The simple answer is no. You can’t prevent BPPV. I’ve had it a number of times over the past 6 years all seemingly random
Twice I had it within a few weeks of each other while other times it was years between occurrences.
I don’t drink booze (stopped 6 years ago), never smoke, no drugs, my only vices are peppermint tea and sparkling water.

Omg spinning non stop? Mine stops eventually i just feel hungover unsteady... cannabis can help just pick one for nausea. Dramamine or bonine. Ice pack on the back of the neck. I take lorazepam for anxiety attacks or I do breathing but you said that doesn't work. I was a stomach sleeper and that can mess up your neck including SCM muscle. There is a ton of stuff out there that people try and different things work for different people. Some things I would recommend you try and see if they help:
