The wheelchair girl in the striped dress is a bit lighter than Floral Pants Ponytail. Plus you get a wheelchair! Not sure about the latest wheelchair doll, I haven't seen her in real life.
First is Mattel 2012 Holiday Princess Cinderella. Second looks like Mattel 2008 Enchanted Giselle! Super gorgeous dolls! :)
Eden Starling from Barbie Christmas Carol. She must be having a moment because it’s the second one on here this week!
Maybe you could post a link of an example? You put barbie in quotes so I'm not sure if you are trying to say that you don't want a literal barbie doll, or what!
If you mean the type of doll that comes with a painted-on permanent swimsuit, those are currently the cheapest on the market ($5 USD brand new). You could probably arrange for someone in the US to buy a couple and ship them to you. Such as these: https://www.target.com/p/barbie-beach-teresa-doll/-/A-13528527#lnk=sametab
It may also be easier to buy dolls wearing whatever outfits they happen to be wearing, and just buy the swimwear separately. Such as these packs: https://www.amazon.com/ZITA-ELEMENT-Swimsuits-Swimwear-Slippers/dp/B07WKVKKXW/ref=sr_1_29_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=barbie+swimsuit+pack&qid=1622638691&sr=8-29-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyTjRLMEpCTlpLNkw5JmVuY3J5c...
Swimwear is also one of the easiest things to make yourself for barbies.
The lighting in the original pic is making it hard for me to tell if it's the pink or the purple one, but it's definitely a Barbie Fairytopia Sparkle Fairy I recognized it right off, because I have the blue one. Just had to look up the proper name and such. XD
The problem is that some collector dolls are produced only in small numbers, which means once that they are sold out, you can only get them second-hand and the sellers can demand whatever they want. It also depends whether they are still in the box (NRFB = Never removed From Box) and on the general condition.
If you are in the UK - I found her listed on amazon.co.uk for £69.99.
Thanks, its just a light up pedestal, the only downside is it just changes colors automatically. You can't set it to a specific color but for $10 🤷🏼♀️ and you can plug it in. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BWCQQ21/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_C6DZ8DK2RW4Q11T8VFYM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
IIRC green top tie-dye pants has the same skin tone, as does flowery pants with bun.
This is the only one I can find on Amazon in the US - the Ken with the topknot: https://www.amazon.com/Barbie-Signature-Brunette-Hairstyle-Collectors/dp/B08HFSLPQJ/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=barbie+look+collection&qid=1622311701&sr=8-7
I agree. I bought a bundle of 5 dresses with the same exact lace pattern.
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B075VLP5DB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
every one of these fit my blue haired curvy barbie. The pants took a bit of work, but they fit and look like leggings on her.
The shirt is good as a jacket for normal babries, but it fits her perfectly.
The dress is naturally loose, so its a little tight on her. but it fits.
The shoes and belt fit also. Its honeslty the perfect pack
I also recommend another one.. I can't find it on amazon so i can't give the name. But it has a very nice teal blue skirt with lace, a lavender top that sits off the shoulders, and white shoes and a white hand bag. The top and the skirt fit perfectly and are very cute. The heal of the shoes though are too high for the doll.
The technique I ended up using had you run glue along the top and bottom of the hair of the entire weft where it is sewn together, cut off a small weft, thread hair (with threader) into a large, long needle, and “sew” into place by pushing the needle from the inside to the outside of the head.
I was using the sewing technique originally, but I was cutting small wefts and tying knots into them to keep them in place. It was time consuming and messy. I did not like using a rooting tool, so I never finished a doll that way (maybe I’ll try again some day). But, I did one complete Barbie head and finished a second in one day...not sure of the amount of time. But with my starting method I had already worked on this doll several different days and easily had 1/3 of her head to go.
I purchased the hair on Amazon. I live in an area where doll making/customizing/repairing must not be much of a thing, so the craft/sewing stores had nothing. I just took a chance on some inexpensive synthetic hair and hoped for the best since I’m just learning. I would probably look for a different hair for the PJ doll I want to re-root, but also wouldn’t mind this for some other Barbies. I’ve also used this hair to make a Barbie wig.

