>Subnets are a core part of its architecture (tldr: they do what eth sharding is intended to deliver)
And I doubt you've checked that, because subnets have nothing to do with execution sharding. Execution shards would have shared security, but subnets do not. The entire Avalanche network is only as secure as the least secure subnet. Take it up with Gavin Wood, I think he knows a thing or two about this stuff: https://hackmd.io/@gavwood/HJrgddTxD#More-information
>but haven't had much attention yet. They'll become an essential component as adoption continues.
Good luck telling people they'll have to sacrifice composability for 4,500 TPS max (and that's after state pruning) for every subnet. This is quite frankly a laughable plan for mass adoption, as it's not even close to scalable for global demand.
If you think that implementing other VMs like LLVM is going to help, it won't by much. And you'd still only have a network of networks with individual security each. It's flawed.
>The current situation is basically down to most of us relying on Ethereum tooling we've repurposed to talk to the c-chain that doesn't handle some of the differences in Avalanches design.
The current situation is basically down to Avalanche devs claiming breakthroughs in consensus, knowing full well that consensus is the least important bit when it comes to scalability. All they did was fork geth and raise the gas limits to siphon off activity, and throw a couple hundred million in incentives at dapp devs.
Reality checks hurt, I know. Here's another one: https://twitter.com/epolynya/status/1462871295767371781
Avalanche consensus was first published by a pseudonymous group called "Team Rocket", it's not patented and anyone can use or modify the protocol. An example is Iota, afaik they are planning to use a very similar protocol for "Coordicide", in their white-paper I think they just called it Fast probabilistic consensus.

You understand you can easily buy prints/reproductions/copies of any major work of art for practically nothing on Amazon, right...?

Yeah I know. I just wonder how they do it. If you have any idea how it's done to stop/allow someone from viewing the block. This is how Monero does it -> https://localmonero.co/blocks/tx/05d716bc9657129a88b2581bcb112ade228c7ce8b4d7ad3096a34aee140721c5 but I remember seeing somewhere that u can view the confidential info if you include a private key. Can't find that news anymore.
MIM is not an algo stable.
“The MIM token is a USD pegged stable coin that is backed by ibTKNs. MIM tokens are minted by the multisig holders on Ethereum, and only after being collateralized are they injected into the circulation. In the future, they may be bridged to other blockchains. As with most stablecoins, it will be traded on markets with other stablecoins such as USDT, DAI, and USDC.”

Yeah buddy, tell me about it. I bought my Nano S in 2017. Now I can't even manage more than 3 cryptos. This comparison speaks volume -> https://www.investopedia.com/ledger-nano-s-vs-x-5188903#:~:text=The%20main%20differences%20are%20in,three%20on%20the%20Nano%20S.

I've had success with CoinEx so far including their customer service after the Avax network became really slow and screwed up one of my withdraws.

Hey, it's me. We spoke earlier. Godex.io doesn't have it right now. Your best bet is Coinex.com with a VPN. Remember: They allow Americans, just not New York or Washington. But Coinex in the very unlikely event they asked for ID, you could always move to a surrounding state, since I know you're in New York.
What you're going to want to do, since Godex doesn't have it anymore (for the time being), is send your BCH to Coinex, sell it for USDT, then buy Avax with the USDT. And again, make sure to use a VPM so you have a non-New York, non-Washington IP address.
People recommending Gate.io are wrong. Gate.io requires you to verify your account before you can withdraw, and New Yorkers are not allowed. Hotbit (as well as Binance.com) do not allow Americans at all.
The only problem with Coinex is the liquidity is a bit low. It may improve as more people start depositing Avax again.
Look on the left side of this page where it says "trade history", and you can see what people are paying and how many people are buying.:

I use Avalanche the OG wallet. Mnemonic key phrase 26 words. I stake there earning AVAX tokens. Drawbacks ATM you have to use another wallet for all the level two applications Running in the AVAX’s and Ecosystem. Second wallet is MetaMask I use those two for the moment. Drawbacks both have mnemonic keys. That’s a lot of words to memorize.
I know Coinbase supports the C-chain. From the https://wallet.avax.network/ Avalanche wallet you can switch between C chain, to X chain, to P chain for free. It’s simple. The wallet is free as well. I store the NFT’s in the Avalanche wallet. MetaMask wallet is another wallet that is working well. I set it up to be an extension of my Chrome browser. https://metamask.io/ both wallet I mentioned are Trust wallets, Non-Custodial that use Mnemonic keys. Make sure you write down you key words. Also, it is good to have a separate wallet like a Nano X.
