I saw Julia Quinn on Instagram posting some message from Avon Books about how they are printing more copies as fast as they can because they are so in demand at the moment. So you should wait or buy the ebook, which is at a normal price.
If there are indie bookstores where you like, you could also try asking them if they have any copies, those should be at a normal price.
I would also look at Alibris.com, I have found some used books in like new conditions there (they also sell new books, but sometimes you get really good deals with books the libraries can't use anymore, and the money goes to fund a public library!)
Not a show (soon, I hope!), but there is the Pink Carnation series by Lauren Willig.. Similar concept as the Bridgestone books, but with a spy/mystery thrown in - and dueling modern/Regency love/timelines.
Julie is queen. She’s such a fantastic narrator! If you didn’t know, she also narrates her own audiobook
Go all out! I had a dress, gloves, fan, and a head piece. I had formal jewelry already. My dress was $50. The accessories were cheap. I returned the dress because it’s I’ll never wear it again since it’s not my style. I wore heels but I’m comfortable in heels.
This was my dress:

I went to the LA one and literally only saw 1 person who wasn’t dressed up but they were still in a cute brunch dress.
The event wasn’t louder and any busy bar I’ve been too.
My advice is get there early. I think they let you in 20-30 minutes early. We got there right as it started and didn’t get to take photos with everything. It’s seriously over in a blink of an eye. That’s my only complaint. It’s over too fast. I enjoyed getting to bow to the queen. That part was super immersive.
Seating is only available for vip but it’s such a short event. I don’t think VIP appeared worth it at all.
How to make the most of it… hmm. Everything is a photo op. Take your photos! Watch all the attractions. Go bow to the queen! You don’t have to but it’s fun. Get creative with your bows. Everything else is straight forward and looks exactly like their Instagram.
Take in your environment. It’s super gorgeous and you literally feel like you went through a portal to Bridgerton if everyone around you is dressed up. Everyone looks SO pretty and the energy was wonderful. You could really feel the excitement in the air.
The selection seems random. I thought they would look for someone that looked like they were having the most fun but I think our diamond appeared a little reserved. She was very pretty.
They released a show tie-in edition of TVWLM in USA and UK. I received the uk edition ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bridgerton-Viscount-Bridgertons-bestselling-inspiration/dp/0349432139/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3RWXTEA2LNKOX&keywords=9780349432137&qid=1650240761&sprefix=9780349432137%2Caps%2C189&sr=8-1 ) a week ago.
>I also noticed the show scripts are written by an all-woman team.
The showrunner responsible for the first two seasons of the Netflix adaptation (Chris Van Dusen) is male. He is the creator and primary writer for the first two seasons of the show. Jess Brownell will be leading the next two seasons.
Men can write about, and for, women just fine -- there are a lot of male romance authors out there writing under female or genderless pseudonyms because doing so is part of their marketing approach (they sell better). The reverse is also true, women can write men in a way that is completely believable.
Writing is a business as much as it is a craft. It's important for writers to know who they are marketing to, and to write for expectations of that audience. That means market research. That means writing in the correct voice. Hitting the correct beats (romance readers can be ruthless if this particular need isn't met, hence popular primers like this).
If skilled writing feels gendered, then there's a decent chance that it's meant to -- because that's what sells the best to the audience it is intended for.
Here is an excellent reference for Regency & Regency Romance https://www.amazon.ca/Georgette-Heyers-Regency-World-definitive/dp/1402241364
Covers every aspect from etiquette to carriage styles to dining (more important than you suspect) and titles.
If you search, “Square neckline + empire waist” that’ll get you a good selection to choose from. You’d need to filter further for material and length.
This isn’t perfectly bridgerton but I am going to Bath this summer so wanted a bridgerton-ey dress to wear. This is the one I bought and it’s really flattering. Amazon Bridgerton Dress
This is the website that my friends and I use, click this URL for basic instructions: https://aggie.io/help
It's a drawing website. But we upload pictures onto it, and use it for colouring instead. Hope this helps!
I got this for myself. It's not Bridgeton era esque, but it makes me feel very feminine.