-the one with purple dress and blonde hair is from the masquerade ball series(2007?)
https://www.amazon.com/Barbies-Island-Princess-Swing-Twirl/dp/B0015DUE6G- the other two most likely come from this set
Barbie I Can Be - Ballerina
https://www.amazon.com/Barbie-I-Can-Be-Ballerina/dp/B002XVRD36?ref_=d6k_applink_bb_marketplace
My mum got it from a friend so the skirt etc is missing. I will never be able to recreate the hair, but I can try!
Months later, it is now available on Amazon in the states: https://www.amazon.com/Barbie-GHX62-Fashions/dp/B07ZS9X4Q5/ref=pd_sbs_21_10?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07ZS9X4Q5&pd_rd_r=1140a3db-0bc5-412a-b3d9-e2a7ce713063&pd_rd_w=juVUm&pd_rd_wg=ePRnP&pf_rd_p=bc074051-81d1-4874-a3fd-fd0c867ce3b4&pf_rd_r=8F0PK7HDS83FJTHYQFAP&psc=1&refRID=8F0PK7HDS83FJTHYQFAP
Amazon link to little boy sandbox set for Babysitter Skipper same size as little girl in set you've refered to I've also seen them at Target
alledgedly she exists (link for reference)
she is listed in this form on various Amazon sites throughout Europe Canada has her listed but unavailable I've seen no US listings
Which doll is she, and when was she made? Most blonde Caucasian Barbies have the same skintone as the blonde doll with the ponytail and the pink/purple tie-dye outfit. Some very pale-skinned dolls have the same skintone as the first series MtM doll with the purple top.
Older Caucasian Barbies tend to be a bit more tanned than the pink/purple tie-dye pants doll. For these dolls, the current version of the red-haired MtM doll in the pale blue shirt and probably the blonde in the pink shirt from the first series (black pants) tend to be a good match (shown on the same page as the purple top, above). Without seeing the doll in person, it's difficult to say.
There are also variations, e.g. the wheelchair blonde is usually slightly paler than pink/purple tie-dye pants, and the BMR1959 Kira in the yellow hat tends to have a slightly yellowish tinge, but this can vary a bit depending on the batch.
The animation?
Barbie Looks 12 coud work but she's got heavy eye makeup.
She's at least tan, articulated, not smiling, I'm a little confused though because the pics I'm searching for of the character definitely is brunette, not black hair.
If it's got a finish on it (like these doll boxes) you can use Goo Gone. If it's matte or plain cardboard, this product will probably soak in or leave a stain so I wouldn't recommend it. My mom and I use Goo Gone on plastics, dishes, book jackets, packaging, etc. But not on magazines, comic books, paper covered hardback books.
Mine is Elizabeth Taylor Violet Eyes. I was just getting back into collecting when I first saw her and wasn’t prepared to spend $125 on a doll (and most of my dolls are less than $40). But when I finally decided she was worth it, she had sky rocketed in price. So I keep hoping I’ll run across her in an estate sale or something.
Its barbie extra #19! Shoe sculpt is absolutely amazing, im actually considering buying a second one to paint in white
It's from a BTS Prestige doll. They have amazing clothing pieces, the vest is embroidered and so well made for the pricepoint.
I think she's the doll from this set:
She has the same face as Fashionista #160 but the lighter hair makes me think she's the doll from the beach set.
The Sally Ride Barbie is yet another short-haired astronaut based on a real person.
Check out the Inspiring Women dolls, several more of them have short(ish) hair - Amelia Earhart, Katherine Johnson, Billie Jean King, Eleanor Roosevelt are some I can think of.
This doll from the Barbie Looks line looks distinctly Arabic to me and I realize Turkish women use more natural makeup, but she does have rich brown eyes, dark skin, and deep brown hair with minimal copper highlights. Her makeup is heavy, but eyeshadow can be scaled down and lip color changed if that's more desirable. I don't remember her number, but here is what she looks like on Amazon:
If you don't own her, it's a good time to scoop her up!
Barbie Looks come highly recommended but are not sold in stores. The made to move body is so much fun. I would go for a standard height one to start (#8, #11).
I believe the earlier Made to Move Yoga series with the solid color tops have decent screening without too much pixilation, I own the light blue, yellow, and purple top and they don't have pixilation.: link
Barbie Extra and Fashionistas are really hit or miss with pixilation, so I would see them in stores before deciding.
Another personal favorite which is about $12 with a coupon applied: link (No pixilation, made to move, soft crimped hair, and a very nice dress).
It's difficult to tell with the lighting, but this M2M Barbie looks like an updated version of her. Might be worth checking out if someone doesn't know for sure of a match.
Good luck!
Oh my gosh I found it! It’s a piece from 2010 Barbie Loves Glitter!
https://www.amazon.com/Barbie-Loves-Glitter-Blowdryer-Doll/dp/B0037UT1VO
It was basically used to press the glitter into her hair, looks kind of like a flat iron.
Samantha Chrisforetti should be a curvy match
this Extra doll is also curvy and should be a skintone match she's not as poseable as MTM but poseable nonetheless
petite body style Looks #3 is the only female made to move match
I don’t have this book, but it’s been recommended in a Barbie sewing Facebook group I’m in several times. Sewing clothes for Barbie
Possibly barista ken or any other broad ken doll?
(Love graystillplays, super funny youtuber!)
I haven't got the chance to test it myself yet, but if the waist clip can moved, it can be moved down and clipped onto the thigh of a curvy barbie.
It looks like the stands you are looking for can also be labeled "U shape". Not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for but this seems to be best price per stand at least on amazon. If you do look elsewhere the key words I used were "1/6 saddle doll stand U shape" https://www.amazon.com/Stands-Fashion-Model-Black-Transparent/dp/B08RWTB1Z5/ref=sr_1_31?crid=1GJJ0DNTZFTPA&keywords=1%2F6+saddle+doll+stand+u+shape&qid=1661497923&sprefix=1%2F6+saddle+doll+stand+u+shape%2Caps%2C159&sr=8-31
I ordered one from Mattel, but it was never shipped, so I bought one on Amazon and then canceled my order with Mattel (which wasn't easy). Lots of people ordered one and didn't get it. The 2021 doll is still available on Amazon and currently on sale for USD 68.
Maybe Princess and the Pea? You can find her cheaper on eBay and Etsy. If you want to do a body swap, she matches the Asian purple top yoga Barbie. Her hair reads a bit redder in person. It’s definitely a strawberry blonde
Fashionista 168 is still at normal retail price in most cases
If you are fine with a slightly tanner skintone than this person in the pictures and are willing to reroot the doll head (trust me, it’s not difficult, just a bit time consuming) , you may consider Lara Craft Barbie. Her face is narrow with a strong jawline, and I think her nose looks similar to the pictured person.
Barbie Looks (Sean) is a match (Amazon link)
It's this doll: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NQHZGZ6
Sculpt name is Tori. And yes, she's one of the coolest playline dolls this year - her screening is airbrushed, no pixelation whatsoever!
Are you in the US? They haven't had a new ken shoe pack in a couple of years. This one is the only one I know about. $4.49 on Amazon and usually about $3 if you can find it in stock at Wal-mart.
Isn't she gorgeous?!! I love that face. That's a Mattel doll but not a Barbie --it's one of the dolls from the Zombies 2 series. Never seen the series, couldn't tell you a thing about it but loved this doll from the first time I saw her.
They're not being made anymore I don't think, but they're still available on Amazon for a pretty good price. You can find this specific one here: Zombies 2 Willa doll
She comes on an articulated body like the Extra dolls, and it has some symbols/markings to match the movie, along with a couple "claw" marks on her cheek and some more intense makeup around her eyes. All easily "unpainted" with some acetone and a gentle hand.
Thank you!!! I’ve been getting into collecting more of the modern 2000s dolls they’re so cute! The short hair is a Barbie Basics Model #09!
Her top comes from Fashionista #18
I love the read headed doll I'm considering giving up my spare BSL doll to rebody her.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NMQX4V7?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
The new tall Signature Looks #10. Sold out atm but every so often becomes available for $20.

I just search "Barbie" and then change the sorting to newest first.
Barbie Fashionistas Doll #187, Brunette Ponytail, Shift Dress, Pink Boots, Behind-The-Ear Hearing Aids, Toy for Kids 3 to 8 Years https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NMQDJRZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_KWV39AMQE8MKZN3K5H5E?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Acording to my purchase history I ordered on the 14th but it looks like she's out of stock right now. I'd keep checking back though. They typically get move a little later.
Amazon link. In general Google lens is very helpful if the doll is fully clothed, I recommend it. Especially works great for searches like this when it’s a promo photo.
There's only one available right now, #10, on Amazon. It's currently temporarily unavailable but knowing Amazon they'll have her back in stock soon. Here's the link I used to order:Barbie Looks #10
Is it this? I think there were a couple of different ones. Barbie Fashionistas In The Spotlight Glam Doll
No 2nd outfit or additional clothes, which is disappointing. I pinched and zoom on Millie and I feel like 70% sure they are tights based on the way knee articulation looks here
Typical “extra” accessories. Here is the description of contents from Amazon’s pre-order link for doll with teddy bear print dress:
Blue heels, pink socks, metallic micro sunglasses, purple gloves, a heart-shaped handbag and lots of luxe, layered jewelry inspire self-expression and storytelling fun.
Hope that helps!
No, you should be able to fit her in just about any Barbie clothing that you buy. The exception is if you bought a Curvy Barbie doll (such as this one with pink hair) -- they can usually squeeze into regular size Barbie doll tops, but they needs curvy-sized bottoms.
I use something called ひっつき虫. It’s a reusable white sticky putty that doesn’t leave any residue. You can buy it on Amazon Japan. If it’s not enough I use a hidden stick in the back to help them balance.
Just a follow up in case you’re still searching. I found some on Amazon. Not sure if links are allowed but hope it helps.
Barbie Chelsea Doll 3-Pack, 3 Chelsea Dolls Wearing Dresses and Shoes, Toy f... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NQKCQHS/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_api_i_2Z3P5HNP4TGMK31P43WS
Actually, she may be a good match for this M2M doll. https://www.amazon.com/Barbie-Flexible-Brunette-Ponytail-Athleisure-wear/dp/B08KBXF8RM/ref=sr_1_4?crid=OK8ZT3TC0JHE&keywords=made+to+move+barbie&qid=1650486669&sprefix=made+to+move+barbie%2Caps%2C147&sr=8-4
Their facial structures are similar enough that with paint she could be created to look like Iza. They are also the same skin tone, or very similar. Then a reroot, or wig, and a set of clothing should finish her up.
I just got this M2M doll in the mail today and was going to use her as a body donor, but changed my mind because she is stunning. That's why her face is fresh in my mind.
That's Fashionista #190
The hammock and pink pillow are from this Barbie dream camper .
The pink little legs that look like stacked bubbles are from a Chelsea chair. Could be from the tree house playset, but I think they may have been in other sets too.
I love the newest signature ken doll with the dark hair. I just wish it was short. I've been tempted to give him a haircut but I'm afraid I'll mess it up.
So I tried two different bodies for this doll--
This one here (#1)
And this one (#2)
Neither is a perfect match, but #2 is much closer and didn't bug me as much. I can take a picture of her later to show you if you want.
I just got them on Amazon today. it was a 3 pack and I love the flat base!
here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IW9ODJE?psc=1&ref=ppx\_yo2\_dt\_b\_product\_details
There's a Mattel shoe multipack for Curvies and Talls.
https://www.amazon.com/Mattel-Barbie-Accessories-Curvy-Fcr93/dp/B01IKOZDA4
Also check out shoes for Blythe dolls. I bought a multipack of shoes advertised as being for Blythe dolls (plain court shoes with a medium heel and ankle straps that you can however cut off) and they are a great fit for Curvies and Talls. There was a pair each in black, white, red and pink.
It looks like the BMR1959 tall Millie. If you're in the US, she still available on Amazon for a great price!
Ah OK, found her now. I had searched for Mera but only found one in a kind of catsuit outfit.
Hi, it was included in a lot I purchased with some Phicen/TBLeague bodies. I searched '1/6 grey suit' on amazon and found a bunch of sellers who have the same one for under $30: https://www.amazon.com/Prettyia-Scale-Gentleman-Figure-Accessories/dp/B07VWV3BXL/ref=sr_1_2?crid=28H160W8MAJ2M&keywords=1%2F6%2Bgrey%2Bsuit&qid=1646545898&sprefix=1%2F6%2Bgrey%2Bsuit%2Caps%2C62&sr=8-2&th=1
Looks like you can find them on Aliexpress as well, but I didn't see one that came with the belt for some reason.
I just found this astronaut action figure on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/Click-Play-Astronaut-Exploration-Accessories/dp/B07G9NZFVM
Looks like a good price, even if you want only the outfit.
There is a shoe pack for Tall and Curvy Barbies:
https://www.amazon.com/Mattel-Barbie-Accessories-Curvy-Fcr93/dp/B01IKOZDA4
The new packaging is a bit different, but the shoes are pretty much the same.
The fashion packs that Mattel produces these days typically will fit all Barbies, including the Curvy ones. I bought the Mattel bridal gown with the black ribbon round the waist and put it on a Curvy, and she looks great. There are also sellers on Etsy and eBay who make clothes for Curvy dolls, but they tend to be expensive.
Making your own doll clothes is also an option.
I'd try the BMR1959: link
I love your purple choices; they suit her very well, especially how they are blended in her irises!
If you haven't already looked into it, a headband magnifier with a light source can make a huge difference when you're working on those fine lines. I have one similar to this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077D5Z29W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The second letter/number combination on her back, FJF44, is the SKU. You can search for this number and "barbie" to find out who she is.
In this case, she is here on Amazon.
the striped shorts are from the Barbie and Ken Beach Cruiser set
Some lace-up Blythe doll boots fit flat-foot Barbies length-wise. They are fairly wide, but you can put socks on the doll for a better fit. Also, the wide bottoms mean that the doll can stand unaided for a few seconds, which is good for photos. I haven't found good flat-foot Barbie shoes elsewhere.
Have a look cheap multi-packs of clothing like you can buy on Amazon, eBay, Etsy etc. Usually there are a few items I like and a few I don't like too much (usually because they are too brightly colored or glittery for my taste). I put the ones I don't like on dolls I donate to charity (flea market finds or rebodying remnant frankendollies). There are some pretty single items and sets by 3rd party sellers on Amazon, e.g. a set of jeans + faux leather jacket + white crop top that's actually quite nice.
Also, look into clothes for Steffi Love dolls, they fit standard modern Barbies and are often nicer than Mattel's Barbie fashion packs.
There's an Etsy seller who makes "edgy" Barbie clothes with a goth vibe, but I don't know their name. Quite pricey though.
Lastly, search for elenpriv on eBay, very nice but also pricey.
it came in this barbie pink passport fashion 10 pack from around 2017, i believe the pink passport line is exclusive to toys r us. seeing it sparked a memory for me because my best friend had that pack and i wanted that romper so badly... https://www.amazon.ca/Barbie-Pink-Passport-Fashions-pack/dp/B01LIVQYKO
Have you tried the wheelchair M2M doll? As a general rule, the Millie sculpt dolls all have the same skin tone. If the wheelchair one doesn't work out, try comparing her tone with other Millie M2Ms.
