If I've learned anything from my 8 years in Atlanta it's going to be a 90% chance of normal heavy rain with a few hard hit places and 10% chance of widespread utter chaos. Unplug your computers, grab some popcorn and flashlights and watch from your basement either way.
Also I've always found Wunderground to be a great resource with easy to understand weather info. https://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=Atlanta%2C+GA
1993 was a different beast altogether - it slammed the entire eastern coast, from torrential rains down in FL to blizzard conditions from Georgia northward. And it happened in mid-March (during my Spring Break!)
It was also the first major storm to be predicted 5 days in advance, which demonstrated the capabilities and usefulness of weather models.

I love this one. Bare bones and it sends me 20 minute rain warnings. So far the most accurate weather app I've ever used.
Edit, there's a pay for pro one that has more data than I'd ever use, but may be of interest to the rest of you.
I also keep my Acurite data here, updated every month or so. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uKJpAS7m3u7rNRk8bYpLevNUwb1VGSr_4nfudAvWy6M/edit?usp=sharing Raw data is here: https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KGAATLAN331
