember also that it isn’t just about lights. Go for decorations that reflect and you won’t need as many lights. When I was a kid, we used to have mirror garland. Hanging that up would reflect all of the other lights. I just saw this acrylic bead garland which seems like it could do something similar. Any reflective or refractive ornaments can help multiply your other lights and colors around the room.
Hey Kid! You're really thoughtful to do this! These are the best clips I've found and I've used a lot. Brightown All-in-One Christmas Light Clip, Universal Gutter and Shingle Clip for C7, C9 and Mini Lights, 100 Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0757JS11G/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_RDDZT9CBSSX0DVPVK3Y6
I live in a neighborhood where every house decorates for Christmas and I've had hit or miss luck with any other clips.
These work great on gutters, rooflines, many places you wouldn't think.
The command strips will not hold the weight of the heavy lights well and aren't great outdoors.
Good luck!!!
If the children are less than ten yo, warm them that inappropriate content may harm their health, and they cannot access suspicious links and videos. Once someone sends such unfriendly content or links to kids, they should tell you at once. You can also install a web history spy app on children's phone to check children's web browsing activities secretly. Once you find that they visit inappropriate content, talk with them to avoid problems furthermore.
I agree with the other dads about the letters, calendar and "movie exchange" ideas. A book can also be nice present, because you are giving not so much the book itself as the recommendation . As for what I want, I'd like one of these "Swiss cards" from Victorinox, or one of these: amazon.com/Lever-Gear-Toolcard-Money-Clip/dp/B01N00RERR (or similar). I like these kind of small and practical things to carry around, just in case.
I answered the same question here.

Based on your description and it being 300w, it is likely a halogen bulb similar to this: https://www.amazon.com/Halogen-300-Watt-Double-Inches-Q300T3/dp/B016N64JQU , but you won't know for sure until you get it out.
Word of caution, these bulbs get really hot, and the oil on your hands can cause them to crack. Handle them with tissue, or better yet, gloves when put it in. It would be FAR better if you could find a LED replacement, but I am not sure one is made.
A digital photo frame that can be updated via email. Pre-load a bunch of photos on it and give the address to other family members so that they can also send photos to it.
This one from Nixplay is my go-to for family members/old people. It's reasonably cheap and just works really well. Now whenever anybody in my family has a new photo they want to share, they just tap "share" and "mail" and send it to an address that spreads it to every "family frame" in a bunch of different houses, my parents, one, my brother's, my aunt's, etc.
Toilet auger is going to be your best bet.
Get a plastic drop cloth on the floor and a 5 gallon bucket and some nitrile gloves, and you'll be able to clear it up. Hopefully you won't need those things, but you might. Be prepared.
The auger goes into the hole at the bottom of the toilet and helps the flexible part make the turn up, which is usually where the clog is. You push the flex part in while cranking, and you'll be able to tell when you have the clog. Pull back, and it will pull the clog out and let the toilet flush.

Just sold an old set on FB marketplace and there were TONS of used drills there of high quality at steep discounts. Beware some may have fallen off the back of a truck, but I used to have a M12 Milwaukee drill that I used for these small projects for almost a decade.
Couple things to note:
1) Batteries are the most costly component, the drill will usually last longer, so make sure you see what batteries will run you to replace.
2) If you are thinking of ANY OTHER portable tool (circ saw, sawzall, hammer drill, sander, etc) try to get something that will take the SAME battery that is your original screwdriver, if possible. THis will lessen the cost significantly but will tie you into one ecosystem of tools. Granted a small screwdriver and a big saw will likely not have the same battery.
3) Buy a Hey Key Bit Set - all furniture, IKEA, etc you will need to put together 99% will NOT be a phillips or flathead, it will be these and an electric screwdriver with these bits will save you a TON of time. This one is pretty expensive now, I bought it so long ago, Im sure you can find a similar one for cheaper.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00313K0US
Having said all this, you can get away with paying little to nothing (Harbor Freight), used prices on high quality (CL, FB marketplace), or a starter drill/driver to build a tool ecosystem, just depends on your budget and future plans.
If you are going to hang a TV, these are usually LAG type bolts and will require some power, and an electric screwdriver will not likely work unless you are up there in size/voltage (18v), etc.
YOu can always lag with a wrench and socket set, but an electric screwdriver and mounting a TV are not likely to be compatable tools based on having to put a large lag bolt thru a 2x4.
Yes, even though it may work to power devices/appliances, that doesn't necessarily mean it's properly wired and grounded. One of those testers would definitely be a good investment!
And now that I think of it, you can find them cheaper on Amazon, and this one includes a GFCI tester which is also useful.

U/Trooze knows what’s up.
Go slow, and take your time. You’ll get faster as you do it more, rushing is when you hurt yourself. Shave after you shower. The hot water will soften you’re facial hair, and washing your face will get the gunk of your skin, allowing for an easier job.
Razors are hella expensive. I found an old-style safety razor like this one for ten bucks at an antique shop and bought 100 blades for it for $10 on amazon. The new ones are mostly expensive gimmicks. The old safety razor works just as well, and is easier to work in my mind, since there’s weight to it.
Invest in some quality aftershave. Back when I was clean-shaven, I found an Old Spice one I liked. It smelled nice, and made the razor burn go away.
Also, if your facial hair is thin, or patchy, it’s nothing to be ashamed of, I couldn’t grow a full beard till I was almost 30. Lots of dudes can’t ever grow a lumberjack beard. Remember though, with facial hair, it’s kind of an all or nothing thing. Half-stache’s don’t look great, so think long and hard about growing stuff out.
You’ll be fine.
You really shouldn’t have to say anything if you are man enough. Flex this and he will get the picture. If you want to maintain a positive relationship, offer to let him play with it.
Going forward, get one of these:

You may also want to reconsider shaving and think about trimming. Get a cheap little trimmer from the drugstore or amazon. I find it cuts close enough for the balls without have so much prickly sensation afterwords and no irritation.

A friend got us one of these books when our daughter was 6mo, and we quickly got the whole set, because they are amazing. They’re just really well done, with a lot going on to appeal to all ages. Our daughter is now over 2 years, and she still pulls these off the shelf on a regular basis.
I would go with sensory toys then. They are among the popular developmental toys for that age. Things like the first link and last link are both good. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002LDXZLU is also good... really anything along those types of toys.
I have all of those, and they will be perfect for 6+ months, since at about 6 months they really just start getting into the sensory stuff.