Alternatively, the WWF doll hands can be swapped out with the M2M bodies. If you have one laying around, you could test to see if they swap out on the pivotal bodies.
Good luck!
I tried looking on the internet based on what you described
https://www.ebay.com/itm/401352695941
Barbie In A Mermaid Tale Swim 'N Dance Mermaid Barbie Doll https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003FZAAVG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_CEY2NBEBBN3G2F52W22G
This Barbie Looks doll is tall. She's still a little hard to come by for retail price ($20) here in the US, but try your favorite online stores and see if you can find her. If not, she is still in production, so keep checking.
The second number on her back is the product number. Search for it, and you'll see who she is.
https://www.amazon.com/Barbie-DGF23-Fashionistas-Doll-5/dp/B00TE3PBWQ/
Not sold out and they're still showing up for Prime at 20$ as well as for 14$. 0o
You have to scroll to the bottom of the listing (under the image picture). To the bottom right it says "More buying choices." Click that and that's where you find the cheaper prices.
I wouldn't actually boil her head. You can boil water and put it in a bowl. Then, submerge her head in the water for 2 minutes to soften the glue and her neck.
This type of forcep tweezer works great.
You usually don't have to pinch and pull the hair out through the neck. Scraping the inside of the head is usually enough.
Good luck :) :)
I hope it's okay if I jump in and try to help. The first one is from the first wave of BRM1959, and the 2nd is first wave Looks #2 Elle.
BMR1959 seems only 3rd part sellers have her on amazon and walmart at the moment, but she's usually around $30.
$20 Elle on Amazon US: link
Oh I forgot to mention that I use these Kaiser stands LINK which work great! They come in white, black, and maybe some other colors too, but those are the right height. Congrats on the Avon and Vera dolls!
Thank you! and no, I wish I was talented enough to make a dress like this. But I did find it on a broken Barbie at goodwill a couple years ago. And I’ve just been holding onto it. It’s from an Avon Barbie that was styled to look like a woman from the 1890’s Avon Barbie
I found a match for Kit today! Her clothing had been changed, but I am pretty confident it's this doll: https://fashiondollz.de/wp-content/grand-media/image/2017-Standard-Fashion-Barbie-Floral-Dress-blonde.jpg
She's one of the budget dolls that originally sells for like $4.99 at Walmart. She's still available from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Barbie-12-Inch-Fashion-Doll/dp/B01N63NJR1
As a budget doll, her hair is lower quality than Fashionistas, much less Looks etc. And her head is bigger than the original (for some reason, the Daisy face sculpt is just.. big).
But she's super cute. At least she'll do until I find a better head.
November 1st they'll be released on Mattel Creations for $40 US each. So will probably be like $60 Canadian each 😆 Careers is on Amazon but currently unavailable for purchase https://www.amazon.ca/Barbie-GXL24-Signature-Dolls-Multi-Colour/dp/B08TZNQ2TQ
This MtM matches best with the Yellow Top MtM Barbie! She may also match the new curvy Looks doll, if you wanna keep her curvy.
Her hair is exceptional by the way, if you choose to restyle it. I used my head swapped extra to make a POC Rapunzel as a commission that I couldn't sell.
Ah, it’s fashionista 149, raquelle! Was this the doll you seen? She could match her decently I think but a better match would maybe be the made to move dancer doll. Unfortunately I can’t find any of her for a reasonable price! Didn’t know she had such a markup. Check your lovely doll against the doll I’ve linked in a shop near you and see if they match. I’ve heard mercari is a good place to shop barbie for Americans if you want to look for the dancer! :D
Yes it's a really good book actually, it covers 4 different Barbie sizes 🙂 here's a link to it in case anyone wants it: Sewing Clothes For Barbie
She's the current blue tiedye pants: link
I don't think she looks very African, I think all modern Barbies are Chinese.
